Jason headed home that evening, with his mother Sabrina still preparing food for the both of them.
"Jason? You're late. I was worried sick about you, you know??, Sabrina said from the kitchen but got no response.
"Anyways, I prepared supper for the both of us, and it's your favorite…," she paused as she was holding plates to set on the dining table when she saw Jason's new figure.
"J-Jason?? Is that you? You've grown so huge now!! And you're taller!!," she said in shock while touching his face and body, examining him.
"Mom, that's enough!! There's no need to touch me like that!! It's me!!," Jason said, embarrassed with the manner Sabrina was examining his new grown body.
"Well, that's good to know!! Anyways, the food is ready so let's eat before it gets cold," she said to Jason and they both went to eat.
A few minutes later, after the meal, Jason was still quiet and Sabrina saw that something was bothering him.
"Sweetheart, are you ok?? You seem worried," Sabrina asked.
Jason looked at her with a feeling of sadness in his eyes and asked, "Tell me, Mom. Are you really my mother?"
"W-What? What made you ask that?," she replied, clearly surprised by the question.
Jason then placed his right arm on the table -bandaged up like he was advised earlier by Esmeralda- and removed the bandages carefully until it showed his red markings, which made Sabrina freeze in fear when she saw them.
"How?? How is that possible?? It can't be!!," Sabrina muttered worryingly, which Jason realized and wrapped up his bandages back onto his arm while saying, "It seems these markings are no new thing to you. So please, Mother, tell me the truth. What are these markings?? Who am I?? Where did I come from??"
She remained silent for a while, and then replied, "Fine, I'll tell you everything. You deserve to know the whole truth."
