The Avengers had successfully undone Thanos' snap from five years ago. Now they are dealing with a greater problem. A massive black space ship was hovering over the fields. And below that space was the purple-skinned Mad Titan, Thanos. He was sitting on a piece of debris, waiting for Nebula to retrieve the Infinity Stones.
Thor was fat and wearing his black robes. Captain America had worn his blue hero outfit, plus the mask. And Iron Man was already inside of his suit, excluding his helmet. The trio of heroes had stood side by side on top of a mountain of debris, staring down at Thanos.
"What's he doing here?" Captain America asked.
"I don't know why he's here. I killed him." Thor answered, remembering back when he killed Thanos on the Planet of Garden.
"Are you sure you killed him? Because he's standing right there." Iron Man asked as he looked at Thor.
"Yeah. I killed him with Stormbreaker." Thor replied.
"Yeah, Tony. He did kill him. I saw it." Captain America said, backing Thor up.
"It has to be another Thanos. I don't know where he came from..." Thor stared at Thanos and noticed that he didn't have any injuries on his body.
Iron Man turned his attention back to Thanos, who was hundreds of yards from them. "What's he been doing so far?"
"Absolutely nothing." Thor said.
"Where are the stones?" Captain America asked.
"Somewhere under all this... rubble." Iron Man said, looking around at the debris. "All I know is he doesn't have them."
"So we keep it that way." Captain America said.
"You guys know it's a trap, right?" Thor asked.
"Yeah. But I don't really care much." Iron Man said in a little carefree tone.
"Me neither." Captain America said.
"Yeah. Good. Just as long as we're all in agreement." Thor said, then raised his arms in the air. His eyes glowed a bright white color. Thunder had cracked throughout the sky, as Thor was summoning Mjolnir and Stormbreaker. Six seconds had passed and Thor had a change of clothing. His black robes had suddenly changed into his original God of Thunder attire and his beard was magically braided. As soon as he touched Mjolnir and Stormbreaker, electricity coursed through his body. His eyes glowed a light blue electric color. "Let's kill him properly, this time."
It took five minutes of walking through massive debris for the Trinity to approach Thanos.
Thanos looked to see Iron Man, Captain America and Thor. Three superheroes that this version of Thanos has never met before.
"You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me." Thanos stared each of them down as they surround him. "I thought by eliminating half of life... the other half would thrive. But you've shown me... that's impossible. As long as their are those who remember what was... there are always those who cannot accept what can be. They will resist." Thanos looked at Iron Man.
"Yep. We're all kinds of stubborn." Iron Man replied.
"You'd rather... alter time and get back what you once had... than accept reality and move on." Thanos chuckled. "I'm thankful. Now I know what I must do." Thanos had stood up on his two feet. "I will take the stones that you've worked so hard to collect for me. Then, I will shred this universe down to its last atom... and create a new one." Thanos placed on his golden helmet. "For I, Thanos. Will be teaming with life." he pulled his Double-Eged Sword made of Uru out of the dirt. "I will give it not what that is lost... but only what had is been given."
Iron Man widened his eyes a bit as he figured out Thanos' plan. Thor prepared to battle Thanos with both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker.
"A grateful universe." Thanos said as he held his Double-Edged Sword.
"You mean one that is born out of blood." Captain America said.
"They will never know it. Because none of you will be alive to tell it." Thanos had taken his battle stance, ready to face the Avengers.
Thor screams as he charged towards Thanos. Iron Man forged a weapon and leaped towards Thanos.
Forty-Five Minutes into their fight
The result of Professor Hulk snapping his fingers had brought back everyone that died five years prior. All the superheroes on earth and from space had came to aid Captain America against Thanos. Not long did it take Captain Marvel to arrive and destroy Thanos' massive ship.
Thanos had just destroyed Ant-Man's Time Machine, preventing Captain Marvel from going back into the past. The van had exploded in her face, causing her to fly dozens of feet backwards, due to shockwave. Doctor Strange were keeping the flood at bay with their sorcery. Everyone else was fighting each other like a war.
Nano-Gauntlet with all six Infinity Stones had lied on the ground.
Iron Man moved a corpse off of his body, then spotted the Nano-Gauntlet lying on the ground. And so did Thanos. They rushed towards the Nano-Gauntlet at the same time and started fighting each other.
Iron Man tried to tackle Thanos, but failed. He was knocked backwards by Thanos' large elbow.
