Intro
Goddess Clouds, clouds of magical essence. They are an enigma. It is hard to say how, why, or where they came from, but they bless the land with Karma, a precious resource that can be manipulated using tools. Magic tools use Karma to do all manner of things.
Cloud readers are rare individuals with no pigmentation in the eyes, or hair. They have the ability to speak to the cloud goddesses. They only make up less than one percent of the human population, and even less in the beast-man population. Cloud readers are born with unique magical abilities given to them to protect the knowledge they obtain. These are called birth traits. Everytime they speak with the goddesses those abilities become stronger, and some attain gifts from the goddesses. Though it is rare.
Prologue
Izumi
Izumi Solariss, first prince of the kingdom of the sun. A very powerful cloud reader for his age being eleven. He was born with the power to shape shift. His three triplet younger brothers who were nine. Who always fought playfully over who deserved the throne, Izumi being the nice older brother always let them win. Izumi has long white hair, and white eyes. His features were very feminine, and he loved wearing women's fashion. People often mistook him as a young girl.
Izumi's story starts in the sun kingdom, shopping no less, in the upper levels of the kingdom.
Izumi: By the clouds! They have the Tatiana Smith series, Oran.
Izumi turned to a tall handsome fellow with a hefty set of armor. He had blonde hair, looked very princely, and strapped to his back a giant warhammer, this was Oran.
Oran: Prince Izumi! It is unbecoming of a prince to show such an interest in women's clothing.
Izumi's face becomes flustered.
Izumi: ORAN! How many times do I have to tell you to call me princess?
The volume of his voice called attention from the nearby pedestrians.
Oran: I'm not calling you that. Your father would have me court-martialed.
Izumi became enraged, jumping on Oran's shoulders, and biting his head like an angry toddler.
Suddenly a loud explosion could be heard coming from the castle district.
Oran: WHAT WAS THAT!?
Izumi: WHAT WAS THAT!!?
They yelled simultaneously as they began to make haste toward the castle district.
Izumi's body transforms into an animal living in the areas near the sun kingdom. This creature has a long, and slender doglike body with a shiny blue coat. It has a long horn on its head that generates electricity which it pushes through its muscles to move at speeds of up to one hundred kilometers per hour. They call these creatures Zap-hounds.
Izumi in his new form made it to the castle district in no time, jumping from roof to roof, to avoid the daily rush. Izumi arrived, the castle was in flames.
Izumi: NOO!
Izumi said, rushing straight into the inferno.
Oran: IZUMI NO!
Izumi, ignored Oran. Blinded with rage Izumi ran upstairs to where his family's rooms are. The first room where his brothers slept was empty.
Izumi: Crap where are they?
After searching every room he fails to locate his brothers. At this point the flames were unbearable, and the building started to become fragile. When he entered the dining hall what he saw sent chills through his body. He started to sink into a state of shock. Unable to move, or even speak. Izumi stood frozen. His mother, and two brothers were pinned to the wall by spears, swords like bloody pincushions, and a dagger was driven through one of the brother's eyes pinning his head to the wall. Organs were hanging from his mother's torso, bubbling, and boiling like magma. They were all missing body parts, and they were burned to the point where if it wasn't for the jewelry that they were wearing he wouldn't have even known who they were.
Izumi: Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!
Izumi screamed into the flames, that were roaring louder than his voice could ever be.
Oran: Izumi!!!
Oran burst through the wall with his giant hammer. Oran gazed at the sight, and shuttered for a moment, but quickly regained composure, snatching Izumi up from the ground, and fleeing the castle.
Izumi: Noooo, take me back.
Izumi thrashed in Orans arms, clawing at his neck ripping off small amounts of flesh. Izumi's cries were so loud you could hear the tissue in his throat tearing.
Izumi passes out from exhaustion. Oran carries Izumi away from the castle.
Oran: I'm sorry Izumi, I know it's hard.
Oran bites his lip in frustration.
A few hours later Izumi awakens in Oran's home in the middle levels of the kingdom.
Oran: You should rest longer. We're leaving the kingdom at nightfall.
Izumi stares at the ceiling blankly.
Oran: This world is about to feel great change. I've received word from the king. He sent his layla hawk. His message says king Xanthern of the Rhyne kingdom has said some worrying thing's during the table of kings.
Izumi: Doesn't matter…
Oran: I know what you've seen was rough, but you must be strong as this kingdom's prince. Whoever did this is obviously trying to kill the royal family. Thank goodness your youngest brother Leeloo's body wasn't found, so he may still be alive.
