"I'll show you my bedroom."
I silently nodded and decided to drop the topic Clearly, I said something wrong and it makes me somewhat guilty for making his mood change. I wonder what I said wrong that made him a little pissed. I followed him up to the staircase silently as he walks me to his bedroom. He opened the door for me as he tells me that his room was a little bit messy when it was definitely not messy at all. He was surprisingly very much well organized even to these surfing magazines that were piled one over the other.
Harry did not have a lot of stuff in his bedroom and he even had his own balcony outside where he can see the entire beach. There was not much stuff in here aside from his long board and short board, a bed with white bed sheets, his dresser and a small study table on the corner with his laptop.
"Make yourself feel at home." He tells me with a smile. "Good night Merry."
"Goodnight Harry."
I watch him as he walks towards the door but even before he can shut it, I called out, "Harry wait!"
He halted and stared back at me, "Yeah?" He stands by the doorway as he pushes his hair back.
"If I said something wrong that made you feel slightly angry, I'm sorry."
Harry smiles his dimpled smile. "I was not angry at you, Merry. Sleep well and I'll see you later."
I nod at him before he closes the door and I decided to go to sleep.
The moment I woke up, I heard seagulls outside and felt so much relaxed on top of this bed. I realized that I was still inside Harry's room and I was so much thankful that I didn't drink much last night because I am saved from hangover. I pulled myself up and stretched my arms out above my head as I see the sunlight entering Harry's sliding door which leads to his balcony. He had a white curtain covering the sliding door and as I glanced at the wall clock, it was almost noon. I pulled myself out from the bed and walked towards his surfboards which were white and green. He had his name carved on it in cursive as I run my fingers over it and wondered how great he might be in this sport.
I walked out of his bedroom quietly and was amazed at how massive the second floor's hallway was. I heard voices coming from downstairs so I followed the sound of the voices and was led to the kitchen where I see Diana, Zion and Georgina-Rose preparing meals for everyone.
"Hiya!" Diana greeted me as soon a she saw me.
I smiled. "Wow! It smells good in here."
"All thanks to Zion. I had to wake his drank ass up to cook for us." Diana answers.
My eyes travelled at Georgina-Rose who was her usual silent self and was completely different from the woman I saw last night who showed her breasts to Harry begging for sex. I dismissed the thought in my head and tried to help them in the kitchen. Georgina-Rose and I set up the table while Diana and Zion were still doing the cooking and preparing and when we finished setting the table, we went back to the kitchen to help them.
"Did you sleep well, Merry?" Zion pops out standing next to me as he leans his elbows over the kitchen countertop while he stares at me.
I nod. "I did sleep well. Where's Neal?" I asked worriedly, remembering that he fell asleep outside.
"Still cozied up on the sand." Diana answers while laughing.
I smile as I chuckle with Zion. "He'll most definitely wake up with a sunburn." I say.
Diana groans, "Tried waking him up too but he's completely knocked out."
"Poor Neal." Zion commented.
"Why did he have to drink so much last night? Being his Irish self again." Diana adds.
"Anyways, was someone playing the piano last night?" Zion asks before he shoves a grape into his mouth. "I don't know if I was hearing things in the living room but I most definitely heard someone playing the piano. I heard someone singing too."
Zion turns to Georgina-Rose, "Did you hear it Georgie?"
She shakes her head, "I didn't. I was totally asleep."
Zion looks back at me, "Any idea?"
"It was Harry." I grabbed a grape and threw it inside my mouth too before turning my attention back at Diana, Zion and Georgina-Rose who were looking at each other with surprise in their eyes.
"Harry?" Zion repeats.
I nod and felt creeped out that they were looking at me reluctantly. Diana laughs, "Harry can play the piano? I didn't know that. Did you Zion?"
He shrugs his shoulders. "I didn't. All I know is that he can sing because he told me before when we talked about music but I never really heard him sang. He shuts the topic instantly when it's about music." Now it makes me curious why he got suddenly pissed at me last night, we definitely did not talk about music last night. We discussed about his talent and the possibility of him being a singer.
What did I say wrong that made his mood change?
Georgina-Rose stares at me making me feel that she didn't like what I said. "No one among us really heard him sang or play the piano. We all know he's so much into surfing."
Zion and Diana nods.
"Actually, no one among us really knows what happened to him before he came here. Come to think of it, we definitely have zero idea about Harry and who he really is. We only know he came from London but the entire picture is voided out." Diana adds.
That's weird, I thought they were very close but why doesn't anyone from their circle know his story?
Zion nods, "He's really pretty elusive when it comes to his life but he's always so damn jolly."
"We only know he surfs and he's damn good at it. But, that's about it." Diana stated. "Anyways, time to wake up the others."
"I'll wake up Harry." Georgina-Rose then disappears from the kitchen leaving Zion and Diana laughing.
I took another grape, "What's the real score between those two?" I can't help but ask since I didn't quite trust what Harry told me last night about her.
Zion looks over the door, making sure Georgina-Rose was already far enough not to hear him, "She's super into Harry after he saved her life from drowning."
Diana joins us in the counter table with a dish filled with steaming waffles, "Harry's just a complete gentleman and he treats her nicely since he doesn't really want to hurt her emotions because she is emotionally unstable because of her past with her father. Harry knew about it first than anyone of us so he's always been so gentle and nice to her. Georgie's kind of… has multiple personality disorder."
Zion nudges Diana, "Don't call her like that."
"What? But it's true." Diana rubs the spot where Zion nudged her. "She's so silent and shy when she's not drunk but when she's had a lot of alcohol, she becomes a whole different person. There was one time when Olivia and I caught her talking to herself in the mirror. Totally sober."
Zion shakes his head, "She's just really obsessed with Harry no matter how many times he turns her down nicely. Georgie's nice, don't worry Merry. "
Diana rolled her eyes at Zion, "Cotton candy words gets you nowhere, Z. We all know how she begs Harry for sex when she's drunk. I mean I am horny when I'm drunk but I don't strip in front of a man begging him to fuck me."
Zion cocks his head, "How do you know that Miss Smarty pants when you're drunk?"
She rolled her eyes at him again.
I was surprised that they know about this. I thought I was the only one who though it was weird that a woman would strip in front of a man like that but at least Diana does not think so.
"I mean she is so damn lucky that Harry never takes advantage of her when she's drunk because he respects her a lot and yet she does not even respect herself." Diana states and it kind of makes me think that she does not like Georgina-Rose. "She throws a tantrum, but rarely, and when she throws a bad temper, she locks herself up in her room for a day."
Diana faces Zion, "I mean is it not a disturbing behaviour to you Mr. Zion Watts?"
Zion rolls his eyes at her, "No one can really win a debate with you."
I chuckle as I watch them have a friendly fight but I still worry about Georgina-Rose. I know there is so much more than the angelic face that she has. Every one of us has skeletons in our closets.
"Because I am right." Diana answers.
Zion breathes, "I think Georgie's just like that because of how her father physically abused her when she was growing up. Probably it messed her up so bad that's why she sometimes act differently."
"Ugh, let's just eat. I'm starving." Diana heads out of the kitchen and walks to the dining room.
