Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: One Mystery Two Cases

It was still late and everyone's house lights were off. She was hopping the old man that worked at the shop was still there working on the way to New Jersey.

She finally arrived at the shop. The door was wide open.

She walking in slowly through the doorway. "Hello?! Anyone here?!" She shouted as she slowly walked through the shop, looking around.

She had finally turning on the lights. She looked around once more finally being able to actually see the place. She walked slowly in the back room and was shocked to find the old man dead, blood all over the floor. It looked like the poor old man had been shot in the head three times in the same spot. But not to her surprise, there was a letter that had read.

"Well...well...well. My little girl finally discovered the trick I had played on you with poor Jason's death. I saw it on the news five times now. I'm sure you now know that the blood is actually his father's. Well I took care of Joseph when your strong wild wind powers blow him straight back to me. He disappointed me so I had to end the deal with him.

Oh and if you're wondering, the old man's death is not a set up. I know your upset at me but you knew what was coming. Don't worry, I'll spare Adam's life a bit longer. He seems to be a good cheat sheet to help you. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that Jason is no longer in my grasp. But he's not doing to well. The clock is ticking dear Autumn. You better hurry before I take someone else's life. And this time it won't be someone you love the most. It will be an unguilty citizen and it would be all your fault if they die.

Love your dear father,

Kingdom King

P.S.-- I'll see you soon, my dear daughter"

Autumn didn't know what to do. But at that moment she had put the letter in her coat pocket of where the other note was. Then she had called Adam and told him where she was. Five minutes later Autumn saw him drive into the empty parking lot.

"Autumn are you ok?!" He asked coming through the door.

Autumn nodded her head. But then she had pointed to the dead body.

"What the hell happened here?" He asked with a surprised face walking slowly to the body.

Then he turned around.

"Autumn....di.....did you do this? Did you kill him?" Adam asked scared of the answer.

"Hell no! Why the hell would I kill an old man?!" She shouted with a scared face.

"Ok ok. I'm sorry. Just calm down Please." Adam said.

"How can I calm down! Jason's death was a fake! But this poor old man is really dead!! A lake of blood on the floor!" Autumn shouted in fear and shock.

"How do you know he's really dead Autumn? He might just be a fake." He said looking at the old man, still lying cold on the floor.

"He's dead! I know it!" Autumn shouted.

"And how exactly do you know?" He asked looking back at her

"I know because I got..." She hesitated.

Autumn knew she had to tell him the truth. If she didn't she could possibly go to jail. If she did, who knows if he would believe her.

"Autumn just tell me what's wrong. You don't have to hide anything. You can trust me." Adam said comforting her.

"Ok. I'll tell you everything." She said with a soft but scared voice.

Autumn took out the note and the letter that she had found. One on Jason's fake body, and the other on the old man's body. She handed them to Adam. He had read them quietly to himself. The ambulance had come to pick up the old man's body. Adam and Autumn sat in his police car as the men were doing the job.

"Autumn why didn't you tell me about these hurtful and terrible threats?" He asked folding the paper's back up.

"I'm sorry. I just didn't want to get anyone else hurt. My father played with me and my feelings. He trying to get me to join him but I don't want to. But if I don't the whole town could be at risk." She said upset at herself.

"Autumn listen. I need to tell you something. Something that might just make sense." He said giving Autumn back the letter and note.

"Ok?" She said

Adam took a deep breathe than spoke once more.

"I know who this killer is. I know you said he's your father. But he's actually from another...planet. You see. This man's name on this earth is Oliver, I found out not to long ago. But his real name is Kingdom King. But he was never...fair. I have no idea why he would come to earth or why he would want you. But I'm from one of the five kingdoms, Wind Kingdom. I got off my planet a long time ago to live this normal life as an officer. But once a friend of mine, now dead, had told me about Kingdom Kings plan I needed to go back. Of course I wasn't able to at that time because by the time we had found a way. The planet gotten destroyed. Before my friend had died he told me something. He said something about four girls with unbelievable power. But I didn't really understand what that meant." He said with a thinking face.

Autumn had thought of what he said. And then out of nowhere she just started to laugh.

"What's wrong? Or should I say what's so funny?" Adam asked with a confused face.

Autumn had held in her laughter and took a deep breathe "Well I know exactly what your talking about. The four sisters your friend was talking about. I'm one of them. Each sister including me were born if very special and strong powers of fire, water, earth, and wind." She said calmly.

"Wow, I had no idea you were one of the four sisters." He said in shock.

"Yes. Each sister was suppose to be leaders of each kingdom. But my father started a war between all of the Element Kingdoms." She said looking through the window.

"So which element power do you have?" He asked, wondering.

"I was supposed to lead the Wind Kingdom actually." She said turning her head to face him.

"Wait really?" He asked surprised.

"Yes. My special power is Wind." She said.

"Wow. I'm glad I met you. We haven't had a leader in years honestly." He said sitting back in his seat.

"Adam. I have a mission. A mission or let's say a future of bringing my three sisters together and fight my father to the battle of life and death. If I don't kill him no one will be around to do themselves, not even you. My father will destroy this world like he did ours." She said with a serious face.

"Yeah. I'm sorry. You have a future thing and I shouldn't get in the way of that." Adam said looking a bit upset.

"That's not what I meant. I'm just saying I have a lot on my plate. I never said you were in my way. Your helping a lot. You telling me that your apart of the wind kingdom was super helpful. And I thank you for that." She said smiling at him friendly.

They both know that with the information that Adam had told her, they were getting much closer. They had no idea they had much alike. But the only difference is that even if they both know each other so well, they could only be partners for a case. They still live in a world who not everyone knows who they really are.
