Chapter 5 - Chapter Four.

Stretching my stuff limbs as I wake I rose up and looked around the empty room. Everything finally set in after I cried all night and let everything sit in silence. I was definitely not used to the silence in this house. Usually if I woke in the morning if I woke Mamma would be in the kitchen clanging pits and the sound of dishes as she prepared our breakfast. The tea kettle would spew at a high pitch when it was finally done.

Everything was quiet except the wind that made the settle house creak. I got out of my bed and stressed for the day still having this site in mind. My mind, being as it is, knows damn well I'm going back through there to figure some things out about the structure and the graves placed there.

I went into the kitchen after placing my socks and boots on. Placing bread in the toaster to toast it as I go to the fridge and grab butter. It pops up after the timer digs. I ready my toast and began to eat. My mind still racing, racing about that place. What did it mean to my Father? Why did it feel so familiar? Walking through the corridor holding the snack I had made myself. I still couldn't help, but solemnly wonder of all the adventures awaiting. Grabbing my camera I head toward the cabinet to walk through carrying through with my plan to venture through from the day before.

Although the passage more lit by the sun than the day passed I still knew the path by the familiar cobblestone. Carrying her camera around as soon as I made it through the entrance my first snapshot immediately was of the gateway to the path in front of her. There the path was engraved into a hill, much like a Viking fortress left behind. Capturing the beauty from the past before. That in the exact moment made her heart flutter.

The graves that belonged to the people who once walked the land before me. Their tears once fell into the soil, their blood shed, their laugh shared on this very ground, and family once lost. Standing before the graves all of sudden I heard the clap of thunder.

I love the rain, but I had to instantly brace myself as I placed my camera in it's ready bag.

Against the cold wind I had stood, the sound of wings fluttering against the wind had come in range of my ears. Such a sound grew so loud the fluttering caused a vibration that had shaken my ear drums vigorously. The sky spread grey above my head, the visible clouds moving slowly. Rain drops began falling slowly against my skin. The wind hit like an icy embrace as it wrapped around me enveloping me in it's frozen hold.

I started to spin playfully as the rain began to fall harder and the sounds of the wings had come closer. I open my eyes to see the blurring shape of birds flying overhead. I stopped spinning and looked around frantically.

In my mind I stood hoping that these birds were just mere birds, and not buzzards. I crossed over the stone wall as quickly as I could and ran as fast as my bare feet could take me.

I tripped over a small sized boulder I had not noticed. I sat on the ground frustrated with my clumsiness. I hear a deep, morbid laughter that sent a chill down my spine as it echoed around me. I got up limping towards the cottage. The laughter grew louder as if it was getting closer and I immediately picked up my pace.

I sigh in relief as I reach the door and slam it behind me as soon as I get inside. I lock it immediately walking towards my room to find some type of warmth. The chill bumps risen from the cold and the fright both completely visible along my small arms. As I sat on my cot I felt the immediate comfort and safety of my cottage. I jumped as a knock began to pound on my wooden door.

The wooden door shook with force from the knock. I slowly rose to peer through the small glass hole in the wooden door. I was met with the sight of a hand with black markings that formed designs and wrapped the skin like tight wire. "Open." A rasped voice growled out I felt a chill run through me and down my spine, only this time it was a warm shiver of familiarity. I felt scared, but still curious to open the door. Deep inside the feeling of something told me it was safe.

I open the door to the most captivating grey eyes of that man. The void in them swallowed me whole. They showed no type, or sign, of emotion. The storm that raged within them questioned me, it's like the moment they saw me they grew darker. I felt as if I had seen them before, the eyes so dark and grey like the storm clouds that rolled and rumbled behind him.

Then it's as if I got a glimpse inside of his soul... It hits me.. It was the guy from the picture.

Everything immediately went black.

.......................................

Waking up to warmth and looking before me to see the fire from the stove started. The door on the stove just sitting there ajar.

I turn my head to see him siting hunched over in the recliner across from me, his black curls dangling drenched in front of his face. His eyes raise up only to meet mine, the color a lighter grey than before. Those eyes still piecing, but in a way that made me feel weak in the knees. He smirks, " I see you've chosen to wake up." he says to me, the bass from his voice making my heart feeling as if it had fluttered. I literally feel as if in this moment I should pinch myself. Gazing him down looking at the markings up close I then realize I had yet to answer the man. " I-I am. Who are you?" I ask " I am Valikov Dimoni." he said in response. " Well, Valikov, why- why were you trying to chase me down?" I ask, he shakes his head " Not you." he stated " I was fighting off the ravens who sought after you because you were in the family resting place. Not a lot of people like trespassers." he finishes . I nod in understanding " So, you were the birds got offended because I was in a human cemetery?" I stated questionably, he chuckles " Something like that." he says.

I just look at him as he looks back down at his nails that I notice are long and kind of tinted black. He gets up and walks over to me towering over me in all his glory. " I suggest for your safety and my best interest that the ruins stay untouched. " he says as he crouches down in front of me his scent, woodland and masculine, instantly surrounding me as if intoxicating me into a pull. ' Why-why am I so enthralled with this man? I literally meet him and its like he's a fucking drug.' My mind instantly pondered.

He raises his hand and pushes my hair out of my face to tuck it behind my ear and I hear a whisper in my ear. I couldn't understand what he said I just know after that I take over and grab him close to me like I knew him, like I missed him. " You have things that are yet to be understood. It's not the time." I hear his voice whisper as my eyes feel heavy with tears. I am still holding him close. I all of a sudden feel cold surround me.

I open my eyes to see the cabin dark, cold and the fire smoking from the fire place as if he had never been there.
