Hell Week Event # 3.2 : Coronation Night

I WAS WEARING blue fitted gown bought by my mom while my own personal make up artist is fixing my hair and doing re-touches. I can't bear to smile and acted like nothing because of what happened. When I exited the room, I saw Sniper who is waiting for me. He is wearing a fine and neatly folded navy blue tuxedo with his weird smile. He offered his hand and I gladly accepted that.
Its already in a Q and A segment, it's the last segment before the coronation. Girls were the first one to be questioned followed by boys.
"Ohmy sis! You're so pretty today!" Vina shouted, and maybe it was just this time when the admins allowed them to enter the backstage. Bianxi almost had a hand to hand to combat with the a girl who is holding the event. They approached me and hugged me. Maybe they noticed the sadness that is crossing in my eyes that made them quite.
"Hey girl! what you frowning at? Smile" they comforted me but it was a fail. It doesn't affect me at all. Im the next one in the queue. Im not even sure if I can answer properly in front of those people and audiences. I left, leaving Bianxi and Vina with my parents.
"Let us welcome. Ms. Xavrina Alexiahiana Fortalejo here on stage" the emcee cheerfully announced. I slowly walked as I hold my long gown. Preventing myself to fall. My heels is bothering me but I still need to be confident. I deeply sighed when I finally reached the stage. I forcefully smiled while I walk to approach the mic.
"Ms. Qien.Will you give you the question" my sight were transfer who the emcee was talking about. She is so gorgeous and elegant in her white fitted long gown. It sparkling with her accessories. Match it with his white teeth with her red lipstick and chinky eyes. Shes really a model afterall
"Good Evening Ms. Fortalejo ahm" she greeted but somehow hesitated as she read something in her desk while holding her mic and keeping looking at her back but still managed to continue.
"Likewise Ms. Qien" Oh jeez! Is my grammar okay? My eyes were once again diverted towards the food stall where I first saw them tonight. They were gone, maybe they already left and enjoyed the night. Happily
"Okay, so the question will be is. If you are given a chance to give up on something you really treasure. What is it and why?" Apparently, im shock because of the question. As if it was really meant for me to answer. People were looking and waiting for my answer. I cant stutter nor look so nervous, its really embarrassing. I slowly put closely my mouth across the microphone.
"Love" I slowly answered. Ms. Qien smiled and once looked again something on her desk as if she was rating or writing something about me. They were all waiting for my explanation about the subject that I said.
"Because, love is hurting me physically, mentally and emotionally. I am now crying night by night even day by day just because of worthless person. Love is crushing me even thou I treasure it the most. It can make me forget to love myself. I wish I could give up on love that easily" I let my breathe out as I finish my sentence and answer. I walked back slowly to the main stage, I need to prevent my tears from falling. While im on my way back to the main stage. Sniper was called by the emcee that's why he walked to the other side of the stage.
"You can only protect something you really treasure the most. What is it and why?" one of the judges asked.
"I wish I could protect the girls heart and guard her feelings all the time" I looked at him and he was pointing at me. And now all of the people's eyes were on me. Oh my. This is much embarrassing than I thought. I just stood up nicely and smiled at them.
"Ms. Fortalejo. You can now make your way down" one of the event organizer said but I insisted. I want to hear his explanation. I just ignored what she said and remain standing, waiting for Sniper's answer.
"Its torn and pulverize. Shes a diamond to be cherished not a stone to be thrown anywhere. And theres mo more reason to each anyone of the people here to hurt her" Sniper walked towards me and assisted me as we both went down the stage. He smiled at me after that.
"So, whats your decision?" he is waiting for my answer, I just looked outside and stared at the stars for a while before giving him a smile.
"You know how fragile am i" he smiled as well and fixing some of the strands of my hair that is falling out of place. I smiled and he laughed. He always stands as my boy bestfriend and he even know how I cannot mark my words.
"AND FOR THE MS.CCC 2020 is…" im just anticipating. I made into the top 2 and now im waiting for the result. No matter what the result will be. I will always be glad and happy. Im holding my opponent's hand softly and she just smiled at me. I did the same for her.
"Xavrina Alexiahiana Fortalejo of St. Therese" im shock because of the result. I didn't even expect to win. People and audiences were screaming and cheering in joy especially my brothers and my 2 pretty best friend. I smiled. The school coordinator and admins slowly walked beside me. They gave me the trophy, the sash and the certificate. The school dean already volountered himself to put my crown. I also won as the best in talent and best in long gown that's why sash and certificate where sticking in my body. They pointed the camera and I just smiled. My 2 pretty best friend just screamed in happiness. I already went to the backstage. The next person to be announced is the Mr. CCC. I just smiled. Sniper made it to the top 2. And now he is standing firmly along with his opponent. Even me, is getting nervous. I glance at my mom, and I just chuckled when I saw her more nervous than Sniper. Well, that's my supportive mom after all.
"Mr.CCC 2020 is… Sniper Claiden Dela Cruz" Girls were now screaming and fluttering. I just laughed when I heard my mom screamed on the top of her lungs, beating the girls out there. So, im now doubting if Sniper is the real Fortalejo or me. I just walked forward, beside Sniper. Certificates, Sash and Trophy were given to him. Im really proud of him. He really almost got all of the titles and prizes. BEST IN CASUAL WEAR, BEST IN TALENT AND BEST IN SPORTS WEAR. Well, he's my partner. We have the great chemistry. We smiled as the camera shutters and flash invaded.
He held my waist and smiled. Take note, he is now wearing his normal smile not his weird smile. I kinda blushed when he held my waist. And I sigh in triumph as the competition finishes, Halloween break is on the way! Even thou its just 1 week and 4 days. Im still happy about that. Im also excited as well to visit my grandfather's grave in the cemetery. After the announcing of winner, I immediately went down, My best friend and family was there waiting for me and Sniper's family as well. I just smiled.
"That's my sissy which im talking about" My girl Bianxi said in her sassy tone but still there's loudness on it. I kissed my brothers and especially my mom. She was the happiest, as if she was the winner.
"Oh my! You really inherited my beauty and talent" Vina said and I just looked at her with sarcasm. Does she really even know what she was saying? Even thou my night is unexplainable and sorrow. These people can still make me laugh and happy.
They were busy talking about something, I just continued fixing my things and bags when I noticed that someone is looking at me attentively. And that made my head turn to look for someone but there's no one but instead a guy is walking in front of me holding a bouquet of roses.
"Maám Xavrina?" he is looking at me while holding a clipboard with some papers on it. I just nodded and slowly approached him. The flowers is really beautiful and fragrant. I just smiled and signed the delivery boy's paper on his clipboard. I smelled the flowers and it was so fragrant. The boy left. Who gave this to me, I was about to call the boy again but he left for good. I was about to ask who gave this to me but I failed.
"Mrs. Fortalejo. Don't mind her, its from her boyfies!" I was about to chase Vina when I realize the bouquet is too precious. I might ruined it if I run. I just gave her a fist and continued fixing my things.
