Chapter 1 - The cursed castle

The castle towers stood tall in the dark night sky. The Castle throws a huge shadow on the overgrown garden. Everything is quiet then suddenly a loud squeaking noise is heard. The huge iron gate gets opened up and four People walk through. They all are dressed in black clothes and one of them carries a black backpack. A Boy with short blond hair looks up at one of the broken windows. Then he hears the voice of his best friend that is standing next to him now." Do you think we will find a ghost here?"The boy that goes by the Name of Tommy turns to the side and meets the brown eyes of his best friend." Alex you know that i don't believe in ghosts. I'm only here because i like exploring abandoned buildings. " Alex turned his gaze toward the castle. " I know you don't believe it, but imagine how cool it would be if we could get proof of a real ghost. We'll be famous and get in all the papers. "Tommy smiled as he listened to Alex talk about it." Maybe you'll get possessed by a ghost, too. That would definitely make a cool picture for the paper out of it." Alex rolled his eyes and punched Tommy in the shoulder." I don't want to interrupt your nice conversation, but if we want to find any ghosts today, maybe we should go to the castle. The two boys turned in the direction of the amused female voice. Their other companions are standing right in front of the door, which is already open. The person who had just spoken was a girl with blond, short hair that went down to her chin. Some strands of hair covered her green-blue eyes. She was standing next to a girl with shoulder-length red hair. The red-haired girl was smaller and had a wiry figure. The two boys went over to the girls." Hey Miriam, did you take the night vision camera? Alex asked. The girl with blonde hair, who was named Miriam, took a backpack and took out a big black camera. Alex nodded contentedly and turned to Rose, the girl with the red hair. Did you bring all the items for the ritual? Rose nodded. "Yes I took everything. Shall we go inside now and have a look at everything?" The other three nodded and they entered the large entrance hall. The castle looked like it came straight out of a horror movie. There was a spider's web at every corner and the floor was covered with a thick layer of dust. The red and gold carpet had long since yellowed. The air was stuffy and stale. On the wall hung 4 paintings. A woman with long brown hair and soft brown eyes smiling down at the visitors. She was wearing a red dress, which has long gone out of fashion. Next to her hung the painting of a man in a black old-fashioned suit. He had brown hair that was strictly combed back. His gaze seemed cold and 'unfeeling. The two paintings below were of two children. A boy and a girl. They both looked like they were about ten or eleven years old. The girl had chin-length brown years and a broad smile on her face. Her eyes were sparkling with joy and she seemed to be looking more at the person behind the camera. The boy next to her had brown curly hair and a similar facial expression to the girl. Tommy stepped closer and read the names, which are attached to small gilded plates underneath. The woman's name was Elizabeth van Sayn, the man's name was Henry and the names of the two children were Luis and Eleonore. Tommy got a strange feeling while looking at the paintings. As if the people in the paintings were staring at him.Tommy shook off the strange feeling and turned his back on the paintings. He opened a heavy door that led him into a large room. There are several paintings hanging on the wall and a large wooden table is in the middle. Just like in the entrance hall, there was an old tattered carpet and the walls are covered with cobwebs". This must have been the dining room." Tommy turned and saw Miriam who had entered the room. The girl with the blonde hair went in his direction and took a good look at the room." The other two are in one of the bedrooms upstairs. If you believe the internet this is the room where most ghostly apparitions occur. Are we going upstairs too? Tommy nodded and the two teenagers walked up the stairs which made a creaking sound with each step. The door to the bedroom was wide open. The two teenagers entered the room. Rose stood in front of the window and looked down on the city. Alex had put his backpack on the floor and was looking for something. The walls used to be blue but the color has long since flaked off. The only pieces of furniture are a bed and a dresser." Rose's voice broke the silence. This is supposed to be the room where the countess was murdered. Alex put his backpack next to him and sat down on the floor. Tell us again what happened. The boy sat down on the carpet and waved the others over to sit down. Tommy sat down right next to him so that their shoulders and legs touched. The blond hairy boy noticed Alex staring at him, but he did not return his gaze. Miriam and Rose sat down opposite them. Miriam put one arm over Rose's shoulders and then the red haired girl began to tell them the terrible story that had happened in this castle many years ago.

A long time ago when the castle was still inhabited by the Count's family, Elizabeth van Sayn entered the master bedroom and looked through the large window. She smiled and stroked her hand over her stomach. One week ago her baby was born. They now had three children and everything was perfect. The door opened and a smile spread over the Countess's face. She knew that her husband had entered the room. A little later she was embraced from behind and a deep voice began to speak. The baby is sleeping right now. Have you decided on a name yet?" Elizabeth shook her head and turned around. She laid her head on her husband's shoulder. I still can't decide. There are so many beautiful names and I don't know what name to give our daughter. Well we still have enough time. Eleonore and Luis would like to take a walk into the city by the way. A maid is taking care of the baby. Will you come with us?" Elisabeth nodded and gave her husband a kiss before getting ready for the walk. Her life was perfect right now, but what--she didn't know is that it won't be perfect for long. The next day, as the raindrops hit the window, Elizabeth and Henry were awakened by a baby's cries. The two parents go into the room where their child is. Elizabeth gave her baby the bottle and Henry took care of Eleonore and Luis who were woken by the crying. When she put the baby back into the manger, she rubbed her eyes. The baby, who was named Amanda, cried more and more often and more often lately. A doctor has already examined her and found that Amanda is healthy. She has no reason to cry so often. Elizabeth and Henry do not know what to do. Henry gets more and more annoyed and angry lately. Elizabeth turned around and went back to her bedroom. Later at 1:00 midnight she was woken by her son Luis. He whispered in a frightened voice. "Mommy come quick. Something is wrong with Daddy. He had a knife in his hand." Elizabeth straightened up, turned on the light switch and looked into her son's frightened eyes. She flinched when she heard a loud noise. A strange feeling formed in her stomach and she stood up. Elizabeth leaned down and whispered to her son that he had to be quiet. They left the room and crept to the children's room where Eleonore was sitting on her bed. She looks like she is close to tears and Elizabeth gave her a hug. She took her children down to the kitchen and told them to hide in the pantry. Then she goes back up the stairs. With each step as she gets closer to Amanda's room, the worse the feeling in her stomach got. The room door is half open and an eerie silence The room door is half open and an eerie silence spreads. Elizabeth reached out her trembling hand and opened the door. She let out a loud scream as she saw the terrible scenario before her.
