Very early in the morning, Bryan walked into the lobby of the station with a bright expression on his face. He would be receiving the reports and investigation results from Regina today but that wasn't what made him happy.
For some reason he just felt happy and calm and he hadn't had such feelings in years. He rubbed his neck and made for the coffee area.
"Excuse me, detective."
He looked around and found Bernadette rushing towards him from the opposite side of the lobby. He stopped and waited for her to catch up.
"What's up?" he asked in a faint voice.
"There's a call informing us about the discovery of another homicide victim, I was waiting for you."
Bryan stopped for a while before blinking, "is the victim here or in Wakeville?"
"Here, we need to hurry and join the chief and the rest." She said dutifully.
