She heard him scoff and shake his head slightly before she heard him speak, "It's a very simpleton thing to have a one tracked mind, Gabrielle. I don't know about you, but I hardly ever do anything that isn't for my own self, let alone do things like dressing up for a girlfriend. Tell me, did you get all dolled up only because your boyfriend would like it?" he questioned her with keeping an emphasis on the word boyfriend as if he meant something by it.
"Of course, not. He didn't ask me to do anything; I dressed up because I wanted to, because I liked it." Alaina replied to his question, somewhere among his words, forgetting that he just called her a simpleton.
