l never thought that the time will come.
That one day, I'll be accepting the voice.
It's too fast. Or is it because I'm starting to feel at ease?
'Lady Vera?' I decided to call her out.
'Why yes, Aurelius?' she chimed in happily.
'Why was my breathing unstable? And why—just..Why?' I asked confused.
'Well, the Devil was present. I'll make him fear everything—all according to the issued prophecy. Tch. I wasn't going to kill you in your sleep, cause if you are killed with me, I die as well. It's a double-edged sword.' she nonchalantly said.
'Thanks. I may have to be somewhere in the real life. I'll talk to you soon.' I bid my farewell.
But as I regained consciousness, she left with a message saying;
'We'll be having a lengthy chat though. For I will tell you my point of view, of everything right from the start.'

As I opened my eyes, the blurry sight of my grandpapa came to view.
"Venice, have you recovered well? If so, I might send you to The New Sapphire. It would be nice to have you in the Kingdom of Nightshade and be close to you in case anything happens, but I suppose someone would be violent enough to take over you." he hesitantly said.
"Grandpapa, why am I going to Sapphire? I presume it's because of Lady Vera?" I quietly said.
"Yes. Another thing is, the school isn't compatible enough to hold you down when "you" go berserk. That school was meant for normal students, not someone from the lost races of sorceresses, sorcerers, pure bloods, demons, and angels." he let out an exasperated sigh.
"Well, I'm sure Lady Vera would behave. Minus me getting immediately sick due to lack of energy." I spoke so fast that I bet grandpapa didn't got a hold of what I was saying.
"Well, you can fix that lack of vitality in Sapphire. They'll give you the Energy Orb. Especially if they knew you are the vasal AND my direct descendant. The Energy Orb was created after Lady Vera's cousin, I believe, read about what happened to the prominent lady of Sapphire. Maybe as instructed by the Hechiceras of Valor. Who knows? The House of Valor works in wonders, also in deceit. Tch."
Ohhhh—kayyyyyyyyy.
Looks like my grandpapa understood what I said..
I take it all back!
"Why would you choose Sapphire instead of Nightshade, grandpapa? Is there something you don't want me to know or be aware of? Given that the Lady is inside me." I carefully said.
"The Devil will never show his horns, my lovely Venice." grandpapa whispered while looking solemnly, as if he was reminiscing what it was—before everything came crushing.
The door swung open.
"Dad, thanks for looking after Venice. We got what we needed from the pharmacy and the grocery store. You should go, I know and understand they need you more there, but please let the last resort be our child in Sapphire." Mum quietly said, as Dad carried all the stuff they bought.
"Please, let it be the last resort, Papa." Dad also pleaded.
"But if you want your child alive for a long time, listen to me. Vera isn't compatible with Venice. Look at her now." Grandpapa said in a calm but stern manner.
My parents hung their heads low, but Dad said something that made me questioned my existence and the past.
"But Papa.. Even if the Angels show their wings, sometimes they're no different to a Devil that never show his horns."
