"Where the hell were you?!'' My mom started. Ignoring her question I walked in closing the door behind me. No need to make the household hear us.
"I could ask the same thing mother." I spat the last word bitterly as if a lemon poured all over my mouth.
For a moment I saw something crossing her eyes. But whatever was it it was gone not giving me a chance to ponder over it.
"Don't give me altitude here Samantha. I can't stand seeing the only daughter of the Collins coming home at midnights. "
Rolling my eyes a yawn escaped me and I felt myself missing the comfort my bed gives me. All the while my dad has been quite, like strangely quite and I turned to see him analyzing me.
After a while he spoke.
"You smell of alcohols. You were at a party."
Not surprised that my father's big mind caught me on the spotlight I shrugged. And that earned a gasp from the woman beside us.
"No way! You didn't! '' She waited for me to agree but I instead gave her a blank look .
"How could you?! You are litterally stomping at our name! Why are you so rebellious Samantha!''
But before any sassy answer came from me my dad yet again interrupted us.
"Were you with boys Samantha? ''
And probably that was the thing that catch me off guard. And for a moment I felt myself being my thirteen years old self. When my father packed three paper sprays on my bag to attack every boy not five feet away from me. When dad used to make me believe boys have cooties. When he used to be the overprotective super dad. But as I blink my eye I remembered he was no long that dad. He is the bussy dad right now. He is the famous bussiness man. He is the dad who never had been there for his daughter at her hard times, he just sat away and saw her suffering. He left me. And he will always leave me.
"I don't think my 'boy' life concerns you anymore." I said air quoting the word boy.
"Sama-" he was cut off by my furious mother.
"What did you just say! You ungrateful child! If your sister was alive right now-"
"BUT SHE IS NOT! '' I cut her off yelling. "She's dead. Get that through your mind! She lied to all of us and decieved everyone. " I all but snapped. "And no need to hide the fact that you would trade my life to gain hers. Both of you. After all she's the best and aspiring daughter of the Collins ain't she? Bt believe me when I say you would one day be a parent of dead childs. And then no amount of tears would make me forgive you."
And with that I left the room and stomped to my safe zone, my room.
Being rich can have it's own consequences. Like having a name you should keep or an image you should show. You may have paparazzi follow you and people eye rape you. But whatever money bring ,it can't bring happiness. And that's a lesson I learnt in the hardest way possible.
_____________
Today is yet another school day. Nothing special about a Wednesday morning. My parents had left to London or Norway last night. Yeah, whatever, it's not that I need them anyway. They only come for special occasions or holidays. Yesterday they were here because of my twins fifth death anniversary .
Streching I walked over to my bathroom and did my morning routines. Taking a warm bath I wrapped a towel around my body and went to my closet. If you have people studying your outfit everyday you would have make an effort to impress them right? Well i don't.
Grabbing a black skinnies and a maroon sweatshirt I changed in a record time of 2 minutes. I blow dry my hair abd held it in a high ponytail. And with my black converses I was done.
Descending the white and silver marbeled stairs I was welcomed by the only aroma that can bring a smile on ny face.
Banana cake.
Running the rest way to the kitchen I jumped on one of the stool.
"Banana cakes!'' I chripped. Dona whose back was facing me shook her head and turn to me with a small grin.
"I made some. I know it will cheer you up."
Jumping again I engulfed her in a bear hug. Hugging her felt almost as if hugging a mother. Warm, gentle and left you wanting more.
"I love you Dona. I love you more than anyone." I said my face buried in the crook of her neck. Dona who is two inches smaller than me, tightened her hand around me and rub ny back comforting me.
"More than banana cakes?'' She joked trying to lighten the mood. I pulled back and stare at her warm brown eyes.
"More than banana cakes. " I confirmed.
"Come on eat. Don't want your fans to wait more now, do we ?''
I chuckled along woth her and shoved half of the cake for my breakfast.
What? A girl gotta eat.
"Bye Ma-" I stopped myself and I stood still. Dona was also taken back . Unwanted tears gathered at the rim of my eyes.
"Bye Dona." I mumbled and went out. I bring my hand and wipe my eyes. Funny how my housekeeper is more of a mother figure than my own mom. Chuckling humorlessly I jogged to the parking lot of my house. There were like a bunch of cars just kept for me. But today I don't care if I went riding a bike.
Grabbing the keys of my black Mustang I drove at my own crazy speed to my school.
Upon reaching my school I parked my car at my parking spot.
Yeah I have my own parking lot.
Just as I set a foot outside my car alk eyes bore a hole on me. And at that instant a short , very chrippy for a school day, friend of mine attack me in a bear hug.
"Yay dud hu lef ni drif all tat ?'' Her voice was muffled against my torso.
"What?'' I said completely not catching a word from what she said.
"Why did you left me drink all that?'' She asked pulling away from me. We started walking towards the lockers.
"Believe me Tes when I say, you're a fucking butthead when you drink.'' I answered shaking my head amused at her.
It was really funny how school improves my mood. This is my place. Where everyone respects me. Where I can feel the love of my friend. Where I can't feel lonely. High schools may be full of dramas, dumb teenagers, and bitchy teachers but still can feel a small void in my heart.
"Hey Sam!''
I turned around searching for the one who called my name. And guess who I spotted,
If you guessed the bad boys of our school and probably our town, you are one hundred one percent right.
My eyes roam over the three boys jogging over us.
"Care to tell me their name?'' I demanded from Tessie. She beamed at me ready to mention the history of them.
"The main points." I added. Nodding eagerly she opened her mouth to start explaining about them.
"Ethan, brown eyes, brown hair, smiley face , hot and a charm." I raised an eyebrow at the way she described the skirt-boy . "Nathan, black eyes, dirty blond, player and hot. And lastly Archer, darkbrown hair, sea-green eyes, hot, composed, rarely smile, hot, Greek God, hottest."
Just as she finished her rambling the boys arrived.
"Hey babe! ''Nathan throw his arms over my shoulder. I shrugged his arm but he kept throwing it until I gave up.
"Don't babe me." I scowled.
"Okay babe..." he drawled a stupid smirk lifting at tge cornet of his lips.
"Don't come crying after this."
"After what?'' He asked
"After this,'' I said and elbowed his stomach. Hard.
"Ow!'' He yelped and jumped away from me clutching his stomach.
"Bro, you cry louder than an elephant. " Ethan said shaking his head. He then turned to me and held his hand out,''Don't mind'em. I'm Ethan, Ethan Black. We hadn't had the time to introduce ourselves last time."
Both me and Tessie shake his hand. He's gentle. No wonder she called him a charm.
"Probably since some were drunk their ass off." I shot a look at Tessie.
"But yeah, nice meeting some of you." I said shotting a look at Nathan.
I then turned to Archer, "What about you?''
"What about me?'' he asked. He was leaning on one of the lockers hands folded around his chest. His black hoodie was doing nothing to conceal his arm muscles. His stone washed jeans gave him the vibe of a badboy. Some strands of hair felt on his forhead resisting to tag along the others at the side. This boy was hot, drool worthy hot.
"Tell me something. You kept silent for this whole time."
"What am I supposed to tell you?'' He rolled his eyes. He have altitude. May be a little rude. But nothing I don't like.
"Oh a lot of things. But step by step Pablo. "
