In days gone by, the world was nothing but bursts of energy. It was hot, it was dense and it was expanding. Then at one time these bursts of energy cooled down and fused with each other. These mesh of raw energy created the first living beings that existed. The older generations called them Primus, simply put the 'first'. They were thought to be the most powerful entities that walked the world. By and by, these mystical beings were then called the Gods and Goddesses as they were the ones that created the mountains, the seas, the sky and then the creatures that would inhabit it, though inferior, embodied one or the other traits the Primus had.
In due course, when the world freed themselves from being dependent on the Primus' energy, the so-called Gods mysteriously disappeared one by one and the creatures they created begin to harness bits of the powers they had.
The last of their kind, known to be the mightiest, as many would call her, the Goddess of death and life, mourned the impermanence of her kind and promised to guide the world by dying and living once more and then dying once again, a mortifying cycle that would last forever.
Theories and beliefs then followed, spanning from the Goddess being vengeful and blaming the species of the world of her grief and her loving the species of the world so much, she would be willing to guide them to eternity at the cost of her being. These beliefs would then be made into truths and establishing religions of different variations.
The Goddess, known by many names like Mortina, Leticiana and Partimori but the most well-known is the name given to the continent befitting of the Goddess' likeness, Celestia.
The continent, for many centuries have been known to disappear from the face of the map many times, swallowed by the ocean. Then the next centuries, it would appear out of nowhere, spit back by the ocean. Giving the land lush vegetation and overgrown trees that span to the skies.
There are various species that inhabit this land. Namely,
1.)Humans - they are the most populous and the most versatile within the continent. One can expect them to be everywhere. Although they have short lives, their expertise when it comes to skills are not limited.
2.)Elves - they are long-lived in comparison to humans. They have a number of physical and spiritual advantages due to them having a keen sense for magic but because they are known to be bold to the point of recklessness, they often make mistakes and their straightforwardness makes them look rude to others.
*Half-elves
*Dark Elves
*Elemantals
3.)Animalfolk - like the others, they are a diverse species. They like to stay together and form clans. They have the most physical advantages in all the species. They have a strong sense of pride and often stubborn. With these traits, they appear arrogant and fierce to some and because of this, they frequently engage in conflicts.
*Catfolks
*Dogfolks
*Birdfolks
*Lizardfolks
*Fishfolks
4.)Dragonborn - they enjoy seclusion and most will only interact with the ones closest to them. They are an inexplicable race capable of transforming into a humongous beast with scaly wings and not much is known about them.
*Midra
*Dragonkin
5.)Ascended - they are probably the race that resembles the Primus the most. However, they do not have physical bodies and can only communicate through magic. They do have a true form but the other species cannot comprehend it so they can only see an unforgiving bright light that will most likely blind the ones who do have the chance to see it. Not much is known about their personalities but is believed that they do not have any semblance of it.
*Nephilim
6.)Demons - led by the Demon King, they are a race of raw emotion. It is believed that because they feel too much, this turns their magic into something horrific and transforms them into monstrosities. Any species can turn into a demon but the process of becoming one is still a conundrum.
*Cambion
7.)Monsterfolk - Once classified as Animalfolk, this race lacks rational thinking and they act feral, leaving behind any sign of normal communication. They do have a peculiar sense of loyalty to the Demon King.
*Goblin
*Orcs
*Pigmen
*Kobolds
*Gnome
*Various Beasts (etc.)
8.)Giantspawn - they are nature-loving giants that have identical biological physiology of a human. They do not live in groups and prefer to be alone. They are mostly elementals but a few also have control over animals. They are gentle and angering one is an achievement on its own.
9.)Dwarves - they are a fun-loving group of people that takes great pride in their crafts, not limiting to weapons but also woodwork, architecture, and everything that has to do with craftsmanship. They tend to obsess over their works though and you would not want to anger them, lest you taste their wrath.
With people comes settlements and Celestia is an abundance of groups. Namely,
1.) Kingdom of Etherion
Sovereign:
King Xavier Havan de Etherion
2.) Ereldian Empire
Sovereign:
Demon King ???
3.) Inoi tribes
Chiefs:
Momana of Tukar (Catfolk)
Sily of Asuk (Dogfolk)
Singka of Pati (Birdfolk)
Taoro of Bitisi (Lizardfolk)
Wego of Asin (Fishfolk)
4.) Canton Kingdom
Sovereign:
Queen Pipania Lotar de Canton
5.) Great Forest of Ku'ln
Sovereign:
Erlking Trasir of Fetua
....and the countless other realms.
Thereafter, the continent of Celestia thrived and became the center of the world's attention. This does not mean that it is all positive. Around the time where religions of differing truths came forward, there was a sinister force that hid itself from the world amassing great power and awaiting for its debut.
There are a lot of speculation about the identity of the Demon King. Some say he is a Primus of great evil, some say he is another being completely, others say he is raw energy or magic that contorts a person thus becoming a demon. Either way, he is the reason why Celestia is in a state of war. There is but one person who knows how the Demon King looks and that person is Elysia.