Izumi's face lightens up.
Izumi: I wish to speak with a cloud goddess. They might help me find my brother.
Oran: We can travel to beast country. They will welcome you, because they have great respect for those loved by the clouds. There is said to be a goddess there.
Oran packs up, Izumi puts a hood on to somewhat conceal his identity.
After leaving the kingdom they headed to beast country. Halfway there they stopped to rest.
Oran: It's getting dark, we will set up camp for the night.
Izumi: Okay I'm going to pee.
Oran: be careful!
Izumi: Okay.
Izumi comes to a nearby stream. After relieving himself he looked up across the river, and there stood Leeloo.
Izumi froze
Izumi: Leeloo ?
Izumi said, reaching out his hand.
Leeloo: I found you.
Leeloo snap's his fingers.
Izumi feels a sharp pain in his side.
Izumi: Lee….lo..o
Izumi collapses.
When Izumi awakens he is strapped down, and gagged. He's completely naked.
A man walks in holding a syringe.
Mysterious man: You seem concerned. Don't be, your body is mine now. You are my newest canvas. I can't wait to see you become my masterpiece. Haha
He said, wielding a devilish grin. The man stabs the syringe into Izumi. Causing him to shape shift rapidly.
Izumi: Ahhhhhh….. Stop… … stop it hurts so bad.
Izumi becomes unconscious from the pain. after convulsing uncontrollably.
Izumi wakes up periodically to be force fed raw meat, and vegetables. He chokes them down with muddy water, before getting the syringe, and passing out again.
Mysterious man: His birth trait went crazy with the elixir. I don't know what went wrong. We did as my research suggested, and he's received the injection every day for the past two years. His body transformed into something akin to a beast-man, but it's a failure. Throw him out with the other trash.
When he awakened again he was in a lavish bed of silk. Izumi thought he might be dreaming.
Unknown female voice: You're lucky to be alive. Get more rest.
Izumi sees a face so beautiful, and kind. Warmth radiated from this women's very soul. Her garb befitting royalty.
The female speaking turned out to be queen Lilith of the Flora kingdom. She explained what had happened to Izumi, and what had happened to the world. She told Izumi he could stay there if he wanted. Izumi stayed in bed for four months.
Kai
Kai Wukong, only son of chieftain Konga Wukong. Unlike his father he wasn't gifted with the abilities of a cloud reader, but as his father's heir he needed to have strength, and he was set on being the greatest warrior in his nation. He was a tall muscular gorilla-man who stood tall like a giant, had brown fur, and a menacing face. His clothes consisted of a fur loincloth, fur boots, and leather bracers.
In beast country, otherwise known as the mighty tribal nation of Fauna. Kai is participating in a training course made for the warriors of his land. This particular course is used as a graduation ceremony, it is a performance, and a show of skill for the elders of his village. This graduation is proof that he has come of age as a warrior. The course consisted of a one hundred yard flat field. There were fifty, or so ten foot wooden pillars firmly placed evenly across the field. Outside the field on opposite sides, are large stands for an audience.
On this course he is fighting against another graduate, a wolfman by the name Ragnar. A tall man with cunning that is as sharp as his fangs.
Commentator Jin: I'm Jin, The rules of the battle consist of fighting atop the wooden pillars with bo staffs in hand. The first one to fall off, and touch the ground loses.
Commentator Kamga: I'm Kamga, and can't imagine either of them falling off without a fight.
Commentator Jin: Well that is the idea Kamga… in this fight i don't think we will be disappointed.
Commentator Kamga: And.... Begin.
Both warrior's dart at each other with enough force to knock over the pillars below their feet. The audience could hear their weapons clash with each attack.
The audience applauds.
Commentator Kamga: Welll this is an explosive start. The graduates are moving at such speeds, even I can't see them.
Commentator Jin: These two are the best in their class so great power, and speed are a given.
Kai: Huff…. He is swift as expected of a wolf.
I have to catch him off guard.
Kai thought to himself while being vigilant of his surroundings.
Ragnar blasts off toward Kai. Kai thinking quickly drops below the pillars jamming his staff into the ground propelling his body back up with great force. Kai pivots his body, throwing his leg against Ragnar's ribs.
Kai: Raaa
Kai yelled, kicking him across the pillars.
Ragnar lands on the ground kicking up dust around him.
Commentator Jin: Ohhhh hes out! The future high chieftain wins.
The audience goes wild.
Kai roars.
