ON THE ROOFTOP
Anna was seated on the roof then she cast an invisibility spell to make her invisible. Nick was using his wolf senses to track her. He could smell she was close but he couldn't see her so he knew she had cast an invisibility spell. He changed his eyesight to that of an owl and began looking around. He found her seated on the rooftop, transformed into an owl, flew and perched beside her. He realized she was crying. He tries to soothe her
"I'm sorry. Elle shouldn't have said those words." Anna looks down at the owl in surprise
"I thought I was invisible?"
Nick smiled before answering
"You are. It was difficult locating you."
Anna thoughtfor a while
"I wanna be alone Nick."
"I'm not leaving you Anna."
Nick transformed to his normal self and Anna made herself visible. After, she looks at him and frowns
"Don't try to be stubborn. Please go"
"Not leaving you."
Anna gave up fighting and sighs before speaking
"You don't believe what Elle said, do you?"
Nick looks into his girlfriend's eyes before answering
"She was just saying stuff. She doesn't mean them."
Anna rolls her eyes before sarcastically saying
"I'm sure she doesn't."
"Okay.. e'm.. even if she meant them I don't believe in what she said. I know you love me and I love you to."
Anna nods and speaks
"Nick... You're on my side. That's not fair to Elle. She'll feel neglected."
"I'm not choosing sides Anna. I'm on the fence. I'd love it if you both got along."
Anna looks away before responding
"I don't know Nick. I can't promise you either."
Nick pulled Anna into his arms before speaking
"1 4 3?"
Anna smirks and answers
"I love you too."
They kissed after, Nick spoke
"Were you trying to burn down the whole institute?" Anna looks surprised but answers once she realizes what Nick was talking about
"No. I was pissed at Elle. I needed to burn something." Nick nods in understanding before speaking
"It was unexpected. It scared the shit out of me."
Anna giggled. Nick teleported them to their room and they kissed and....

IN THE DEVIL WORLD
"Hello Stephen."
Stephen looked up and realized it was Elle
"Hello guardian. What a surprise. Are you here to hand over the sapphire?"
Elle rolls her eyes before speaking
"Nah, I don't have it but I have something you want." Stephen became interested. He rubs his chin and speaks
"What do you have that I want?" Elle smiles once she realized he was interested
"Mary's daughter. I'll hand her over to you." Stephen smiles and looked Elle in the eyes
"You hate and like her. I can see it in your eyes." Elle looked confused
"What do you mean by that?"
"It simply means you're good but you're trying to be bad. In other words, you're trying to hate Loren but you can't." Elle shrugs before heading to the exit
"I don't believe you. I'm leaving." Stephen calls after her
"Believe what you want but that is the truth."
"Whatever."
Elle left

IN THE GUARDIAN INSTITUTION
The guardians were in the middle of a meeting. Their senior guardian was investigating what had happened earlier. She looks at everyone before giving her attention to Anna.
"Why did you burn the curtains Anna?" Anna shrugs her shoulders before answering
"I was...pissed senior." Raven looks at the other guardians before she continues
"What made you pissed?" Anna tries to come up with a convincing lie
"I... I was... mad at Nick." Raven looked at Nick in surprise
Nick who was caught off guard gave Anna a surprised look and she smirked. Raven clears her throat and questions Nick
"Nick what did you do to make Anna that mad for her to set the curtains ablaze?" Nick stammers
"I... I.. told Anna's... secret to Roland?" Roland gasps but controls himself. Raven eyeroll and gives Nick the don't- you- dare- lie- to- me- look
"Oh really? Nick I know you're lying to me. Tell me the truth. What happened in the cafeteria? Do you all realize she could have burnt down the institute? Do you?"
Everyone looked remorseful. Loren decided to apologize on Anna's behalf
"E'm Senior? She didn't mean to. She's sorry."
Raven now noticed Loren was in the room. She began studying her. After a while,
"Mary?" Roland answers
"She's Mary's daughter, Loren." Raven smiles
"She sure looks like her mom....Where's Mary if her daughter's here?" Loren's face fell before she answers
"She's gone. Some devil stabbed her." Raven became remorseful
"Oh, I'm sorry Loren...." Loren nods in understanding. Raven gives her attention back to Anna
"Anna don't try that again, Okay?" Anna was about answering when Elle walked in Everyone's attention went to her. Raven Spoke bringing the attention back to her
"The meeting is adjourned and Elle, meet me in my office."
"Okay senior."
Raven left. Nick stood up and got closer to his sister
"Elle..."
Elle didn't respond and walked out of the room. Nick wanted to go after her but Loren stopped him
"Don't Nick. She's meeting with Raven first then I'll speak to her." Nick didn't want to give in but Roland spoke out
"Loren's right Nick." He nods in understanding before exiting the room.
Minutes later...

