It was raining heavily when violet received an anonymous call.Soon she took her jacket put on her heels and left home.Adam yelled not to leave.violet just turned back,gave a strange sigh which was an enough reply for Adam. He went to kitchen ,poured a cup of hot tea from kettle ,moved to balcony. still raining but rain_ its beauty,smell and cold touch made Adam to travel back to his memories.
Years and years back...it was raining when he first met his soulmate.Adam ran to the verandah of chapel when rain poured hard to almost wet him and there he came to notice a cute little girl in wet yellow dress,short hair braided two sides , shivering and has closed her eyes with left hand and right hand holding white lillies. Adam looked at her without even blinking his eyes for some while and the next thunderstorm made him notice that the cute girl was very afraid of thunders. He smiled shook his head and neared that little girl . he murmured to her ears ," hey , cute lady look the storm is over".she slowly opened her eyes which was so lovely . Those blue eyes with long lashes stared at Adam . who are you- she asked. Adam william- he replied. Am new here.Our family shifted to this place 3 days back. I was just exploring new short routes to my home and what about your name cute lady.. She replied _ am Ann.... Ann violet... with a giggle he asked- what violet?? doesn't that seem strange... it's a color....y such a name??
with furious face she replied that violet is the name of a color...then why couldn't it be name for a beautiful girl.. oh beautiful girl?? whom?? you?? - he asked. yeah ...of course ....you called me gorgeous few mins back..right?? she asked. he smiled and replied ....oh come on...I was just joking...you seem to be like a pumpkin..
her blue lovely eyes widened and she yelled you idiot , how dare you called me a pumpkin...stay away from me...the next moment a heavy lightning and thunder trashed ground and with fear she hugged him tightly.she was only upto his chest.her hands cuddlled around his waist.soon she unwind her hands and asked him sorry. with a glimpse of smile she lifted her head turned around and ran to the garden. he loudly asked her ,- gorgeous your address please??
she smiled and left those white fragrant lillies on the pavement and ran away....Adam walked through the pavement picked those lillies ...it smelled so sweet.....he returned back home.....entered the living room..... there his mom was arranging living area.Adam gave those lillies to mom and moved to his room.His mom was asking something but nothing heard to his ears and mind.His thought was full of a cute stout girl in charming yellow wet dress...
Down the grassland , there was a glassy cute house amidst garden of white lillies.Ann ran down the garden to her home.she could hear the melody " nothing gonna change ma love for u g....." ...she slowly opened the glass door.entered home.Went directly to kitchen and saw her grandma singing with the record.she suddenly cuddled her from back and threatened her.grandma looked and saw her chubby grand daughter wet and shivering.she suddenly took her to room and gave her blanket to get warm.she asked" Anna .....why do you still play in rain...have you offered lillies to your mom's grave??you have grown up my princess...still playing like a 2 year old...saying this grandma started mourning like a child.your mom left us when you where just 2 year old my child.you didnt even knew that your mom laid dead and you asked her to wake up from sleeping.you where so innocent and God was so blind to see the innocence of that child.Anna my princess your dad suffered a lot to raise a motherless child.so always stand with him at any circumstance.dont leave him alone.after my demise he has only you.
Ann dropped her blanket and laid on her Granny's lap...granny you won't leave us.you will live for another 50 yrs.
granny:" let it be...come honey.i have made coffee for you.come n have some."
Ann" granny when will paapa return.am missing him so badly .why is he so busy.He even forgot the death anniversary of mom.
No dear....never.i won't forget you and never ever your mommy.. said her paapa why entering into the room.i went directly to your mom's grave...why honey..why didn't you go and meet her today?? her grave feels deserted and dull without your white lillies...
granny:"oh God...Ann...then where are those flowers which you took for your mom??
Ann desperatedly looked at James:"paapa...am sorry.i took those lillies with me.but I couldn't meet maama...it was raining heavily with thunders..
so I waited for the storm to subside.But it was on vain.so I returned back home.sorry paapa.
James:" never mind honey.your mom knew you well.she knew that her lil pumpkin is afraid of thunders.so she won't be sad.But yet I missed those white lillies there.So get ready dear.i will take you there.let her grave be pleasant and complete with those white lillies.
Ann:"k...fine paapa. I will be back in a minute. let's take granny too with us."
granny:" of course.....am coming"
They reached the graveyard of Elizabeth James .Ann assembled the flowers over the grave and started to pray.soon they heard the sobbring of granny.james cuddled his towards his side and took her away.. when they left Ann said to her mom,:" maama sorry for not bringing those flowers...you knew me .today I was so afraid.It was he who helped me get out of that fear..that's why I offered those flowers to him..pardon me maama.i am a girl.i wished you be alive here with me so that I could share many things with you .I miss you very much maama.,"
Ann turned and walked towards the car .while walking she wiped off tears from her eyes.
