Chapter 98 - Chapter 98

Madison walked into the cubicle and pressed the door lock technology thing by the door. She found Freya preparing her bed and Ingrid was already tucked in the lower bunker. She went over to Freya and hugged her from behind, clearly making her halt in whatever she was doing. Ingrid looked at the two from down below and she chuckled at them.

"So, sleeping time is here." Madison began. They were all dressed in red cotton shorts and white T-shirts.

"I know…" Freya answered as she tidied up her bed, as Madison maintained her position, leaning on her from behind.

"How did you guys fair on out there?" Madison asked as she inserted her hand in Freya's shorts. Ingrid closed her eyes.

"Eew! Eew! Eew. Not in front of me! Geeze!" She squeaked from her shut eyes.

"Um, the day," Freya let out a soft moan. "Hannah managed to finish up my sheet and I came back with forty-five signatures." And another moan.

Ingrid mumbled. "Freya you literally didn't have to do that."

"Hey," Freya squeaked as she pulled Madison's hand out of her shorts. "It doesn't matter."

"What's wrong?" Madison asked as she grabbed Freya by her waist and pulled her closer to her.

"Nothing," Freya answered as she afforded a weak smile. "I'm just too tired. Tomorrow maybe?" She pecked Madison's lips and climbed her bed.

"Freya, is there something you're not telling me?" Maddie asked. She sounded worried. Freya looked away and faced the wall, her back facing Madison. "Freya, what happened out there today?" She arched her head so that she could see Ingrid. "Come on, what happened. Tell me?"

Ingrid shrugged as she pulled her duvet closer above her bust. "Maddie you need to talk to your girlfriend," Was all that she could say.

"Freya… what's wrong?" Maddie asked. "Talk to me." She shook Freya by her arms. "You've been avoiding me since you came back here today. And right now… what was that? Freya please."

Freya turned so that she locked eyes with Madison. Her eyes were already watery.

"Babe, you're crying…what is it?"

"Tell me the truth Madison."

"The truth? About what?" Madison asked as Ingrid listened from her lower bunker.

"Do you really love me or are you using me as a second option?"

"Why are you even thinking of that? Of course, I love you."

"So you mean to tell me that all the crap about Stan and you sending him nudes is nothing?" Freya asked. Madison's face was full of shock.

"Stan? Nudes? Where the fuck did you get all this information?"

"Does it matter?" She softly asked.

Madison's eyes drifted to Ingrid below. Her eyes were full of embarrassment and rage. "It's Ayden… your boyfriend? He told her?"

"Yeah," Ingrid answered and Freya closed her eyes. "Look Madison it doesn't matter from where the information came from… you need to be honest with Freya. You can't keep hurting her over and over. If you're truly not in love with her, tell her. You can't keep doing this to her."

"You want to know?" Madison asked as she trained her eyes back to Freya. She nodded coherently. "Well um, it's the truth." Freya wiped away her tears.

"Thank you for your honesty, Maddie." She told her and turned around. Her back faced Madison again.

"Oh, no… no… you don't get to do that to me, Freya. You don't." Madison squeaked as she grabbed Freya's arm.

"Leave me alone." She growled as she shook off Madison's hand.

Ingrid's eyes popped up.

"So what now? You're now treating me like the villain?" She asked. "Freya you think I don't see how you look at Ingrid? You think I don't see how you zone out in class when you land your eyes on her?"

"Freya doesn't have the same feelings for me anymore Maddie," Ingrid mumbled.

"Oh shut up! I saw you two kissing under the tree on Saturday. You think I don't know what's going on between the two of you?"

"That was a friendly kiss…" Ingrid muttered.

"Not to her, it wasn't…" Madison shook her head. She turned to Freya. "Freya I'm really trying here, but when you give me these uncanny responses you lead me to do other stuff. I just want us to be the way we were before."

"I was hoping that we would head there." Freya turned and faced Madison before she responded. "Yes, I'm in love with Ingrid Maddie… but I can't cheat on you. I may have all the romantic fetishes about her but I can't do such a thing to you. You are the one who started all of this. And whatever is going on between us… it's your fault."

"You know what?" Madison cried out. "I'm so fucking tired of you having to hold onto the past like that. I'm sick of it Freya!"

"Hey, Maddie cool down." Ingrid interrupted from down below.

"I messed up I know, and I'm the one to blame but I thought that we were going to make better of ourselves Freya… but I can't if you keep treating me like some sinner. You're not perfect too you know?"

"I didn't say I was perfect." Freya rolled her eyes at her. "But it was about finding hope in our scars. You're an amazing girlfriend Maddie but with the way things are going, I can't see us ever getting back together."

"So… you mean like you're breaking up with me?" She asked with a hint of worry.

"I'm sorry, but yeah," Freya answered with a tint of sadness, as tears formed in her eyes.

Maddie's eyes gave way to sudden tears. "Freya, please don't…" she shook her head. "Let's figure things between ourselves and try to be better. Please don't." She grabbed her arms with desperation.

"I'm sorry Maddie. I'm happy for what we had but it's over."

Maddie let her loose and took a step back, her eyes were soaked wet, and tears came down her cheeks. She turned to Ingrid and brushed her black hair back. Her plaited rows swiveled around. "This is your fault!" She snapped at her.

"What!" Ingrid blurted in a sudden sharp outburst.