IN ELLE'S ROOM
Elle was buried in thought when she heard a knock
"Come on in."
Some one entered and Elle realized it was Loren. She looks at Loren in surprise before speaking
"You? Does Nick hate me so much that he didn't come to see me?" Loren gets closer before answering
"He doesn't Elle. Actually, I wanted to speak with you first." Elle looks away before speaking
"What do you want to say?"
Loren got closer to Elle and sat beside her on the bed. She clears her throat and thought for a while. After, she speaks
"I know you're upset and you do not like me." Elle responds coldly
"Yeah why?" Loren chooses her words carefully
"If it is about Roland I..." Elle interrupts
"It is about him. Tell me what I did wrong? We wouldn't even be happy if we had gotten married."
Loren was surprised at what Elle said. Elle realized Loren's reaction and continues
"Yes Loren I meant what I said. I did him a favor yet he won't even look me in the eye much less talk to me. I lost my best friend due to the decision I made a year ago. I was his best friend Loren but he hates me now for embarrassing him."
Loren looks at Elle with concern
"Why didn't you tell him how you felt?"
Elle thought for a while
"I was scared of how he'll react. I was scared of losing him besides I realized the love I felt was platonic. I adore him as a brother. I tried explaining why I chickened out but he ignored me because he fucking hates me. Everyone in the institute ended up hating me including Anna. She ignored me and I ended up hating her and everyone else. I hated the way Anna made my brother happy. I was jealous I couldn't make Roland laugh much less smile."
Tears flowed down Loren's cheeks
"You came out of no where and won all their hearts especially Roland. He was my best friend and I hated the fact he ignored me but would talk and laugh with you."
Loren smiles before speaking
"I'll speak to everyone on your behalf. You are lonely. I feel sad to see you like this whiles everyone's happy. Come on. Let's head downstairs."
Loren stood up and gives her hand out to Elle. She hesitates a little before placing her hand in Loren's. They headed downstairs

DOWNSTAIRS
Everyone was seated when Loren enteres with Elle. Anna sees them and looks away. Elle sees her reaction and became sadder than she already is. Anna gets up and heads to the exit
"Excuse me I have something important to attend to."
Anna left. Loren tries to draw attention to herself.
"Everyone please listen to what Elle has to say."
"I already know what you want to say"
Loren looks at Roland in surprise
"How?" Elle answers
"He has the power of vision."
Loren nods in understanding
"Okay."
Elle gets closer to Roland
"I'm sorry for behaving the way I did. "
Roland smiles
"I understand Elle. I'm supposed to be sorry. You tried to tell me but I didn't listen. To come to think of it, you did the right thing. So we're cool?"
"Yeah." Elle smiles
"I need to go find Anna." Loren joins Roland
"I'll come with you."
"Sure come on."
Roland left with Loren
Elle got closer to her brother
"I'm sorry Nick. I was rude, selfish and naughty."
Nick thought for a while before speaking
"I don't know what to say Elle. I'm really mad at you. If mom were to be alive, she'll be mad to. You really hurt my girlfriend."
"And I said I'm sorry."
Elle cries harder. Nick was mad but he felt bad for his sister. He pulls her into an embrace and speaks
"I'm sorry for being hard on you."
"You have all the right to be."
"You need to apologize to my girlfriend."
Elle nods in understanding
"Sure."

IN THE TECH ROOM
Anna was working then she felt her brother's presence. She turns around and sees Loren beside Roland. She stands up in a haste and she meets her brother's gaze. She looks away and makes her way to the other exit. Roland calls after her
"Anna wait."
She makes her self invisible and exits the room. He curses under his breath
"Damn it!. Come on Lore"
AT THE POOLSIDE
Roland and Loren uses the exits and ends up at the poolside. Roland feels his sister's presence and knew she was around. He controls the water in pool to raise like a wave. Suddenly the water moves towards one of the summer chairs and splashes on it. Both Loren and Roland heard a girly scream. Anna becomes visible and she was soaking wet. Anna gives her brother an evil glare whiles speaking.
"You ruined me. I'm soaking wet now. Roland smiles
"Sorry sis. I miss pranking you." Anna sighs and smirks
"You asked for it."
Anna snaps her finger and suddenly, Roland's pants was on fire. Roland screams like a girl and jumps into the pool. Anna and Loren burst out laughing
"It isn't funny." Roland looks at the girls and pouts and Loren smiles
"You fucking screamed like a girl."
Anna and Loren laughs harder. Roland decides to tell Anna why they're after her.
"We wanted to speak to you about Elle."
Roland uses water magic to lift himself out of the pool and Anna stopped laughing. Her expression changes
"You really know how to ruin someone's mood. What do you have to say? Say it quickly, I have things to do." Loren stammers
"Elle's... sorry. She didn't... mean what she said." Anna cocks an eyebrow
"I'm sure she didn't." Roland speaks
"Give her a second chance." Anna thinks for a while
"I don't know Roland. I don't trust her. What happened to you anyways. You above all people defending her?" Loren comes to Roland's defense
"Roland and Elle weren't meant to be."
Roland and Anna smirks. Loren looked at them with a mild expression. She realizes why they were looking at her that way. She tries defending herself
"I didn't mean it that way. Elle did that with good intentions." Roland smiles
"She wanted the best for me. She knew we wouldn't last long." Loren gives Anna the puppy eyes
"Forgive her, please."
Anna looked away before giving a response
"I'll think about it. I have work to do." Roland speaks
" You aren't being honest."
Anna looked at him and gave her brother a sad smile.
"You know me too well."
"You couldn't look at me in the eye before saying so." Anna releases the breath she was holding and sighs
"I'll talk to Elle when I'm free."
After, she walked away leaving Loren with Roland. He tries to clear the air
"Do you know how to use a sword Loren?"
"I don't think so."
"Come on, I'll teach you."
"Why do I have to learn. We aren't going hunting are we?" Roland smirks
" The next meeting we'll have, we're going to Mary's apartment to search for the sapphire." Loren speaks sarcastically
"Yah right. You saw that didn't you?" Roland smiles
"Yes I have the vision tattoo." Loren thought for a while before speaking
"You need to have a tattoo before you have powers?" Roland nods
"Yes. Everyone in the institute have."
"Can I get a tattoo to?"
"It appears on it own. It means you're a guardian but still a mortal."
"I wonder when I'll have my tattoo?"
"Soon I guess. Come on let's go practice."