Thanos tried to pick up the Nano-Gauntlet, but was temporarily stopped by Thor, who swung Stormbreaker and tried to amputate his right hand. He had fought Thor, temporarily as he tried to pierce Thanos' chest with Stormbreaker. Captain America jumped on Thanos' back and tried to grapple him. But due to the great strength of Thanos, not even Thor and Captain America working together could trump him. Thanos heabutted Thor to a boulder, then threw Captain America off his back and onto the ground and punched his lights out.
Thanos grabbed the Nano-Gauntlet, but had yet to wield it. He was soon by Captain Marvel, who threw punches at his face. She tried to create an opening, where she could grab the Nano-Gauntlet. But Thanos was too smart. He saw what she was doing. He grabbed her right arm and threw her aside like garbage. In the next five seconds, Thanos placed the Nano-Gauntlet on his arm and felt powerful surges throughout his body.
Captain Marvel saw him put on the Nano-Gauntlet and tried to snap his fingers. But with her speed, she caught Thanos before he could snap his fingers. She grabbed the Nano-Gauntlet, attempting to pull it off his hand. Thanos tried headbutting her, but it did not worked as it made her look angrier. She was overpowering Thanos with her strength. Thanos was pushed down on one knee and didn't know what to do, until he glanced at the Power Stone on the Nano-Gauntlet. He snatched the Power Stone off the Nano-Gauntlet and wielded it into his left hand. He temporarily screamed in agony as he wielded it overwhelming power in his fist.
Captain Marvel gasped as she saw what Thanos was doing. She couldn't move out of the way, until she was punched many yards away by Thanos. She crsuhed into a few boulders and was considered out cold, temporarily.
Iron Man at this time stared at Doctor Starnge, who was keeping the massive lake waters from drowning everyone. Doctor Strange glanced at Iron Man and raised his index finger towards him. At that moment, Iron Man remembered their discussion five years prior on Planet Titan. He now understood what Doctor Stange was talking about.
Thanos was ready to place the Power Stone back onto the Nano-Gauntlet on his right hand, until he quickly looked and saw Iron Man running towards him. Thanos then used the Power Stone in his left hand and punched Iron Man in the gut with it. This attack send Iron Man flying yards away, until he crashed into a boulder, back first. Iron Man had never felt such force in his life when the Power Stone touched him. His suit nearly shut down on impact. Afterwards, he fell on his knees and passed out on the ground.
Pepper Pots saw this action and was horrified that her husband might have been killed. "Tony!" she screamed then flew towards Iron Man.
Thanos chuckled at the unconscious Iron Man, then placed the stone onto the Nano-Gauntlet. Thanos yells as his body goes back into shock as he can feel the power of all six Infinity Stones once more. After the power surges through his body again, he stares at Iron Man and Pepper. Tony gains enough consciousness to temporarily wake up to see Thanos with the Nano Gauntlet and all six Infinity Stones wirhin his possession.
Thanos raised his arm up where they can see the Nano-Gauntlet to Iron Man and Pepper's horror. "I am... Inevita-" Unbeknownst to Thanos, Thor had came from behind and amputated Thanos' right arm with Stormbreaker, releasing the Nano-Gauntlet. "AAARHHH!" He screamed in in pain and fell on one knee.
"You are dead!" Thor yelled after amputating Thanos' right arm.
Ebony Maw, who was close by, a few dozen yards had saw Thor amputate Thanos' arm with Stormbreaker. He was horrified of what he had seen. "Master!" He quickly rushed towards his master's help with the intent on killing Thor.
Thanos gained enough consciousness to see Thor swing at him once more. He quickly caught the blade of Stormbreaker with his left hand. Thor pressed down as hard as he could, so Stormbreaker could slash through his hand and chest. Thanos' left hand was bleeding as a result of how sharp Stormbreaker was.
As Thor was trying his best make it where the Stormbreaker blade could touch and pierce Thanos' skull, he's suddenly attacked by big chunks of debris, thrown by Ebony Maw.
Because of Ebony Maw's reckless and careless ness, The Nano-Gauntlet was thrown elsewhere his rampage. He did not mean to move the Gauntlet by throwing debris. He was angered.
Captain America had suddenly woke up two minutes after Thanos knocked him out. He spotted the Nano-Gauntlet lying next to him. He quickly picked up the Nano-Gaunlet and got up onto his feet. He quickly removed Thanos' amputated arm from the Nano-Gaunlet and prepared to put it on. As he was about to wield the power of the Infinity Stones, he could not help but look at his surroundings to see some of his comrades being overwhelmed by enemies, one by one. Such as Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, War Machine, Ant-Man by Thanos' army. His friend, Bucky Barnes was cornered at all sides by Chitari Warriors. He glanced down at the Gauntlet in his hands and chose to make the ultimate sacrifice. He slowly placed the Nano-Gauntlet on his hand. It had shrunk down to fit his hand size. In the next two seconds, Captain America felt a huge strain on his body as he could feel the power of the Infinity Stones coursing through his veins.
