Ten minutes later, Jason and seven other young kids were being lectured by a young man, who was a mage from the Pardour Council of Mages, about Mana.
"Okay kids. My name is Stoxius and I'll be your teacher. Now today, I'll be teaching you the basics about Mana and its several characteristics. Now first, who can tell me what Mana fundamentally is?", he asked.
A hand was raised from the back and a voice answered, all attention pointing to the young boy with grey hair and a black outfit, resembling that of the undead.
"Mana is the life source found in every living being on Amberland. It is like our blood, and enables us to perform spells and other superhuman abilities," the young boy replied.
He continued, "There are eight mana types, classified under four groups: the Elementals, the Beta Class, the Gamma Class and the X Class. Each class represents the uniqueness of the abilities well known today. The Elementals being very common; the Beta Class variable; the Gamma Class unique and the X Class very rare."
"Very good, young Damian!" the mage replied in delight. "I'm impressed someone your age has such a great understanding of what may take an ordinary person years to gain knowledge of."
Jason was intrigued about Damian's knowledge, but when he looked at him, he felt something off about the new kid.
"I don't know why, but I sense something dark from this kid. And how does our teacher know him??", Jason wondered then continued to listen to Stoxius.
"Now then, onto the next part of today's lesson." he said and motioned for his sack.
