Chapter 43 - Oakwood High School

"Big brother, where did you buy this food from? This tastes good. " Xiao Meng lifted her head up to look at Si Chen and asked with a small mouthful of food still within her mouth.

"Of course, it still doesn't taste as good as your cooking." Xiao Meng swiftly added.

"Remember the Seafood Restaurant we went to last time? I got it from there." Si Chen replied.

Xiao Meng made a small cry of surprise, "The Seafood Restaurant? But the food there didn't taste as good the last time we ate there."

"Do you like it? I can buy more takeaways from that Seafood Restaurant in the future if you want." Si Chen had a light smile on his face as he said.

"There is no need to. Big brother's cooking is still the best. I was just wondering how the Seafood Restaurant's food can suddenly improve by so much." Xiao Meng shook her head and responded.

"There must be someone really great behind the Seafood Restaurant…" Xiao Meng softly mumbled to herself while thinking.

"I feel the same way too. There must be someone so remarkable who helped the Seafood Restaurant." Si Chen agreed in a languid manner, while inwardly he was chuckling within his heart.

Hehe. Xiao Meng, how could you have known that you were directly praising me? Si Chen thought inwardly.

He was wondering when he should break the news of his career success to her. There were two other Yang siblings beside him, and he was not at ease at revealing something which could potentially harm him, not when their feelings or relationship were not, at the very least, close.

But thinking again, would they ever believe it if a 16 year old was in charge of the booming Seafood Restaurant?

"Xiao Meng, when is your school starting?" Si Chen threw out a question while eating. A while had passed since their holidays, and the new school term seemed to be looming closer.

"5 days from now." Xiao Meng replied, then asked, "Big brother, how about you?"

"We are studying in the same school. What are you talking about?" Si Chen lightly chuckled.

"Do you want to switch to another school?" Si Chen suggested.

The school that they were both studying was called the Oakwood High School. They didn't know how they managed to get an admission place from them, but since they got a letter, they had attended the school ever since.

The Oakwood High School was quite well known within the Hai Wan city, famed for producing numerous successful figures. Its school fees were high, and both of them had managed to get a subsidy after deducting their scholarships.

Si Chen was not that bad in terms of academics, but ever since two years ago, he felt like his brain was stuffed and unable to operate at a normal pace.

His grades fell to a dismal level, his papers constantly showing up with red marks, and his report book was horrendous to look at.

The school had sent him a warning that if he continued his current grades, he would be kicked out from the scholarship program and had to pay the full brunt of the fees.

At that time, he had went sleepless for 3 days in panic, but now, he was even wondering if he should continue his studies.

Unless he directly promoted to a University and took the Business and Finance course, he didn't feel like there was much to learn within the Oakwood High School.

There were also better schools within the Hai Wan city that Si Chen could now afford to send Xiao Meng to, but that is if she wants it.

"Big brother, there is no need for that. I still like Oakwood High School." Xiao Meng shook her head and answered.

"You study in Oakwood High School?" Yang Yun widened his eyes in surprise and interrupted.

How could there ever be such a coincidence? Of course, it was not him who was studying in the school, because he was already a legal adult, but rather his younger sister.

Yang Ran had shifted from schools to schools within the Hai Wan city because she didn't like them, and all the high-end schools were basically all visited by her.

Right now, she had switched up so many schools and had now landed within the Oakwood High School.

"What's the matter, Big brother Yang Yun…?" Xiao Meng asked, and Si Chen, who was at the side and heard term she called him by, instantly felt displeased.

"Xiao Meng, don't call him by the name of Big brother. Just directly call him by his name." Si Chen sternly told Xiao Meng with a serious expression.

Xiao Meng looked towards Si Chen and lightly giggled with a sweet smile on her face, "Hehe. Since big brother wants the term big brother to be only for you, then I will do that."

'That's good." Si Chen's lips rose up to form a warm smile.

This was when Yang Yun began to speak again, "Yang Ran also studies in Oakwood High School right now. It just that she will be changing to another school soon, since she said that she didn't like the environment there."

Si Chen turned towards Yang Ran, but there was not much surprise within his eyes. The way Yang Ran had acted was that of a spoilt little brat, so how could she handle the school environment within Oakwood High School.

Although Oakwood High School was a famous school, it could not compare to the true top-tier schools within the Hai Wan city.

Yang Ran noticed Si Chen's glance and an indescribable glimmer flashed in her eyes.

"Who said that I don't the environment there and want to change?" Yang Ran interrupted, and turned her head to glanced at Yang Yun with a threatening gleam in her eyes.

"I had already said that I will be staying to study within Oakwood High School." Yang Ran continued to say in a firm tone.

"But…but." Yang Yun stuttered.

"Xiao Meng, although we are in different years, but we will still be students in the same school!" Yang Ran turned towards Xiao Meng.

Si Chen looked on with an expression of interest, while Yang Yun was still stammering and wondering how she had suddenly changed by so much.

He had distinctly remembered the vivid and descriptive curses Yang Ran had used to describe the Oakwood High School, so what was this sudden change in attitude.

After they all finished their food, Si Chen went back to his room.

A notification had sounded in his head, notifying him of the completion of his Mission Task 1 – investing in a retail business.

It seemed like Ouyang Xin had already gotten the share transfer document confirmed, so now he was legally the 51% shareholder of Eternal Fashion.

Entering his mind space, he briefly checked through the rewards he was given.
