Frides and Urs followed the stairway to the outside of the horseshoe. There was a tunnel that Elle told them to follow that was used for deliveries and meant for a secret escape route for Madam Silvers in case the Peace Corps showed up. The tunnel was flat black. No matter how hard Frides tried to make out a wall or an opening it was useless. Elle had told them not to use a torch because then the catchers would be able to see them coming. Frides heard a thud and looked around to no avail.
"Urs." He whispered. Then he heard a putter patter of feet and another thud then he felt Urs' feathers against his side. "You have to stay close to me."
Frides finally felt the edge of the tunnel. He leaned down and placed a hand against Urs' chest. "Hold on."
He peaked his head out and there was no moon. "We have to be quiet." He rolled his eyes. "Am I really talking to a bear."
Urs growled.
"Domaku." Frides sighed. "Follow me and be quiet."
Frides crept slowly towards the lookout shack that was placed at the edge of the crater. He slowly rested his shoulder against the wall of the shack. When he peaked in he didn't see anybody then he looked around for the look out. Urs started to moan and he noticed she wasn't by his side.
Frides Glowed two purple daggers and looked around. He threw two of them into his immediate area lighting up his surroundings but didn't see anyone. Urs continued to moan.
"Shhhh." Frides whispered to Urs.
She was sitting at the top of the crater and her face was lit up. Frides took another look around then walked up to the crater. His face was lit up the same ever changing colors as Urs'. When he looked down he couldn't believe his eyes.
Frides looked over the edge of the crater. The stone that sat in the middle of Horseshoe spring was glowing. The sand that circled the spring in the center was sparkling. Frides couldn't even properly enjoy the sight due to the craziness. Two girls were fighting the man who suggested the Old Fashioned to Nero and Nero was fighting another member of the Peace Corps.
"Urs we need to find Imani."
