I sat before the television, spooning custard into my mouth. As always, mum's always tastes wonderful. I squinted at the new headline and something nudged me enough for me to switch channels. The news always had something dark lingering around it. Technically, that was the world. That was life. We are living in it. A world full of many things: pains, suffering, hate and so much more rooted within our souls.

"Won't you have anything more?" my mum asked, plopping down into the couch right in front of me.