Later a celebratory banquet was held in the graduates honor. There were exotic foods, and dancers, guests from other nations. The elders, and guests had reserved seats at a large table along with all thirty graduates.
Konga: I, high chieftain Wukong, am more than proud of our graduates, but even more I am proud of the parents in our tribe for breeding such splendid warriors. Last but not least I am proud to have such a fearless, and determined offspring. I look forward to your achievements in the military Kai.
The banquet went on with merry, and with the liveliness of wild animals respectively.
The next day Kai enters his father's chambers.
Konga: Ahh offspring. What brings you to me so early?
Kai clears his throat
Kai: Ehm ehm. Sorry father, but I have a selfish request.
Konga's face gives a worried, but curious expression.
Konga: Okay let me hear your request.
Kai: I would like to opt out of military duties.
Konga: Opt out? This isn't a position you can just abandon. What could possibly be going through your head? you coward!
Konga said, losing his temper.
Kai: There's something I must do as the future high chieftain.
Konga's face lightened curiously.
Konga: I can see you're not going to waver. Can I ask why you have such a selfish request?
Kai: As you know I am the first heir to not have a birth trait nor can i speak with the clouds. I see this as my weakness, my shame, and my reason to grow strong. My wish is to travel the world, learn all manner of battle from the masters of this world, and make the world's strength ours.
Konga pauses in astonishment.
Konga: Are you sure this is what you wish?
Kai puts his fist to his chest.
Kai: It is what i must do.
Konga sighs.
Konga: I will give you forty years No longer. Is that clear? If you come back having learned nothing I will banish you from this nation.
Kai: I understand.
Kai set out on his journey after having one last dinner with the chieftain, and as he left his father gave him a gift.
Kai: What's this father?
He said, holding a blue sphere.
Konga: It is a magical storage device.
It can hold many items, and since you will be learning "all fighting styles" it can hold your weapons. Consider this parting gift.
Konga hugs Kai.
Kai: Thank you
Kai leaves the forest.
Lafang
Lafang Phoenix 3rd Prince of the Flora kingdom. A short lad with dark skin, white dreadlocked hair, and white eyes. He has never left the castle due to an overprotective mother.
In the high tower on the west end of Phoenix castle.
Lafang: This book is boring!
Lafang said, crunching on a salty bread snack.
Lafang: I'll see what else is in the library.
Lafang stood up from his chair, and threw the book out the window of the tower. In the library Lafang is perusing through the books on the bookshelf. Suddenly from the otherside of the room he heard a few books hit the ground.
Unknown voice: Ooowwey …. Why are books so big!
Lafang: HELLO, … I don't know who else would be here. The only people allowed in this library are the royal family.
Lafang peaks his head around the bookshelf. He sees a girl with bunny ears, long white hair, a white trail of fur leading from the nape of the neck down to a furry tail, and the face of an angel. She was only three feet tall, and resembled a beast-woman.
Lafang: Hey what are you doing here? Are you a beast-woman?
Izumi: Who are you calling beast-woman you white headed freak! Im human!
Lafang: FREAK? You're the freak, and your hair is also white.
Izumi: How dare you!
Izumi jumped on Lafang's head, and started to pull his hair yelling.
Izumi: IM HUMAN, IM HUMAN!
Over and over.
Twenty minutes later
Lafang: Who are you anyway?
Izumi: I'm Izumi Solariss from the kingdom of the sun.
Lafang: Why are you here hundreds of miles from home?
Izumi sighs, and looks down. After a short moment he looked up with a cute face.
Izumi: I came for you sexy.
Lafang grabs Izumi's face, and squeezes
Izumi: Ow ow ow ow !
Lafang: Shut up! There's no way I would fall for that. Plus I'm not into men!
Lafang's face being red as it was , he had his head turned to attempt to hide his embarrassment.
Izumi: How did you know?
Lafang: Am I wrong?
Lafang stares intensely.
Izumi sighs
Izumi: No…
Izumi, and Lafang take a seat at a nearby table. Lafang rests his head on his wrist.
Lafang: So, why are you here?
Izumi: I used to be a cloud reader haha
Izumi said reluctantly.
Lafang: You're a cloud reader? Me too!
Izumi face palms.
Izumi: No I'm not I used to be! I can't hear the cloud goddesses anymore...
Lafang: YOU'VE HEARD A GODDESS? What do they sound like? Do they speak?
Izumi was startled by Lafang's excitement.
Izumi: It's complicated! Haha
Izumi laughed nervously.
Lafang: you can tell me….
