Chapter 4 - Four

Three days. She had been trapped in this bleak unforgiving room for three days. Countless hours of writhing agony and lust passed within these four walls. The things she had done in a poor attempt to sate that lust building within her would haunt her memories for decades to come.

It was complete and utter humiliation.

Only today had that pulsing between her legs dimmed enough for her to be able to pace her room without collapsing to the cold floor due to the friction of her thighs brushing together. The affliction had been agony, but being trapped in her own body had been far worse. She wanted to scream and rip apart the bedsheets but the yearning had stopped her in her tracks. It was like something completely animal had taken over her mind.

Her mind had been in it's simplest form, with a single objective. Sex.

Lucky for her it all had gone by in such a daze that it only took up a couple of flashes in her mind. Otherwise, she'd have offed herself the moment she came back to her senses.

Death would be better than remembering herself in that state.

She still wanted to run at the first being that walked through those unpassable double doors but for a completely different reason than before. Where she had been begging for relief and seeking any way to achieve it before, now she desperately wanted to escape from this damned room and she was willing to do anything to achieve it.

If only she had her weapons. With a good gun, she'd be out of here and back on her way to the stars just like that.

They had only been visited her a handful of times, most of them being the ship doctor who had delivered trays of food to her side and checked to make sure she was alive. She was happy it was him and not the commander. At least with him, the ache in her belly didn't roar to life as it had with the other.

Only once had he entered the room. Earlier this morning, once her affliction seemed to finally calm, he had appeared in the doorway carrying a full food tray on one arm. Despite having just awoken, she had been watching with her body on full alert despite having passed the fever the night before.

In the male's presence her body didn't seem to want to let it go. With the way he had watched her, eyes roving over her form from afar as she ate in silence, she half expected him to finally make his move on her. The heat may have been gone from her body, but she knew it's scent still lingered. She could tell just by looking him in those almost animal eyes.

Despite her suspicions, he left once she had finished, walking out without even a single word. She wanted to claw his eyes out.

Before now a male, be it of any species, had never made her want to do half the things Burrh inspired in her mind. Men were a dalliance in her world and a dangerous one at that.

This man was no different. One of many, trillions in the galaxy. Even if her lust told her otherwise, it would have to deal with the reality that if she made it out of here alive she'd never see him ever again.

Mostly because he'd be dead.

She sat in silence as she stared at the doors and waiting for someone, anyone to step through so she might be able to grasp her first clues on how to get herself out of this situation. It was a waiting game and one she was far too familiar with. Her figurative rifle sights were on their target, and there was already a bullet in the chamber. All she had to do was wait until the perfect moment to make her escape.

To her luck, her next visitor was not Mr. Sex-Siren, but his two men. The doctor, whom she originally named because of his white coat, looked as bright as ever waltzing in as if he didn't have a care in the world. Upon spotting her in the bed his hands came together in a happy clap, sporting a grin that bared those dangerous fangs all of his kind appeared to bare.

"You're looking far better than last I saw you."

Her only answer was a blank stare. If he knew the cuff at her wrist securing her to the wall was the only thing keeping her from launching herself at them then he might not have smiled quite as brightly at the sight of her.

Unbothered by her lack of response, the doctor turned to gesture the other large alien towards her cuff. "The cuff must be removed, Jupiter."

As the big alien moved to stride towards her, she pulled herself further back on the bed, carefully assessing him as he moved closer. This was one far colder looking than the two others, looking like he would crush her under his heel if she made the wrong move.

There were a million ways she could tackle him to the ground once he slipped her from the cuffs, but it was that very look that stilled her. After all, they may have kept her alive and untouched through the fever but that didn't mean they wouldn't do away with her once she proved to be far too difficult for what she was worth.

For now she would allow him to do away with the cuff and drag her to her feet. He had done it with so little effort that she found herself being mildly impressed.

No wonder they didn't seem concerned about her rampaging through the ship once her bonds were off. With strength like that, weaponless combat was completely out the window. She'd get snapped like a twig if confronted with that amount of strength.

Which was why she wasn't planning on ever going that far with her escape.

As far as she knew, they could think she was a wanderer in the wrong place at the wrong time. Perhaps if she remained non-aggressive and went with whatever they were planning she could trick them into continuing to believe that and let them bring their guard down enough for her to slip out unseen and unheard.

It wasn't the most ideal plan, but something in her skill range. She could kill the pink-eyed one on her own time.

Cautiously, she pulled herself back from Jupiter, standing as firmly against the bed as she could with her most could-do-no-harm look. If she wanted to pull off the innocent act she would have to look as vulnerable as possible, but she still wouldn't allow any of them to get behind her.

The doctor smiled softly, pleased with her reaction. Pacing up to her with a look of contemplation, he wrapped one warm hand around her wrist to place a small watch-like monitor around her wrist.

It was probably another tech band. One of the kinds they slapped on prisoners to monitor their health and location. Either way, she thought little of it. Anything that wasn't lodged in her was easy enough to get off.

Briefly, she wondered just how loaded the commander must be to be able to afford such a large ship while having loose tech just laying around. Probably rich enough that some wife out there was waiting for her insurance money to roll in once Jess made her hubby turn up dead.

For some reason, that thought pissed her off, but she brushed it off as a prick from the band made her start in surprise. The pain went away in an instant, but she was more caught off guard by the thing lighting up with undiscernable symbols that blinked up and flashed away in the blink of an eye.

The language was entirely foreign to her.

Whatever was on the screen was exactly what the alien hoped to see, because his smile grew even brighter. "Your heat cycle is complete, which is very good! No more quarantine for you, human!"

"What are you talking about?" she asked, confused.

He dismissed her question with a single hand, batting it away as if it were an annoying bug. "That is unimportant, human. We have other business to attend to before our Commander grows impatient."

His flippancy with her pissed her off, but she managed to grind the annoyance away between her teeth. The last thing she wanted was to snap the creature's neck and reveal herself to be anything other than the innocent bystander before she could even manage stage one of her escape.

At the very least she knew she wasn't dying of illness, so she was comforted with that for now. Dealing with him could come later.
