Atsuki ran as fast as she could. She felt like someone was chasing her. She ran into a nearby building and hid there, panting. She then remembered what was happening. Those kids from the human school she goes to. They wanted to hurt her, or worse, kill her.
"Where'd the bitch go?!" one shouted.
"I think she ran that way!" another responded. She heard them running in another direction and waited a few minutes to make sure they were gone. Atsuki crept out of her hiding spot and heard music coming from nearby. She walked towards it a recognized the sound. It was Fuyu Nanami's concert. She started walking towards it, entranced by his music. His songs were always a comfort for her in times like this.
She heard honking and tried getting out of the road. That's when someone didn't stop and drove over her body.
She awoke and couldn't see anything. It was pitch black in the room. Was she dead? She tried sitting up, but every muscle in her body ached as she moved them. She decided to lay still and sighed. Was that just a dream? If so, where was she? She closed her eyes and heard someone open a door. She kept her eyes closed and pretended to be asleep
"Has she woken up yet?" a little girl asked.
"I'd be surprised if she has. Having a werewolf heal you exhausts every fiber in your body. She was lucky to be alive when I found her," a man replied. She saw light through her eyelids and felt someone trace her lips with their fingers.
"My Lord? What are you going to do with her?" the girl asked. Atsuki heard the man chuckle.
"She's cute, for a human. I think I'll make her mine," he replied. No matter how sore her muscles were, Atsuki kicked the man and started running. She could see a little now that the man brought some light in. She found a door and ran through it. It lead to a room with double doors on the left, and a grand staircase on the right. She ran through the double doors and found herself outside.
Once outside, she ran to the end of the drive, but was stopped by a small sprite. "You're not allowed to leave without the Lord's permission!" she said. Atsuki recognized the voice. It was the girl from earlier.
"Like hell I won't!" Atsuki exclaimed. She batted the sprite out of her way and kept running until she found a set of gates. They lead to the main road, but it was locked. She pulled out a hairpin and tried picking the lock when she was pulled away but a large, clawed hand. It was a large werewolf with grey fur, purple eyes, and was standing on two legs. It looked pissed.
Atsuki couldn't help but scream when she saw it. Most werewolves don't transform unless you did something to anger them. That's when the sprite showed up again. "My Lord! Please calm down! She had a fairly standard human reaction to waking up in a strange place. Can't you see she was scared?" she said. The werewolf growled at the sprite and picked up Atsuki.
"Put me down! I need to get home!" Atsuki yelled.
"You are home. And you won't try to escape again!" the werewolf growled.
The werewolf brought her to a room with pink walls and bedspread. Atsuki wasn't a big fan of pink to begin with, but this crossed her limits. He put her down and left, locking the door behind him. The sprite sighed and shook her head. "What are we going to do with him? He really doesn't understand humans," she muttered. Atsuki looked around. There was a balcony that lead outside, but it was so high up that she'd probably die if she fell.
The sprite saw where she was looking and forced Atsuki to look at her. "Don't even think about it. You were lucky enough the Lord spared your life after the little outburst you had. Just behave and accept this place as your new home," she said.
"This will never be my home! I'm not a toy that some random person can claim! I will leave this place if it's the last thing I do!" Atsuki yelled. The sprite growled and tried slapping Atsuki's cheek, but her hands were so small she barely did any damage.
"If I wasn't so small, you'd have your ass kicked by now! Stop acting like a spoiled child!" the sprite exclaimed. Atsuki felt she had enough arguing with the small creature and grabbed her with one hand.
"Hey! You let me go this instant!" she yelled. Atsuki opened the balcony door and threw the sprite outside. Her wings immediately started flapping as she tried righting herself. Atsuki closed the doors and locked them to keep the sprite out. She closed the curtains and sat on the bed. Back home, everything she owned was either black or white. Even her clothes were black and white. She sighed and laid down and started to cry.
Why must she have to deal with this? She was practically kidnapped by a werewolf. She doubted anyone would help her because of their status. Eventually, she fell asleep.
Fuyu heard everything from Atsuki's room. He knew he was too harsh, but he didn't care. Atsuki shouldn't have tried hurting him and running away. She was his now and he wouldn't let anyone else touch her. He walked by her door and heard her crying softly. It melted his heart hearing her cry, but he had to keep his composure. He was a werewolf. He shouldn't be as breakable as a human.
