Even as she could see the worry and distress he went thru in the past days because of her in his eyes and on his face with those worry line and dark circles with a jaw full of tiny 10 o clock shadow; he surely was composing himself pretty well and not going bullocks or bombarding her with a million questions as she thought he would.
"Come on, let's get you warmed up with some food first. It's cold and you must be hungry like you always are when you get back from college." He talked walking thru the hallway leading her towards the kitchen at the back of the house.
"How did you know I am coming back from college?" Alaina asked confusingly since she's been gone without a trace since Saturday night.
He turned to look at her once they were in the kitchen, "I guessed. You are dressed up somewhat like you do for college and this is the usual time you get back home from there, so I assumed?" he shrugged before going to the counter.
