Noah didn't want to be forced to go at his crazy dating pace. He had never tried dating before and didn't know what he wanted to do. L was so stupid, a tail was hanging from his lower back and he couldn't get it to go away. Wasn't blackmail illegal? But Jason was nice…A short pause and he reached for his phone texting Jason, "Sorry I fell asleep last night, would you like to get coffee or something?"
Jason got the response and nearly kept from his seat slamming his knee into the desk and getting a sharp look from the professor.
"Sure, the one down the street from your house?" He asked quickly as he hid his phone behind his textbook pretending to pay attention to the lecture.
"Okay see you after your class…" was Noah's response and Jason frowned at his worn tennis shoes thinking of how unfortunate it was that he was wearing such a sloppy outfit, his house was on the other side of town and while he may normally borrow something from Nate it likely wouldn't make Noah think any higher of him if he showed up in his brother's clothes.
When the class ended Jason bolted from his seat his books already stashed in his bags and pulled out his phone once more to let Noah know he was on the way to the cafe.
Noah was freaking out. A beanie sat in his head hiding the ears rather well but he was having trouble fitting the tail into anything. It hurt to pull it up but left an obvious bunch on the back of his jeans, making the difficulties of finding an outfit just that much harder. Finally giving up he wrapped the tail around his waist like a belt and wore a large soft sweater over it. The black tail could almost pass as a belt if it started slipping and Noah was rather happy with the result but upon checking his phone again he saw that Jason had left class nearly ten minutes ago and was likely close to the cafe if not there already. Noah panicked a bit but then grabbed a large jacket to throw over the outfit to keep himself hidden and started down the road. The walk to the cafe went fast, likely due to how nervous he was and before he knew it he stood outside.
His phone buzzed in his pocket but he didn't need to check it as Jason had locked eyes with him through the glass window. With a large smile Jason beckoned him towards the claimed table. Two drinks already sitting before him.
"You ordered?" Noah asked in surprise.
"Your sweet tooth is famous, it's an iced peppermint mocha, but if I got it wrong feel free to go back up," Jason felt like he had messed up. Sweat forming by his brown but Noah smiled softly and sat down across from him putting those soft lips onto the lid and taking a small sip before smiling back at him.
"It's actually good," Noah said with a smile. It wasn't his usual drink but anything sweet with a lot of canine would make his day so he beamed across the table, the smile slightly stiffened when he though about his tasks though. Was this a date?
Jason was enjoying the looks flashing on Noah's face. After a bit talking about his pending return to school he noticed Noah's belt was not tied properly, sliding down his thigh and off the side of the chair. Reaching to fix it he paused slightly at the silky black felt texture and stoked his fingers down it. "What kind of belt…" Jason didn't finish as Noah fell into the table with a gasp his face going red and a slight keen exited his throat.
