Ella wasn't sure how she was going to go about Pete's request. And she hated to admit to herself that somehow deep down inside, she was very worried about Ken. But not only was she worried, she was kind of curious too. She wanted to know what was going on inside his head, and why he had decided not to give marriage a thought. Was that why he had left like that after their night together? But she hadn't even asked him to marry her or anything. It wasn't even like they had been in a relationship so that didn't make sense.
She stood up and paced around her office. This was going to be difficult no doubt, since she was still very hurt by what he had done. She looked up when her office door was pushed open and her best friend Tracy walked in carrying two food packs, "Babez how far? Why are you just standing there like that?" Tracy asked as she dropped the food packs on the table, and took off her shoes before lowering herself on the chair.
