The next morning, Maria sat on the couch with her phone in hand as she went through the internet to check some few things. She was waiting for Fred to return from his morning jog so she could talk with him.
She only had to wait for about ten minutes before he returned and grabbed a water bottle and drank it with one gulp. His eyes trailed to the person on the couch and she didn't even act like he was there.
He was about to say something but she beat him to it, "I'm leaving."
For the first time in a long while, Fred's brain needed a reboot. He thought for a second but couldn't come up with a suitable explanation of what she was talking about so he asked, "What are you talking about?"
"I'm moving out of the house, I've gotten a new place and it's nice." She replied calmly without even looking up to see his ashen face. she didn't need to look at him to know he looked stumped.
