Kathleen had no idea what she had been expecting after Pete's confession the previous day, but she knew the one thing she hadn't expected was for him to leave for his trip without informing her first. She had assumed they had crossed a certain line that weekend, but it obviously wasn't so.
She had thought that they were both going to leave for the office as usual that morning and then he would leave from there, or perhaps she would at least see him before leaving for the office. She had been very surprised when Chidi informed her that Pete had left earlier since he needed to see his father first that morning before leaving for the airport.
Sitting in her office now, she couldn't help contemplating whether she should just keep waiting for him to call her, or perhaps she should call him to find out if he had arrived safely. She decided against the later since she was still upset he had left without leaving a message or bothering to call her.
