Eventually, Arpious leaned back fully, her head resting on Runa's shoulder. "Thank you," she said quietly.
"For what?" Runa asked, her voice just above a whisper.
"For moments like this. For always being here."
Runa's hand found Arpious's, their fingers intertwining. "You've given me just as much, if not more," she said. "I'm grateful every day."
The two sat there, wrapped in the warmth of their blankets and the glow of the stars, feeling as though the vastness of the universe had shrunk to encompass just the two of them. The night stretched on, timeless and serene, as the stars above bore silent witness to their unspoken bond.
