"So. How is your mate? I heard she is a dashing ice dragon.", Eravon looked at Ignis as he floated upside down in outer space.
The Dragon lord smiled, "Beautiful as always."
"Happy to see you enjoying time with her.", Eravon smiled, "What's her name?"
"Nieve.", Ignis replied. "A lovely name. You have to introduce me to her when I visit you.", Eravon replied with a grin. Ignis nodded, "It will be my pleasure."
A bright light interrupted their conversation as a powerful explosion grew silently in the empty expanse of space.
"They're still going at it huh?", Ignis said. Eravon nodded, "Of course. I am glad I chose a faraway planet for them."
Both of them looked at a planet about the size of mars orbiting a star similar to the sun. Before long it had an atmosphere and conditions similar to Earth, although without a single trace of life.
Given a few billion years and life would've evolved and flourished on this planet.
Now the planet resembles an apple that someone had taken a bite out of. Its molten insides poured out as if from a grievous wound and massive chunks floated around it.
The previously favorable atmosphere is now darkened and dense with smoke and ash from the destruction. Ignis gazed at the planet and tried to look past the dark clouds but to no avail. However, he could sense the battle raging underneath that dense cover.
Among the seven groups of dragons, the dragon lords are unique such that they can survive in space.
In addition to that, Both of them had applied a thin layer of magia around their bodies which replenishes the air they breathe out and also protects them from the harmful effects of outer space.
"Shall we get closer?", Eravon suggested and started moving towards the planet that is now in the process of being destroyed. "Wouldn't we be caught in the middle of the fight?", Ignis asked.
"It's fine as long as we keep our distance.", Eravon assured him with a grin, "Besides. I will keep us safe."
With this, the two of them descended into the dense and darkened atmosphere of the planet and the surface came into view.
Before the four of them arrived here, this unnamed planet had a rocky surface with tall mountains and huge valleys along with vast rocky plains. Now it is covered with huge craters and massive cracks that stretched for hundreds of kilometers.
It has become a hellish landscape with flowing rivers of lava and pieces of the planet launched into space fell back as meteorites.
The mountains have been reduced to rubble and the massive cracks glowed from the magma from within the bowels of the planet. Storm clouds swirled in the sky and high-speed winds whipped around.
The temperature is unbearable and the conditions are extreme but Eravon and Ignis are not at all affected by the harsh conditions. Massive quakes all over the planet ripped the ground and created new cracks on the surface.
Lightning flashed brightly among the storm clouds but they weren't as bright as the two godly beings who clashed violently in streaks of crimson and gold. Powerful shockwaves ripped the air and shook the ground with each contact.
Massive amounts of magia washed over Eravon and Ignis as the Vampire Queen and Spirit Queen duked it out on this planet far from Earth.
The Dragon Lord watched the battle in both awe and fear, "I haven't seen something like this ever since the war. There were more of these guys back then. I was surprised the Earth didn't shatter from all that power."
Eravon shuddered, "Don't get me started. I had to give all I had to fortify the planet during that time."
"So that's why I didn't see you on the battlefield.", Ignis remarked. Eravon nodded, "Yep. But my efforts weren't enough."
The Dragon Lord understood what he meant and nodded, "Yeah. We did lose a moon."
"And only two continents and thousands of islands were what remained when the dust settled.", the Immortal Warlock sighed, "Just whose idea was it to fling an enemy straight through a moon?"
"I think it was Queen Akira's.", Ignis recollected. "I'm not surprised.", Eravon shrugged.
"What was that about me?", Akira suddenly appeared in front of them to their surprise. Before they could answer Vanessa appeared beside her and kicked her right in the face, launching the Fox Goddess through a relatively unscathed mountain.
"They were talking about your dumb antics you fox!", she snapped.
Eravon grinned, "You look delighted."
The Vampire of the Purple Rose nodded with a smile. Her clothes were tattered but she looked fine, except for a few scratches, and is virtually unaffected by the hellish conditions. "It's been so long since I have fought this hard. Thank you Eravon for preparing a suitable place."
Eravon bowed, "Happy to help."
"SAME HERE. THANKS, ERAVON.", Akira's voice boomed as she took the form of a massive nine-tailed fox and emerged from the base of the mountain. In this form, she had white fur that faded to pink at her tails with orange streaks along her body.
Her golden eyes glowed and the ground shook when she howled. Vanessa chuckled, "She's finally getting serious."
Ignis blinked, "I'm sorry? You guys straight up deleted a major chunk of the planet and you weren't serious?"
Eravon laughed, "My dear Ignis. Did you forget who we are talking to?"
"Oh yeah. I almost forgot.", Ignis sighed. Vanessa smiled, "You guys should stand back. Things will get really nasty from now on."
Saying this she turned into petals and transformed into her eighteen-year-old self, clad in a crimson armored dress with flowing ribbons, arm covers of lace, and white half gloves.
A silver sword appeared in her hand and blood swirled around it. Two massive wings of blood unfurled behind her and her icy blue eyes glowed. She smiled maniacally as she faced the massive fox.
"Going for red this time huh.", Seventeen remarked and turned to Ignis, "Let's get as far away as we can."
