" Maria? " To say Jake was surprised would be an understatement. He was confused, shocked, scared and a lot more.
Maria on the other hand was still processing the situation.
" You are here boss. " The person who had removed Maria's blindfold moved forward, bowing at Jake.
" What? " Jake stared at him and moved forward to untie her but the man pulled him outside the room.
" What is going on? Why is she here? " Jake pushed the man against the wall and gripped his collar tightly.
" What are you saying? Boss. " The man smirked.
Jake raised her fist to punch him but before he could, a hard object strikes with the back of his head. The excruciating pain shot from the back of his head and travelled to the front, he stumbled and gave the man a chance to knee him in the face.
He fell backwards and groaned. A cloth was placed on his nose making him lose consciousness.
