Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Which To Choose? A Glimpse Of Gaea

As Sid went to the first floor, he went to room 1 - 3 and found a girl surrounded by her friends. The girl had jet-black hair, onyx black eyes, pale white skin, and is as small as 4'12. If you're thinking that Sid likes her, you're wrong she's only his younger sister.

"Anne!", Sid called her.

The girls stopped talking to each other and looked to see who called out to Anne, seeing that it was her brother they waved.

"Are you going somewhere with your friends today?", asked Sid.

"Yes brother!", she answered.

Sid continued, "Be sure to get home before six" as he looked at his watch which said [4:30pm]. He then left the school and headed straight home, listening to music along the way.

"Do you see the light ahead... Face the night ahead?"

"So far away, so far away..."

While he walked it suddenly started raining, so he ran as fast as he could. As he ran a poster was blown by the wind and lightly hit his stomach, not bothered by it he continued to run. Eventually he got home, he said "I'm home!". He took his shoes off before he rushed to his room, and got ready to take a shower. He placed the poster on his table and left the room.

After he finished showering, he checked if Anne brought her umbrella and he noticed soon enough that only he forgot...

After he entered his room, he found the poster on his table which was sticked out in his neat room. Taking his time, Sid read it and was soon surprised.

The poster talked about the first VRMMO game being released and he can pre-order the game console, with the game of course. With a price of ₱5,000 he could buy both of them, which is also said to be 50% cheaper as long as he uses the coupon code on the poster. For convenience there was also a QR code on the poster so he can immediately open the site to buy it, so he scanned it.

When he opened it, he saw a familiar site for buying things called Amazone¹...

Sid checked the reviews and the rating, they were both good but when he looked at some of the reviews that were quite odd. He couldn't help but wonder, what are they talking about? The VRdevice was sent almost instantly? Then he looked at the device it self, which apparently was a ring...

'Am I getting scammed here or something?'

Before he bought it, he googled the name of the game and found some results... Well the name at least and he couldn't find it, what appeared was a woman. Sid searched once more, but this time he added Game then to his luck it appeared.

'So it had their own site, let's see here'

Sid tapped on the [Features] option and sure enough, all the games unique features was shown. One of them was the ability to have as many classes as you want, but the game also cautioned players that it'll be harder to play the more classes you have. Well unless you wanted the class [Jack Of All Trades], it also showed all the classes. Although because of the Tier system in the game, some classes can only be obtained once a player meets the requirements. He needed to be a fighter first before he could become a [Swordsman] or one of it's class advancements [Martial Artist] or [Pugilist].

"Why doesn't it show the classes for tiers four and above? It's said here, that there are a total of twelve tiers. Hmm, maybe the special classes start appearing there?"

"Anyway, let's see which class do I like best?", said Sid as he scanned through them. There were five basic battle classes and they were; [Fighter], [Mage Apprentice], [Archer], [Thief], and [Priest].

"The game also features class fusion so I should choose one that can be fused when they reached a certain point...".

Sid thought about it for a minute and decided, "How about [Fighter] and [Mage Apprentice]? Hmm, I guess it sounds pretty good. Then [Fighter] and [Mage Apprentice] it is".

"Now I'll have to think about their races system, it's said here that I can have half-breeds as well. I've always liked Beast people, but disliked their usually brawny bodies so how about I choose it as a sub race and the main one should be... Hmm", Sid glanced one more time on the [Races] section. There were a total of five races, namely; [Human], [Beast People], [Demon], [Elf], [Dwarf], [Dragon People], and [Fairy].

[Humans] was a race that was all-rounded, it was perfectly balanced. It can hold all the known energies except for some, for example [Dragon Essence] wasn't something it can have unless it was a half dragon person...

'Every other race can hold those energies, so it really isn't a big deal...'

"I'm already a human so I want to experience being something else, so it's a no go".

[Beast People] was a race that has powerful bodies and can transform into their [True Forms] which was the source of their bloodline, for example; A tiger person will transform into a tiger. Sid thought, 'They also excel in [Calamity Arts]/[Demi-God Arts] and in [Aura], I know that humans can use [Aura] too but not as good as [Beast People]. They have buffs when they use it, so it's really perfect for what I'm going to make'.