Ignis nodded and turned into his dragon form. Eravon snapped his fingers. The next second, they were a great distance from the two queens.
Eravon stumbled and almost fell but the Dragon lord picked him up and propped him on his back. "The planet is getting reshaped due to its gravity.", Eravon nodded as powerful quakes started breaking the ground.
"Can you teleport us away from here? I feel like something big is going to happen.", Ignis requested as the dark sky suddenly turned red.
They felt an intense pressure forming. Eravon's eyes widened, he recognized this Code. He had seen Vanessa use it many times in a mirror dimension he opened for her. Chills ran down his spine despite the rising temperatures.
"Oh shit. Let's get out!", he snapped his fingers again and the two of them are now on one of the massive chunks that are orbiting the planet. It was far enough to not fall back on the planet.
They were just in time as an immense sphere of swirling crimson growing to cover a huge area on the planet. It was so big that its top emerged from the dense atmosphere.
A second sphere composed of golden flames grew along with the blood sphere. Both clashed and magia spilled from the contact. Soon the spheres covered almost half the planet.
Suddenly they stopped growing and disappeared in the blink of an eye. In the next second, a colossal explosion ripped the planet into massive chunks and it became a mini sun for a moment.
Eravon immediately put up a barrier and clenched his teeth as it struck the energy of the explosion and pieces of the unfortunate planet.
When everything calmed down Eravon disabled the barrier and looked ahead and sighed, "I should've expected this."
Most of the planet is gone and it is permanently in the shape of a crescent. Pieces of the planet now floated all around them.
"What was that?", Ignis asked, his tail swishing nervously.
"Blood Nova. One of Vanessa's most destructive Codes. Anything inside the sphere would be completely annihilated. Add that with Akira's Code to counter it and the instability of the planet.", Eravon shook his head, "The celestial body stood no chance."
He spotted Vanessa and Akira on another large piece of leftover rock. Both were out of breath and faced each other. Their clothes were tattered and a few bruises and scratches were seen on them.
The only major injuries were a small cut on Akira's forehead and Vanessa had a bleeding nose. Despite this, they still had a lot of power left.
"I think this much is enough.", Eravon said as he snapped his fingers again and appeared between the them
"Eravon!", Both of them said in surprise. "You've survived!", Akira exclaimed.
"Did you guys honestly think that an exploding planet is enough to croak me?", Eravon asked, slightly disappointed.
They shrugged, "Maybe? You are a man of many surprises, Eravon.", Vanessa remarked.
Eravon stood there, arms crossed. He was a little annoyed but he sighed, "So. How was the battle?"
"It was pretty amazing. I haven't gone all out in a long time.", Akira replied with a smile and stretched.
"Glad to see you had fun. At least destroying a whole planet was worth it.", Eravon sighed, "So what now?"
Vanessa looked at him, "I would like to go back to my palace for some rest. That is unless a certain fox would like another round of beating.", she glared at Akira.
"Oh? What did I just hear?", the Spirit Queen inquired, clearly provoked then dismissed it with a wave of her hand, "Forget it. I also am a bit tired.", she turned to Eravon.
"Let's go back to Earth."
He nodded and opened a new rift that led back to Vanessa's palace. The four of them passed through the rift and now stood under the huge tree in the garden. The rising sun marked the beginning of a new day.
Vanessa took a deep breath, "It's good to be back."
She was back in her old form and even her tattered clothes were mended. The same could be said for Akira. Their wounds have disappeared
Vanessa turned to the remaining three, "How about you guys have breakfast here?"
"Oooh. I love free food.", Akira's eyes twinkled. Vanessa rolled her eyes, "Of course you do. I'll have my servants whip up an amazing breakfast that even a beast like you would love."
Akira's eye twitched, "Oh you princess. Do you really want a second round?"
"Try me.", Vanessa challenged with a smile. Eravon and Ignis felt the pressure increasing. "Ladies. Let's have a peaceful breakfast. You must be tired.", Eravon reminded them.
"Fine.", Both of them stopped provoking each other and walked to the palace and started a conversation. Eravon looked at them talking and shook his head with a smile.
"A few moments ago those two were blowing up a planet and trying to kill each other. Now they are chatting as if nothing happened. What am I going to do?"
"Perhaps that's what makes them good friends.", Ignis changed into his human form and smiled, "Their battle was really out of this world.
Eravon chuckled, "You can say that again."
"Speaking of battles.", Ignis suddenly remembered something, "Something happened in the Silent Mountain. The last thing I heard before coming here was the vast destruction of the mountain."
Eravon just smiled, "Ah yes. What happened was really interesting."
"Indeed Eravon. That's one of the reasons why I came here. I had detected something odd from that mountain.", Akira called out from the back entrance of the palace.
"How about we talk about it over breakfast?", Vanessa suggested and the two of them entered the palace.
"Damn. I keep forgetting that they have good senses.", Eravon ribbed his head.
Ignis shrugged, "Well they are CAT-5. Not to mention Akira is the queen of spirits and demi beasts."
"Oh well. I am hungry. Let's get going.", Eravon said and the two of them followed the Crowns into the palace.
