As Newt and Chyrsaor clashed, Jack couldn't help but watch on in awe.
Newt was at the disadvantage, wielding the bigger weapon, but he was holding off pretty fine. He could tell Newt had let Poseidon's raw power flood into his body. Every hit Chrysaor took was enough to knock him off his feet, possibly flying clear of Asphodel. But the golden-tusked boy was easily parrying the trident swings Newt brought down on him.
Jack would have rushed in to help, after all a two versus one scenario would have put Chrysaor at an easy disadvantage. It would have been better for Jack because he held the lighter and deadlier weapon in his hand. Sadly, it was wasted on him. Unlike the others, he couldn't fuse his mind with Zeus. He may have been the host, but he didn't feel he was anything like the god.
