Bernadette returned home feeling drained. She dragged herself inside and gave Walter a kiss on the cheek before plopping on the sofa. She had worked tirelessly with the team at the academy in search of a channel that could point them to the right direction.
Their efforts finally paid off after almost six hours of nonstop work. They finally found a clue that connected the local store to a drug dealer. From the evidence found, the local store had no idea what the substance was and they ignorantly put it in their store and it contaminated their products.
As it was the case was finally handed over to the police, her work was done so she could now rest. She closed her eyes a bit and dozed off but was woken up by a shaking.
"You should go to your room and sleep." It was Walter.
She yawned and checked the time, it was almost 11p.m. she looked weak, "why aren't you in bed yet?"
"I went to bed but I came back to check on you." he said.
