Arpious cracked one eye open, looking over her shoulder at Runa, who stood just at the edge of the waterfall with a sly grin. Her silver hair was tied back, though a few strands escaped to frame her face. Without hesitation, Runa stepped into the stream beside Arpious, the water soaking her loose tunic before she flicked her fingers, and it vanished with a puff of shimmering magic.
"Runa!" Arpious exclaimed, her cheeks flushing slightly at the witch's boldness.
"What?" Runa replied innocently, running her fingers through her wet hair. "You didn't think I'd let you hog the waterfall, did you?"
Runa picked up a sponge imbued with magical light and began to lather it with a bar of soap that seemed to glow faintly as she worked. With a wicked glint in her eyes, she turned to Arpious. "Hold still," she said, stepping closer and gently scrubbing Arpious's back.