Thanos watched in shock as Captain America had placed on the Nano-Gauntlet. His birthright.
Suddenly, Thor and Ebony Maw had stopped fighting for a moment to see Captain America with the Nano-Gauntlet.
Iron Man, who was assisted by his wife had woken up to see Captain America with his Nano-Gauntlet.
Bucky Barnes stared at his long time comrade and bestfriend, as Captain America wielded the Infinity Gauntlet.
Captain America knew he didn't have much time before the power of the Infinity Stones consume him. He uttered a few words towards Thanos, while the power was taking its toll on him. "I'm... just a kid... from Brooklyn." He raised his right hand in the air.
"NO!" Thanos shouted, then rushed towards Captain America at full speed. His left arm was stretched out.
Iron Man and Bucky Barnes knew what Captain America was about to do. "STEVE!"
Captain America slowly closed his eyes, then snapped his fingers. Thanos was eight feet away from reaching Captain America, but it was too late. Everyone paused and the light had blinded everything.
Suddenly, Captain America had awaken within a realm where everything was red. He looked at his body to see that his injuries from battle were gone, the Nano-Gauntlet that he wielded was gone and his mask was completely off. He looked at his surroundings to see no one but a brunette in a dark green dress standing a few yards away from him. A young Peggy Carter.
Captain America remembered what Peggy looked like before he had frozen for decades. "Peggy." Captain America muttered as he stared at her.
"Did you do it?" Peggy asked.
"Yeah." Captain America answered.
"What did it cost you?" Peggy asked as she stood four feet from Captain America.
"Everything." Captain America let a tear fall from his left eye socket.
Back in reality, Rocket was about to be devoured by a large space alien whale. It had turned to dust a split second before its teeth could touch him. Within less than a minute the space ships, and everyone that fought for Thanos were turning into dust. Excluding Gamora from the past.
The Avengers and everyone who fought with them were safe and now watching Thanos' army fall, literally.
Thanos horrifyingly watched his army turn into dust. He saw Ebony Maw reaching out to him.
"I'm sorry..." Ebony Maw muttered before turning into dust.
Thanos just stood and watched as everything around him was disappearing. Two seconds later, his heart begun to beat slower than usual. He realized that he was dying as well. He looked at Iron Man, whom was staring back at him. No words were said. Then Thanos looked over to Thor, who was glaring at him.
'I told you that you would die for that.' Thor had thought in his mind.
Thanos had ultimately sat down at the same spot where he met the Trinity. Thor, Iron Man and Captain America. He panted briefly for ten seconds, until the snap had turned him into complete dust.
Meanwhile, Captain America was lying on a chunk of debris. As a result of using the Nano-Gauntlet, his right side was badly damaged and he was dying. He tried his best to take his final breathes, until he was approached by his lifelong friend, Bucky Barnes.
Bucky had laid a hand on Captain America's right shoulder. He nearly teared up of watching the friend that went to "Hell and back" for him die.
Then all of a sudden, Falcon had appeared. He bent a knee on Captain America's left side as he sadly watched him die.
A moment later, a critically injured Iron Man had slowly approached Captain America, as Bucky and Falcon gave him space.
Captain America glanced towards Iron Man. He could see that Iron Man looked upset in his eyes. "Hey..."
"You did it." Iron Man whispered to Captain America's left ear.
"No... we did it... together. Like we always talked about." Captain America weakly replied as he panted.
"Yeah. You're right. We did it." Iron Man let tears out in front of the dying Captain America. He stood up and gave Captain America space as well.
Captain America panted for another twenty seconds, until he gave his last breath. His arm dropped to the ground, and his body is now lifeless.
The superheroes who knew Captain America had cried. Especially Thor. Other superheroes watched in pity. Spider-Man stood by Iron Man and hugged him for a brief moment.
Ten seconds later, Iron Man had done the national American solute towards the fallen Captain America. After him, it was Spider-Man. Then War Machine. Then Captain Marvel. In another fifteen seconds every hero from different worlds followed after Iron Man and solute to Captain America to honor him as well. Everyone except Gamora, who left the scene.
