Heavy footsteps echoed through a metal hall, a woman in a lab coat muttered about something, reading off of her clip board as she spoke.
"Aiuna, please report to the department head." A rooting feminine voice echoed through the hall, making the woman look up.
"SHIT. Shit shit shit." The woman held the clipboard to herself and ran for the office, once at the fake wood door she took a breath and knocked.
After a second or two the door opened, a man with dark blue skin looked down at her, "There you are Aiuna," he spoke slowly.
Unlike Aiuna, who looked more humanoid, minus the silver hair and pink skin, the Department Head was what most would deam, animalistic. Digigrade legs, a thick tail, clawed hands, and the muzzle of a Dragon with a beard similar to a goat.
Aiuna bowed her head to him, "I'm sorry sir, I was focused on my studies."
This comment and action made the man chuckle, "No need for apologies," he stepped aside, allowing her into his office, "Come, take a seat."
Aiuna nodded once and stepped into the room, moss grew in odd places, mold in others as well, but thats what the Head Master studied, plants and fungi. Aiuna was assigned to study something far different.
"Miss Aiuna," the Head Master started as he sat, "May I ask you to move your place of Study?"
"Where to?" Aiuna sat across from the Head Master at his desk, even his desk was covered in moss and small odd plants.
"Well, it'll be more of... sharing your studies with another planet." He smiled and pet a small moss creature on his desk, making it coo.
Aiuna sat straighter, "And... what planet would that be?"
"A small planet called Earth. While they're highly advanced with technology, they are a bit behind in things such as plant life and Spiritology."
"So... you want me to go to another planet..." Aiuna tilted her head.
The Head Master gave a single nod, "Look into their studies, and if they are ready, claim to have discovered Spiritology."
"Uh.. alright... when am I leaving?" Aiuna fiddled with her clipboard.
"In two weeks, that'll give you time to gather what you need to travel there and say goodbye, and hopefully, see you later "
"Wait, why goodbye?" Aiuna's shoulders lowered, concern filling her red eyes.
"Because you might be there for a while." Head Master gave a sad smile.
"I... oh..." Aiuna took in a breath, "Well, in the name of Science, I'll do it."
"That'a girl." Head Master smiled to her, he scooped up the small moss creature and handed it to her, "Here, bring Miru with you."
She tilted her head and took the creature from the Head Master's claws, "Miru? What does it eat?"
"Anything you no longer need! Look," Head Master took a piece of paper from his desk and held it before the moss creature that ate the paper like a shredder.
"Al... right then..." Aiuna looked to the Head Master, "Is there anything else you need Sir?"
He shook his head, "No, you're free to leave."
"Thank you sir," Aiuna bowed her head and left the room, with Miru on her clipboard. Miru was about the size of an average hedgehog. It wandered around Aiuna's clipboard and sniffed things including her hands.
"Hehe, hello little one..." she rubbed the side of it with her thumb, Miru turned its head, sniffed her thumb, and bit her. "Ow..."
Over the next two weeks, Aiuna said her fair wells to her loved ones and gathered the things she wanted to bring with her to Earth. With Miru in a little cage and all of her stuff packed, Aiuna bowed to her family as Head Master stepped up to her, handing her a folder.
"Here you go miss Aiuna, this is your name, age, and what you look like on Earth."
Aiuna nodded and took the folder, "Thank you sir," she glanced to the folder before hugging the tall man, surprising him. After a moment she let go and picked up Miru's cage before going onto the ship that was prepared for her trip.
Aiuna sat in her chair and place Miru on the desk before her, she sighed softly and leaned back in the chair.
"Launch in 10 seconds." A rooting feminine voice echoed through the one room ship.
" Ten seconds... not much time to bail..." Aiuna looked to the ceiling of her ship.
"Six Seconds till Launch."
Aiuna looked to Miru, "Ready for a small nap bud? I promise it won't be long." She sat up and put a finger through the gap of the cage.
"Launch in 2 seconds."
"See you soon bud." Aiuna scratched Miru's side before sitting back again. The door to the one room ship shut, then the ship itself began to move. A small hiss came from the vents and a Lavender scent filled the room.
"Releasing Nitrous Oxide. Sleep well, Aiuna" the feminine voice chimed as the room started to grow dark, a small click signified that the ship attached to a small pack on her back.
Aiuna was awoken by bumps, shaking both her and Miru awake. How long had she been asleep? Days? Months?? Years??? Aiuna placed a hand over her eyes and groaned, forcing herself to sit up as she did so, unclicking the hose with ease.
She shook her head and looked to the folder, through her entire dream she was told who and what she was on Earth, a Human woman named Sakura Alswin and she was to study plant like mutations. To be sure of the dream she took a small glance through the folder.
"Yep .. Sakura Alswin.. why two names? Is one not enough?" Aiuna shook her head and stood up, well, tried to. In her attempts to stand she lost her balance and flopped back into the chair, "Ughhh... it must have been a long flight..." she shook her head again and logged into the desk top, instantly calling the Head Master.
After a few rings the screen filled with the well aged face of the Blue animal like man, "AH! Aiuna!" He smiled, "I was hoping you'd wake up soon!"
Aiuna winced softly, "Uh.. sir, how long has it been?"
He chuckled, "Long enough for me to grow old, and for your hair to grow from your shoulders to your ankles.."
"What?" Aiuna checked herself, "Oh good heavens!"
"Ship landing in ten minutes." The lights slowly faded back on to not blind Aiuna, who sighed softly and looked back to the Head Master.
"Sir, how is everything there? Is everyone alright?" Aiuna pulled a brush from her pack and get to work combing out her long hair.
"While a long time has passed my dear, nothing to special has happened. Though your friends here are constantly hard at work looking into their respective studies."
"Can you give them, and my family, a message please?" Aiuna smiled, hopeful.
"Of course, what would you like to say?"
Aiuna smiled, "Hello everyone, I'm doing fine and well, and Miru is still happily with me. I want you all to know I'm alright, and for now, until Earth accepts the studies, My name is Sakura Alswin. I love you all, even after so long has passed."
Head Master smiled, "they gave you Two Names?"
"Mhmm! Oh! I need to get ready for landing! I'll try to call later Head Master!"
"Yes, yes, good luck my dear." With that, Aiu- Sakura hung up the call and gathered her needed materials, though in honesty, it wasn't much needed. She stepped into a small nook the room had and it shut around her, changing her appearance to match the picture within the file.
When she stepped out, Miru let out a surprised squeak making her giggle, "Shocked Miru?" She opened the cage to let the small plant explore before landing, "This is it!" She looked out the window to the large planet, "The place we'll call home! Its very blue... isn't is Miru?" The little creature cooed her.
The ship landed in the middle of a forest, the door slowly opened. Once open, Sakura peeked out of the ship, Miru sniffing the air before cooing more.
"Are you miss Alswin?" A voice called out to her, spooking her.
"What? Oh... uh... who are you?" She stepped out of the ship and looked towards the voice.
A blonde human smiled to her, "My name is Drake Hoctor. I'm your escort to the facility you'll be working at," he held a hand out to her, "Come on out..."
"Oh. Alright..." Sakura stepped out of the ship and bowed her head to Hoctor.
"Are you ready to go miss?"
With a glance, Sakura looked to the ship, "Yes..." she looked back to Hoctor, "I'm ready!"
