"Doctor, your 1 p.m. appointment is due." The assistant announced as she peered into the office.
"Okay, tell him to wait in the examinations room." Dr Adama raised her head slightly and spoke calmly. She was a woman of good temperament and her tone was always the same. She was never annoyed…or at least that's what people saw in her.
She flipped through the medical files in her hand and read with utmost seriousness. After a while, she put down the file and went out of his office to meet the patient.
It took her thirty minutes to do all the examinations and told the patient to wait for the results of the test and also the diagnosis and prescriptions. She went back to her office and continued with her reading.
Just earlier she had received a call from Maria informing her about her recent memory loss. According to her, she slept till noon and when she woke up she couldn't remember doing anything but her body had pains all over.
