"It's- It's alright, I'm ok now…" Alaina decided to let it go and brushed it off with a shake of her and asked, "When did you get here?"
"Oh just now," Nora informed with a smile.
"Oh okay, well Jake's not home, yet." She smiled apologetically. "Wait was that you on the front door few minutes ago?
"It's alright I know he's not home yet, I just came to see you, Alaina." Nora spoke smiling at her. She stared at her unblinkingly and smiled animatedly towards her which made Alaina feel like there was something odd about Nora's behavior tonight but she couldn't put a finger on it.
It was already awkward enough that she came to stand in front of her that way without saying a word to her and the most peculiar part was Alaina didn't even hear her coming at all. Who can walk so silently on wooden flooring? Not even a single creak?
