Chapter 7 - The Little Sister Chapter

War.

War sometimes does change.

Alex, Luna, and President were on a boat, along with several soldiers who were silently praying, admiring the ocean, or shaking uncontrollably as they tried to calm themselves down.

"So it's finally come to this, huh?" Alex held his rifle against his chest, unsure if he could make it out alive of this battle.

"Alex, my boy, don't be afraid. This is what you've been training for all day."

"No, I'm pretty sure I need more than just a day before going to war..."

"Well, leaving that aside!" Luna intervened. Her military uniform was all pink and her helmet had a neon sign that read 'Soldier Slayer'. "It's not like this is hard or anything. Just storm the beach, take cover, aim with your rifle to soldiers who are close to you, steal a sniper rifle from a corpse, throw some grenades behind their cover, keep your head down, use your pistol if you need to reload and you're cornered, maybe even grab a corpse and use it as a shield. You know, the basics!"

"I'm really concerned about your lack of respect for the dead. Also, I already forgot half of what you said."

"Tch, scrub." retorted Luna as she checked her ammo.

"They had their chance," said The President, as a single tear appeared from under his glasses. "We all did, didn't we...Jim?"

Before Alex could ask who Jim was, they heard a trumpet playing near them. They had finally arrived. Their mission: to steal the enemy flag and keep it for at least 60 seconds. They each had only one life. It was 100 soldiers against 100 hidden enemies. It was do or die. Kill or be killed.

The club members stood up, waiting for the signal to begin the mission.

"Gentlemen, it is an honor to battle next to you". The President wiped his tear. His face showing nothing but determination.

"Forgive me, Lord, for I am about to sin..." said Luna as she looked at the sky. She was smiling. Her body ached for the blood of her enemies. Blood for the Blood God.

The Blood God being herself.

"Just kill me already..." said Alex as he tried to remember how to reload a rifle.

They heard a hundred voices echo in the distance. It was their signal.

"STORM THE FRONT!" they yelled and started running towards the enemy.

It was no man's land that day.

It was hell on Earth.

It was...war.

A few minutes later, at the Weeb Club room.

"Seriously Alex, why did you get shot before even getting off the boat? Talk about being a virgin loser...". Luna was in a terrible mood, devouring a whole bag of chips by herself.

"I'm sorry, ok? And being a virgin has nothing to do with me being shot! I'm not a virgin tho!"

"All you had to do was follow the damn trail, CJ!"

"Who the hell is that?!"

Luna chugged down an entire bottle of lemon tea, as if it was a whole glass of beer, and pointed directly at Alex. "What's the number one rule of the Weeb Club?!"

"Eh? We have rules?"

"That's right! Always win, no matter what! If you gotta risk your life, then so be it. If you're getting shot from everywhere, then make your own shield! If your teammate needs help, heal them! And if everything seems lost, before falling to your death, take your enemy with you down to hell!"

"...ah, right." Alex decided to just leave Luna do her drunk banter by herself. "By the way, how come you're not telling President anything? He also died pretty early."

Luna and Alex looked at the President. He was on the floor, wearing a virtual reality helmet on his head.

"I know he likes to immerse himself in these virtual games but isn't pretending to be dead in real life a little too much?"

"What are you talking about, Alex? You hit him with your controller when you died. Look, he's even bleeding."

"..."

"..."

The President was, indeed, bleeding. After panicking for 15 minutes without knowing what to do, they finally decided to call a teacher.

*******************************************************************

"I'm home." Alex entered his house. "Man, my whole body feels stiff. VR sure takes a toll on your body, huh? Maybe I just exercise more...yeah, this Monday for sure". As he convinced himself of the most ancient lie in society, he heard footsteps coming from upstairs.

"Alex!"

A girl a few years younger than Alex came down the stairs rapidly. Her face brimming with pure joy and her long hair waving in the air as she jumped and hugged Alex.

"You're so late today! You dummy, why didn't you call?! I texted you all day and you didn't answer! Did you install those gacha games again? I'll tell dad, you know! You still haven't paid him!"

"I told you not to say the g-word!". His bones cracked. His whole body ached in pain as the little girl squeezed him harder and harder. "Ah ah aahhhh Karen! Karen please, not so hard! M-m-my spine! It's gonna break!". She grabbed her by the arms and separated himself from her.

Karen.

Alex's little sister. The self-proclaimed "Biggest And Most Caring And Amazing Alex Lover In The World". Ever since birth, she had had a peculiar interest in her older brother. As a baby, she would cry whenever Alex wasn't nearby. She would demand to take baths every night with him until Alex entered puberty and told her they should stop. Convincing her took 3 months.

The Alex Blog.

The Alex Vlog.

The Alex TokTok.

The Alex BiriBiri.

