Chapter 1 - Love has no end

Victoria and Franco have been married for a while now. They love each other with all of their hearts and their marriage is admired by many. They lived at the country side, with a large vast of land which Franco uses for his farming purposes. Franco comes from a rich family. His father is a known cattle rearer in the area. He has a huge mansion at the country side where Franco grew up. All he knows is the country side. The fresh grass and the beautiful surrounding of the countryside is all he knows.

His father does not own cattle, he owns horses, goats, sheep, poultry, and rabbits. Apart from that, he owns the biggest cotton plantation in the whole region. He is the biggest producer of cotton in the whole region and every cotton factory comes to him to get cotton from him. When Melvin, Franco's father was a young man, he was not this rich. In fact, he did not even come from a well to do family. His parents were local farmers who worked on the farmlands of others to get food to eat. Life was difficult for them until, Melvin decided to start growing cotton at their back yard.

At first, it looked like it would not yield anything, especially since his father died and he had to take care of his fragile mother alone. But, with much determination, Melvin managed to work on his little farm day and night, even though he was working on other farms as well. After years of working hard and having failures along the way, his work yielded enough results. His cotton began to mature and grow. And any one who saw his work, were surprised.

Once he the plants had fully matured, he had his first yield. He got a bag of pure cotton which he sold to another farmer who was one of the wealthiest farmers then. He was impressed with Melvin's work, and was even surprised that the young man had been able to provide him quality cotton. He then decided to lend a piece of his land to Melvin to use for a larger scale cotton farm.

Melvin used the opportunity given to him wisely, and even started rearing poultry alongside. Just like the first one, the next ones yielded good results as well. Soon, the young man was making enough money to take care of himself. He bought himself a small house where he moved in with his then sick mother who later died from her illness. Her death, almost made him fall into a dark place, but his friend, Karen, who later became Franco's mother helped him out. She was the daughter of the farmer who gave Melvin the land to work on.

Melvin was very grateful to Karen and her family. So, he married her and they had a son. His hardwork paid off, hence, the quantitative number of properties he has now. Franco never suffered in his life like Melvin did. But, he never allowed the riches get into his head either. He loved going to the farms with his father. And by so doing, he picked up a lot of things about farming from him.

During one visit to the cotton plantation, Franco met a beautiful young woman. She was wearing a dress and a pair of brown boots. She was helping the other workers to cultivate the cotton. She was so busy working at that time that she did not notice the smitten eyes of the young master watching her closely. Her black hair, had been held up in a ponytail showing off her beautiful pale skin. She had the most beautiful hazel eyes Franco had ever seen. Her lips were small and her nose fitted perfectly on her beautiful round face.

Franco had seen her countless times. But, had not had the courage to approach her and even talk to her. As the son of the owner of the plantation, one would think Franco would have any woman he so desired. But, he was not like the children of rich owners. He was different. And he loved being different. He has always been shy, caring and very kind to the peasant farmers who worked on his father's plantation. And because he easily got embarrassed, he never could approach any girl he really liked.

That day though, was different. Franco did not realise when it happened, but the girl was suddenly looking straight at his direction and smiling at him. He just sat on the back of his favorite horse and smiled back. He then decided to mount off the horse and speak to the girl who he later learned was called Victoria. Victoria had already caught him staring at her but pretended she had not even seen him. She actually always noticed him staring, and had always wished he would make his move. But she always became disappointed. She had learnt not to get her hopes up when it came to the young master.

Little did she know, he would actually approach her and make her his wife. Franco's parents never objected to the relationship, even though Victoria was the daughter of a peasant farmer. Karen loved and adored her till her life was finally claimed by the brain cancer which bothered her for months. Melvin was in full support, and even gave Victoria away on her wedding day.

The rich and mighty in the society did not understand why Melvin allowed his only son to get married to a commoner. But he did not care. He wanted his son's happiness. And if that happiness lied with Victoria, then so be it.

Franco had education and class which Victoria did not have. So in an effort to make his wife comfortable around others, he hired teachers who taught Victoria a lot of things she did not know. She was quite a student because she was able to grasp everything she was taught in a short while making Franco's love for her to grow. She became the lady of the house who was loved by all.

There was lots of love in the house. But, this love birds lacked something which they had been looking to have for so many years. A child. They wanted a child to complete their family. They tried everything and Victoria started becoming desperate. Her husband, never left her side. When she was down and unhappy, he would cuddle up with her and comfort her. He showed her that, he truly loved her. And that his love, had no end.
