Kathleen had a big smile on her face as she worked that morning. Somehow everything seemed different now. Although she still felt a bit awkward about dating her boss, Pete was very understanding and tried to make it easy for her. They had both talked about his plan for the restaurant as they ate dinner together. That had been awkward too, eating from the same plate with him, but he didn't seem to mind.
Earlier that morning he had walked into the kitchen a few minutes after she started preparing breakfast, and had given her a good morning kiss on her forehead, both cheeks, the tip of her nose, her chin, and then her lips. It had made her feel like a silly teenager.
"This one you're smiling with all your teeth, did something good happen?" Dave asked with a teasing smile as he watched Kathleen.