After seeing the look on Lafangs face he started to feel like he could trust him.
Izumi: I'm the prince of the kingdom of the sun. I was taken by the Rhyne kingdom apparently.
Lafang: What would the Rhyne kingdom want with a cloud reader from the Sun kingdom?
Lafang asked in a concerned tone. Izumi pauses with surprise.
Izumi: Lafang have you no idea of the current situation of the world?
Lafang: I haven't been allowed to leave for the last two years, and my mother never tells me anything. I'm so kept in.
Izumi explains…. Two years ago all the kings, and leaders met at the table of kings. The table of kings is an annual meeting of leaders. Everything progressed normally until king Xanthern announced.
Xanthern: I will rule all the kingdoms in the continent of Estergum!
Xanthern smiles wickedly. The other leaders in the room gasped.
Konga: How dare you come to this meeting with such delusions of grandeur!
The sun king: Yes, and what would you have us do with our kingdoms? It's unfathomable!
Xanthern: Keep your kingdoms, but answer to me, and enforce my laws.
Konga: Absolutely not, I will die before I give up my warrior's pride. My people will remain free.
All the other kings began agreeing with the beast leader. After that the Rhyne kingdom
Waited one week before displaying their military might putting other kingdoms into submission. A law banning magic was put in place, and all magical humanoids such as beast-men, demons, and cloud readers were sold as slaves, or experimental subjects for the Rhyne kingdom.
Lafangs face grew pale.
Lafang: Is that why I'm not allowed to leave. If I leave I die, Or become a torture subject?
Izumi: You've had it great! At least you haven't been ripped away from your kingdom, at least you still have your mother, and you weren't forced to shapeshift with magical drug's until you lost your connection with the clouds. I….I..I'm not even human anymore. When I looked in the mirror for the first time, I knew I had gotten smaller, but I looked like a freak. I had rabbit ears, a human face, and torso, paws...
Lafang hangs his head in silence feeling sorry for Izumi. After a moment.
Lafang: I think you're beautiful!
Izumi pauses in awe.
Izumi: What … did you?
Lafang: I mean i'm not into males, but if more men looked like you, it would be hard to say that, and not be lying.
Izumi blushes.
Lafang: How did you get out? …..Of your situation I mean.
Lafang changes the subject, feeling embarrassed about what he had said.
Izumi: Once i lost my powers i was worthless to them so they tied me up, and threw me into a pit of burning corpses. It smelled like death, but then your mother saved me at the brink, and told me I could stay here.
Lafang smiled, and stood up in a hurry.
Lafang: Well since you, and I are stuck here. Let's be friends!
Izumi: Okay.
They spent the next month talking in the library, and Lafang showed Izumi his collection of rare plants. They became fast friends.
Until one night Izumi, and Lafang were sleeping soundly. The moon was glowing like dew from the grass around the castle glowing from its reflection.
Kai who is in the castle at the time learning the broadsword from the kingdom's best swordsmen Hermes valdrowa.
Kai: Raa... raa…. raaa!
He yelled, practicing his sword swings.
Hermes: No no no.
Hermes said, smacking Kai's legs with a wooden sword for having poor stance.
Hermes: Your stance must be as strong as the steel you hold in your grasp. If you can not do this how can your sword live up to its purpose.
Kai: Yes shisho, but it is getting late.
Suddenly a bang came from inside the castle. Kai, and Hermes startled, looked toward the castle. The castle had a young flame coming from a window.
Hermes: That's milady's room!
Kai: The queen?
Hermes: Let's hurry lad!
They hurry toward the castle. Kai being a beast-man moves especially quickly making it there far quicker than Hermes.
Boooom,
Kai does a flying kick through the window. Ignoring the flames Kai rolls across the floor.
Kai: QUEEN PHOENIX! WHERE ARE YOU?
Queen Lilith: SOMEBODY HE..L.P
The queen sounded close, but because of the smoke, and flame Kai's senses were dulled.
As he laid his eyes on her a stranger wearing all black, Darted into the room so fast Kai could barely see them. They took the queen, and left.
Kai fell to his knees stunned.
Hermes walks in.
Hermes: What happened lad?
Kai: I don't know she was here, but as i laid my eyes upon her a stranger in black took her.
Hermes: Damn he must have been fast to pull one over on you especially with your speed. Nevertheless we must act quickly, and find the rest of the royle family. This place will be rubble sooner than later.
Kai: Right!
He said, regaining composure.
Hermes: Kai you save the princes.