Just imagining himself, duping his enemies into thinking that he can only use long-ranged attacks, made Sid laugh.

Going back to reality he continued to read each and every race's advantage and disadvantage, for example a beast person has a hard time learning magic but it wasn't a problem as long as they're half something else.

"I'll go with [Beast Person] or maybe I should go with [Dragon Person] instead?", Sid asked himself. After a few minutes of thinking, Sid finally understood the problem he had. Every race was great, well except for [Human] that is...

"I'll think about it later, I should buy it first".

Sid opened his phone and pressed the buy button, 'I have enough money saved so I should be able to buy it, right?'.

"Ding!"

'Oh transaction complete, I should be able to get it in umm...', Sid looked at his phone and saw a countdown.

3!

"Huh?"

2!

"Why's it only three seconds?"

1!

Bang!

Sid could hear something exploding, and a blinding light flashed from his phone.

Thud!

Five seconds passed and Sid could see again. He looked around and found nothing, but when he looked down he saw a black box with an instruction manual printed on top of it.

Sid picked it up, read the instructions and found it quite easy to understand. Following it's instructions Sid opened the box, he gasped when he looked at the box.

"I almost forgot that it was designed to be a ring, anyway without further ado", Sid casually slipped it on the middle finger of his right hand. Then felt like something pricked his middle finger, "Ding!". A panel suddenly appeared out if thin air.

[Successfully saved DNA data... Would you like to log in? Y/N?]

Sid remembered that he had to lie down on a bed if he didn't want to get hurt whenever he logs in, so he laid on his bed.

"Yes!"

Then Sid blacked out, the next thing he knew he was in front of a mirror and it reflected a teenager. The teenager had Jet-black hair, Onyx black eyes, skin that was a little light brown yet white, and a height of 5'2. As he looked at the mirror, options started appeared out of thin air.

[Hair Colour]

[Eye Colour]

[Height]

[Race]

[Starter Clothes]

Half an hour passed and Sid successfully finished choosing which race he wanted, in the end he chose to be a [Phantom Sith] and a [Purple Demon]

"Phantom Siths are 3× faster than a normal Beast Person, they're also only 0.02× weaker than a normal one. Although I wouldn't have a lot of options when I do add a [God Tattoo]² on myself, that's not a big problem. They're also one of the only ones that are innately good with magic and aura at the same time, but they're a notch weaker physically later. Haiz! There's really nothing better than being a specialist rather than an all rounder"

"Purple Demons on the other hand are pure magicians, they have an innate affinity for spatial, dark, and poison magic. They also have demon scales unlike others, and because I have demon bloodline I can use Demonic Energy".

Sid looked at himself through the mirror, and what he saw was a person that looked very much human. A human with snow white hair, vibrant purple eyes, Jade-like² white skin, and a height of 5'2. The human was wearing a dark blue long sleeved shirt, a pair of black gloves, black pants, brown belt, and a pair of brown leather shoes.

"The best part is the fact that my beast and demon features only appear when I activate my bloodline, like this", said Sid before he "Hmph!" and he instantly transformed. Bat-like wings appeared on his back, a pair of white cat ears on his head, two tails appeared one furry while the other scaly black, and the sclera of Sid's left eye turned black.

"It seems I don't have enough control and half activated both of them... Well I'll practice that later".

A panel then appeared, saying...

[Are you satisfied with you avatar? Y/N?]

"Yes, I am".

"Hmm...."

Sid thought about it for a minute before answering, "How about Azazel?"

Sid excitedly said, "Yes".

[Generating Special Talent Skills...]

Sid then blacked out once more, but this time when he woke up he was in a forest. As he looked around he was surprised, not only did the game look realistic he also had all his senses. He could smell, feel, taste, and hear.

"Hmm, I can taste my fingers... Anyway, where am I?"

A panel appeared and said...

[The Forest of Beginings]

"Oh right, I remember the system talking about Special Talent or something. What was that?"

[Every player generates three talent skills once they finish creating their characters]

"So the game's system also answers questions, I'll give this a good feedback. Anyway how do I check my talent skill or my status screen?".

[Say "Status Screen", "Talent Skill Screen", or "Skill Screen"]
