"I've never been to a more touching wedding," Kathleen said, later that evening as she lay on Pete's bed with him, watching a movie. Ella and Ken had just left since they had all come back to the house together.
In the months following their engagement she had gradually come to relax around him, and she didn't worry so much anymore about being alone with him indoors. So while the others were in the living room watching TV, they both often stayed back in his bedroom to have some time to themselves, while also going over the details of their marriage.
"I know, right? I guess God used this to teach us that he doesn't judge people by human standards. If he did, many of us wouldn't experience the magnitude of blessings we enjoy," Pete said thoughtfully.
"I agree with you. That reminds me, I forgot to ask you. How are the preparations going for the restaurant? It's been a while since you mentioned it," Kathleen said, changing the subject.