Kai nodded as they split up.
Kai moved swiftly around the burning castle.
Kai:PRINCE MAGNIS! PRINCE WOODROW!
Kai shouted, before reaching a room with a grand piano, and there he found Prince magnis's head without a body just sitting on the stool that accompanied the piano, as if to play a sanata of the dead. Kai clinched his teeth angrily before darting off to look for the other prince.
He makes it to the library.
Woodrow: Why are you here?
Kai heard Woodrow say before walking in the door.
Kai sees Woodrow holding a hooded man up by his throat with one hand, and he was holding a broadsword staind with fresh blood in the other hand. As well as two men that lay slain at his feet. Woodrow is a very tall man with long black hair. In fact he was even taller than kai.
Kai: Woodrow I'm glad to see you're alive, but your brother magnis….
Woodrow: I know Kai. I've seen already…. But listen Kai, as Prince of Flora I ask you, save Lafang.
Kai: Who is that woodrow?
Woodrow: My youngest brother he stays in the tower. Why do you think we closed the library in the evenings? He likes it there.
The man dressed in black lashed out startlingly woodrow. Woodrow reflexively stabs him through the side of his head.
Woodrow: Damn.. Well not the last time.
Anyway take him, there is a hideout east of the castle, go there. Hermes , and I will catch up.
Kai: I am confused, but i understand.
Be safe.
Kai ran toward the tower. Passing through the halls that were engulfed in flames, the roof was starting to collapse. Forcing Kai to weave through the falling debris. Suddenly a support beam fell from the ceiling right above Kai's head. Kai reacted quickly, jumping to grab the support beam with both hands. He swung his body around it landing atop the beam in mid air briefly before pushing off at a high speed. The thrust gave enough force to send him busting through a door leading outside.
Kai: That was close.
Kai looked up to see the tower.
Kai: I must be swift!
Kai jumped on to the tower climbing up. He climbs through the window to see a white haired child, and a child that looked like it could be one of his own kind, but strangely smelled human. They lay atop each other with a big book laying beside them. It looked as if they fell asleep reading.
Kai: So this is why I never knew of him. He was a secret because of his abilities. I understand now, Woodrow.
Kai thought to himself.
Kai: PRINCE! please wake up.
Kai shouted, but they were fast asleep.
Kai: Ugh we don't have time for this.
Kai picked both of them up, and jumped out the window.
Lafang woke up from the fall.
Lafang: Who the hell? What are you doing?
Kai: We can talk later, we're going to meet up with Woodrow.
Kai said, sounding out of breath.
Lafang: Woodrow? You must work for my father. Are you a knight?
Kai: I said, later child!
Later on they make it to the hideout. They went in, and sat down on some old stone chairs.
Kai: I've checked for your brother, and hermes. They're not here yet.
Lafang: Tell me what's going on monkey!
Kai: What did you say Human?
Lafang: Mon.. Key.
Kai: DAMN BRAT IM AN APE!
Kai said, feeling insulted by Lafang's rude remark. Kai takes a deep breath.
Kai: Prince, I don't have good news. someone has attacked the castle. Tomorrow it will be a smoldering pile of rubble. Your brother Magnis is dead, and your mother has been kidnapped. There is better news your brother Woodrow is alive, of course it would take an army to take him on. He had slain three attackers by his lonesome.
Lafang's head started to spin causing him to vomit.
Izumi: Lafang! Are you okay?
Lafang: Looks like we have a lot in common after all, eh Izumi.
Izumi covered his mouth with his hand, and teared up after seeing Lafang force a smile through his pain.
Izumi: Stupid how could you smile at a time like this?
Izumi started to really cry.
Lafang: Because I'm just happy i still have a brother, and i still have you!
Izumi: You idiot!
Izumi continued to cry.
A few hours later Woodrow, and Hermes arrived at the hideout holding an injured King Emmett. They lay him down on a bed of hay above the cold stone floor before treating his wounds.
Kai: Is there not a more fitting bed for him?
Woodrow: We built this hideout after Xanthern's actions two years ago, but… we never got around to furnishings. Anyway where's my brother?
Kai: He, and the odd one are sleeping upstairs.
Woodrow: Odd one?
Kai: Yes Izumi I think his name was.
Hermes: You mean the small beast-boy.
Kai: Not quite. He is different from my kind. He smells like a human.
Woodrow: He has an odd past.
Kai: I will take your word for it.
Woodrow: Kai.
Kai: Yes prince?
Woodrow: Would you take my brother, and Izumi to Fauna?
