In any other forest the pine trees surrounding them would be marvelous, but they were dwarfed by the enormous branches that intertwined above them. Their thick roots long roots snaked across the forest floor. The further they got into the woods the less light filtered through the treetops and the light from the entrance vanished.
Nero stumbled on one of the unseen tree roots. "I can barely see my hands in front of me."
"Nero? Is that you? I'm glad you said something. I can't see a thing."
"Me either. Wait." They stopped at the same time. "Hello?
Bliperilla stopped and looked around. "Where did they go?"
"I don't know where, we, are." Nero felt around. "Where are you?"
"I'm over here." She spoke.
"Obviously. But where is that?"
"If its so obvious, why'd you ask? Where are you? Can you answer that?" Blipp shot back.
"Okay, fair. I'll come over to you." Nero stumbled through the darkness and found his way to Blipp. "Okay, take my hand."
They walked deeper into the forest, tripped every so often holding each other up. This time, it was Blipp that grabbed Nero. "You're kinda strong."
"So." She lifted him up. "I can lift like ten of you with one arm."
"That's impressive. I don't know if I can lift that much with one hand."
"I'm a warrior. Its kinda assumed that I'm stronger than the average Glow user. Where is everyone? Do you think we should go after them?"
"How? We don't even know where we are. Besides, Frides is probably with Ouran and Urs, Elle I'm sure you know can take care of herself. But thinking about it she's probably with them too."
"Why is that?" Blipp asked.
"Because Frides will protect them. He won't lose them."
"But he lost you? That doesn't make sense."
"Us." He corrected her.
"Right, us." She stammered, un unseen frown on her face.
"He didn't lose us. We fall in a different category. Whoa!" Something bright ran from one bush into another one. "Did you see that?"
"It's the only thing to see out here. Was it glowing?"
"It was a ghost." He gripped her hand tighter. "Can we leave now?"
"Ouch." She shook his hand away and started walking in the direction of the guiding ball of light. "Why would a ghost be that small."
"Maybe it was a spirit. Aww!… That's still a type of ghost. I'm going to run. What if its an evil spirit?"
"Shut up! You're starting to freak me out." She Glowed her gauntlets and lit up the area around her in a deep orange. "Should have done that earlier instead of holding your rough hands."
"Your hands are rough too."
"Two rough hands together can start a fire. Speaking of your hands are incredibly warm."
"Yeah, some people run cold. I run hot."
"A little too hot if you ask me." She moved the branch on the bush to the side. "Oh my! Come look at this!"
"Do I have to? What is it? Tell me from here."
"This might have been a mistake. Or maybe not. Either way you might need me more than you thought."
"That's what I said." Nero peeped over her shoulder. "It's a rabbit."
Nero reached in and Nero grabbed it and picked it up. "Wait, don't touch it." She backed away and he held it up and spun it one way and another. The rabbit looked like a rabbit so to speak, but its body was glowing like Blipp's gauntlets. It glowed blue, green and purple and when he moved it the Glow trickled down and floated away. The flakes travelled a distance like glitter and disappeared.
"I've never even heard about anything like this. This is amazing!" Nero grinned at Blipp.
"What is this place?" Blipp whispered walking ahead still using her gauntlets to light her way.
Nero gently placed the rabbit back down on the ground. It stood up on its hind legs. "There you go." It jumped up and chased around him. "Blipp! Look at this."
"What did you do to it?"
"Nothing. When I put it down it got really excited." The glowing rabbit raced past Blipp. "Hey! Where are you going?" The rabbit stopped and started running again once Nero got close. "Oh, so you want me to chase you. Come on Blipp!"
Nero hopped after the rabbit and Blipp kept up close behind them turning and twisting through the forest. "Are you seeing this?"
"I know its amazing right?" As they cut deeper into the forest, they came across other glowing creatures. Birds and squirrels and piglets all covered in the Glow flakes covering the surrounding forest in a powdered coat of glitter. Not just the creatures. As they made their way further in, they saw flowers with glitter dusted pedals and Glowing fruits hanging from glitter covered tree leaves. The tree trunks glowed as well but were dimmer than the fruits, flowers and creatures.
"I don't see why this forest is so dangerous." Blipp said.
