Karan wanted to see her one last time but she had already turned around which meant she did not wanted to see him and anything related to him, didn't matter her. With one last look at the back of her head, hoping she would turn around, Karan turned around and left the house, telling his mind that she does not matter to him. It was just an infatuation and she was safe. She was his mission and he completed his mission by keeping her safe when she was with him. He was just overthinking things.