Kai: Yes I can, but it is an odd request?
Woodrow: He will be safe there, and he will have to fight from here on. Make him strong!
Hermes: Your father is a cloud reader, and you are a weapons master. There is much that can be learned from him going with you.
Kai: I understand.
The next day they packed there's bags. The king was still unconscious. Woodrow, and Hermes were standing over a map planning their next move. Kai, Lafang, and Izumi will be heading off soon.
Lafang approaches Woodrow.
Lafang: So how is father?
Woodrow: Well he was stabbed through his torso, and has a slash across his back, but it's not fatal.
Lafang: Where will you go after we head out?
Woodrow: We will stay here until father heals. Then we will head to Hell's Kitchen.
Lafang: Isn't that where the Oni live?
Woodrow: Yes your father, and the demon queen Lucy are old friends so he will be safe there. If possible I would like you to come there as soon as you're strong enough.
Lafang: But why me?
Woodrow: Because you, and chieftain Konga are the only cloud readers left. A cloud reader is the only thing that can fight against the Rhyne kingdoms blessings.
Lafang: What do you mean blessing's?
Woodrow: It's a lot to explain right now meet me when you are as strong as me buddy. I know you don't wanna hear this right now, but I'm glad you're alive!
Woodrow said, smiling as a crying Lafang hugged him.
Kai: Brat! Let's go it's a long journey.
The three princes left. After two months of walking, sleeping on the ground, avoiding people, and monsters. They made it to the forest of Chi.
Lafang: Wow...
Izumi: Kai this is where you live?
Kai: Yes this is my home. You see, Fauna is a collection of hanging villages. Giant glass-like bubbles dangling from enormous trees, connected by vines that are hundreds of meters thick. It's said that they were once gargantuan sized fruits, but that's just an old wives tale. There is even soil, running water, and livestock.
There are a total of 5 large cities, Jasmine city, where the ape-men such as I reside, it is the largest city being 250 km in circumference. Each city is led by a respected individual of each tribe.
Iron-side led by the Wolf tribe's Jarl wrath-heart, Sol led by the Avian leader Mo-tekkä, Leoné led by feline Earl Zanzabar, and Rodanta led by rodent leader Kagra.
There are a hundred, or so small villages. This is what most of the population call home. It has been thirty years since I was last here. Feels joyous to return.
Izumi: Way to give us the rundown.
Kai: Knowledge is strength. Plus this will be your home from now on.
He said, clenching his fist with a prideful look in his eyes, and a slight smirk.
Lafang: Holy crap you're old.
Lafangs said, as if to shoot Kai down.
The veins on Kai's head began to swell.
Kai: You...brat I'm incredibly young for my kind we can live for up to eight hundred years.
After bickering for a moment.
Izumi: I wonder if I could live long? I mean I'm beast-person enough right?
Izumi said, looking optimistic.
Kai: I am curious about you. What are you?
Lafang: Watch it! That's a sensitive question.
Izumi: It's okay. I'll tell him.
Izumi explains.
Kai: I am truly sorry you had to relive that.
Izumi: It's okay….
They arrive at the Fauna palace.
Kai: Stay here I will inform the king of you both, and the situation.
Kai walks off into the palace alone. A few moments later two beast-men approached them, and escorted them into the throne room. There they saw a man that looked like Kai, only bigger, and more distinguished.
Konga: I am chieftain Konga lee I rule this nation of proud warriors. My offspring has told of your troubles, and has asked to let you stay here indefinitely. I wanted to see you myself before I agreed, and I'm curious, Lafang what is your birth trait is?
Lafang: Do you have any plants, or seeds?
Konga: Plants huh?
Konga snaps his fingers. Someone entered the room with a small flower.
Konga: Will this do?
Without saying a word Lafang puts out his hands, palms facing the plant, and takes a deep breath. The plant grows, and grows until the pot around it broke causing the plant to fall over on the floor. This surprised Konga.
Konga: Boy you are more exceptional then i had expected, but you are weak. That ability could do much more than you think i can teach what i know of our abilities given to us by the clouds.
Lafang: You think i can be strong like my brother?
Konga: Stronger! Kai!
Kai looked to his father.
Kai: Yes father?
Konga: You will teach them both to fight, and you will do it at the warriors academy.
Kai: But father, there has never been a human stude…
Konga interrupts.
Konga: I have made my decision.
Kai: Understood chieftain.
The three have a long road ahead. A road filled with peril, adventure, magic, and sadness.
