The vines moved fast, twisting and writhing like serpents, but Arpious was faster. She spun her scythe in tight circles, slicing through the incoming plants with precision. The rhythmic hum of the weapon echoed through the clearing as shredded vines fell to the earth.
As Runa continued her assault, Arpious noticed the vines were herding her toward a specific point. A quick glance at the ground revealed faint runes glowing beneath her boots. Runa was setting a trap. Arpious smirked and feigned ignorance, letting the vines push her toward the marked area.
