Ryker wandered around, clearing his head. Well.... tried to. He saw those who were at the fire pit and let out a small sigh. Fixing his posture, and his expression going neutral, Ryker walked over and took a seat. He didn't say anything, he just looked at the fire, biting the inside of his lip.
DJ looked over at Ryker and took a deep breath, turning and watching Caleb walk away. He bit the inside of his left cheek, bouncing his foot lightly before turning to look at the ground. Sexual tension has been successfully created.
The tension was... undeniable.
Ryker shifted a little and took a deep breath. "I apologize for the way I acted. I shouldn't have been like that towards you and I shouldn't have just walked away." Ryker said, his tone soft, breaking a little at the end. "That was not how to properly end a conversation."
DJ looked up at him and paused, staring at him from where he was sitting. Nodding slightly, he looked back down at his hands."...I mean, I get it." He laughed softly, biting his lip awkwardly. "You were frustrated because I wouldn't admit what we both knew... and..." he inhaled sharply and scrunched his face up a bit.
"...I was just, afraid to do just that..." he laughed awkwardly."...and... I'm, sorry for lying, and... saying what I did..."
Ryker slowly looked up from the fire at DJ, taking a moment to just kinda... admire him. He couldn't help but love DJ's glow. There was this aura around him that just made Ryker have butterflies... though he wouldn't say that. That feeling had come around every single time that they interacted and saw each other after that night. "I accept your apology DJ." Ryker said softly, a small smile growing on his face.
"I just don't want you to think that my opinion of you comes from that night, because I can promise you that isn't the case." He continued."And I just want to say-"
"-Hey babe!" Ryker was cut off by a female voice.
He looked over towards where it had come from, only to be greeted by her lips on his as she took a hold of Ryker's wrist, a small click happened.
ehhh.. ewww.
This caused Ryker's eyes to widen. He then attempted to try and pull away, not kissing her back.
She didn't seem phased by his reaction as she pulled away as well, letting go of his wrist. A tight bracelet was now resting where her hand had been.
"What the hell Emily?!" Ryker raised his voice at her. "You can't just-"
"-and who is this?" Emily cut Ryker off again, looking towards DJ with a smile. She knew what she had done.
DJ raised an eyebrow, waiting for Ryker to finish his sentence. What did he want to say? And then... Yikes. DJ's eyes widened as she watched Emily walk over and, well... yeah. That stung a bit. A lot a bit.
He opened his mouth to speak, then cleared his throat and took a deep breath as he figured out what to say. His expression going unreadable, he stood. "Nobody. At least, nobody important." He replied flatly, looking to Ryker before looking back to Emily and crossing his arms. "Who are you?"
Ryker's heart dropped as DJ looked at him like that. "DJ-"
"-Ryker hasn't told you about me? How rude of him." Emily said, narrowing her eyes at Ryker before looking back over at DJ, her expression returning normal as she smiled. "My name is Emily and I am Ryker's girlfriend." She said cheerfully.
Ryker's eyes widened and he looked at DJ, his eyes searching his face, desperately trying to explain but he couldn't get words out without Emily interrupting him every single time he said something to explain himself.
His jaw set and he inhaled sharply, not even looking at Ryker as a sarcastic smile grew on his face. "Lovely. You two look very... happy, together." He cleared his throat, then started walking away.
Ryker's eyes widened a little more as DJ walked away, taking a few steps towards where he was going. "Wait... DJ let me exp-"
Emily grabbed Ryker's wrist and stopped him, spinning him to face her. "-would you just shut your big mouth already you idiot." She snapped.
Ryker narrowed his eyes at her, then looked back towards where DJ went, and he was already gone. He took a deep breath and glared at Emily again, pulling his hand away. "That wasn't a part of the deal!" Ryker shouted, pointing his finger at her.
Emily just tilted her head, teasingly widening her eyes, placing a hand on her chest. "Oh! I'm sorry... there was no way I would have known that doing something like that could possibly ruin your social life." She mocked.
Ryker licked his teeth in annoyance, folding his arms. "I'm trying to mend my past back together because of some stupid deal I made with you to put a false hope in my head. If you plan on still trying to get him Emily, you're not going to succeed. Chase is married now."
"Don't think that I didn't know about your intentions. We both wanted him." Emily said flatly. "And I know that you now don't... which makes me the winner. I also owe you for lying to me.. so that little gesture there was only the beginning to what I can do to ruin your life. Don't test me honey."
Ryker rolled his eyes. "I'm not helping you." He scoffed.
"Fine. Have it your way." Emily shrugged, then walked off the other way.
Ryker watched her leave, glaring. Once she was gone, he sighed in frustration, looking down at the ground. This was all kinds of messed up. The deal was to try and make Chase jealous. Turns out that was both of their plans. However, times have changed and Ryker had moved on.
Besides.... he had caused more damage to him than he should have, and there wasn't anything he could do to take back what had happened. He thought about shadow traveling away, make things right. However, there was a beep coming from the bracelet that was now around his wrist.
"Oh you have got to be kidding me..." Ryker shook his head, taking a deep breath. He started walking off. Ryker was determined to make things right. No matter what it took.