These were all accounts handled by her little sister ever since Alex started growing more physically distant. She had close to 50 petabytes of files, all dedicated to her beloved big brother.

"Gee, Alex! There you go again, not letting me hug your body! I thought we had agreed on a minimum of 5 minutes. Rude!"

"We did not agree on anything!"

Karen pouted childishly and asked. "Then, what is it? Did you get into a fight defending a group of girls who were being mugged by delinquents?"

"...please stop reading manga."

"I've been into fanfics recently..."

"I don't wanna know!". Alex lifted his arms in anger, but his muscles screamed in pain. He calmed himself down and sighed. "Anyway, things just happened at the club today and I'm tired, ok? I'll go have a bath and then we can have dinner. Be a good kid until then."

"The club...". Karen's eyes disappeared in a shadow under her hair.

Yes, the club.

The Weeb Club.

Ever since her dear brother had joined that club, things had become hell.

Alex would get home later than usual thanks to the activities.

He had accumulated a debt larger than the national debt of Italy thanks to the games he had gotten recommended by his clubmates.

One weekend, he disappeared and came back on Monday evening looking like a ghost and talking to an anime girl. From that day, Karen could hear her brother talking to a poster of said girl from behind the wall (her favorite pastime). "Why aren't you real, Sacchan? Why? I just don't get it..."

"Why does Alex need a 2D girl? He has me!" Karen would think every night. "Unbelievable! He has the cutest and most caring little sister in the world, and he looks at other girls?"

"Say, brother...". Karen stopped Alex before he started going upstairs. Her eyes had become red with an anger that could petrify even the bravest demons and with a calm yet terrifying cold voice, she asked, "you've been getting late quite often these days, haven't you? Hey...is someone bullying you at school? Or perhaps at the club? Did someone say anything to you? Did someone steal your money? Did they call you names? Did they touch in weird places? Did they write insults in your textbooks and table? Did they throw away your lunch? Did they write your name on the whiteboard with a big DIE! written next to it? Did they lock you up at the bathroom? Did they put a leash on you, undress you and make you walk on the hallways on all fours while you were barking like a dog in pain? Hey, Alex. Hey? Hey? Hey?! Did they? Did they or not? What did they do? Tell me. Alex, tell me. I want to know. I kneed to know. You need to tell me. You must tell me. Hey. Alex. Hey. Just tell me. I'll make sure they pay. They won't see their families again. They'll be a good dinner for the fish. Alex. Alex. Tell me. Who is it? Who did this to you? Eh? Do I need to call the russians again? Maybe the italians would be faster? Or maybe I just need a bat and a rope? Dad still has that shovel. How many caskets? Are they men? Women? How many, huh? Alex. Just tell me. Stop being quiet and just tell me goddamnit!"

"..."

"..."

Silence.

Karen looked at her brother's confused face and realized what she had done. She started shaking. "Oh no, Alex must hate me now...". Tears started slowly falling from her eyes.

Alex looked at his sister and said;

"...Sorry, did you say something? I had to wear headphones at the club and those gun noises were loud, I still can't hear pretty well haha..." Alex started hitting the side of his head, trying to clean the imaginary water on his ears, as he saw how Karen rapidly cleaned her face and smiled.

"Nah, it's nothing really! Just take a bath and we'll eat dinner!"

"Well, if it isn't important. Be right back, then."

Karen thanked God her brother hadn't heard anything.

"But man, seriously, that Luna..." started Alex.

Luna?

"...she always does these kinds of things. She'll break my body one of these days, I swear..."

Luna.

Body.

Break.

Luna is breaking Alex's body.

A girl is breaking my brother's body.

A girl.

A female.

A female girl is seduing my dear brother and breaking his pure body.

That girl.

That girl has to pay.

That girl is an eyesore

That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl. That girl.

Luna.

And then, something snapped inside Karen's very core. She went upstairs and locked herself in her room.

*Karen's Room! Do Not Enter!* said a sign on her door.

Inside, every square inch of every wall was covered in pictures of Alex.

Karen turned on her PC and her 6 monitors lit up at once.

Wallpapers of Alex.

A recording of Alex talking to her played from her headphones.

"This will not do, Alex..." her eyes were gazing at the abyss itself.

Her hands moved at sonic speed as she logged into Alex's school's homepage and cut thorugh every firewall with ease.

"This will totally not do, brother...". She started biting her nails and tapping her feet.

And eventually, she reached it.

Luna's student profile, only to be seen by the higher ups at school (including herself).

"So this is that woman's face, huh?" She printed her picture and nailed it to a wall, as if she was trying to crucify her. "Looks like Alex's cute and adorable little sister has to visit the Weeb Club tomorrow...hehe....ahahaha...AHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!"

Days until Luna dies a horrible death: 1.

...well, it's not that kind of story tho!
