My body froze on hearing her confession.
Suddenly she fainted while crying, holding my arms. I caught her not to fall from the bed. My heart stopped working on seeing her unconscious state.
" Ammuuuu…."
I screamed her name with fear.
Immediately, the duty sister ran towards us and asked us to leave. But she held my arm tightly even in her unconscious state.
Tears were rolling down my eyes and I didn't want to leave her.
" I will not leave my wife. Please continue your work " I said.
" But sir…" the nurse tried to tell something but I cut off her words.
" If you want to continue to work in my hospital, do what I say," I said to her seriously whereas Arvind left the room while crying.
After a while, the doctor came inside and gave an injection to Ammu for the improvement of the pulse rate.
" Sir….we are trying our best. But her body is not responding to the medicines. " the doctor informed sadly.
