I open my eyes as I receive the notification saying that it is time for me to take action. How long have I been asleep? I wave my hand and a translucent window with a lot of information on it appears in front of me. Apparently I have been sleeping for nearly 5000 years.
- Well shall we start? This should be interesting.
I start running my hand on a Keyboard that only I can see and a myriad of windows like the previous one appear.

[ Launching beta version of World phase 2.
Every living being will receive a systeme.
A rank will be granted based on the order in which one receives the system.
The higher the rank is the better the system will be. ]
[ The system granting process will last approximately a human's week. ]
[ After that the beta will start and last two human's month. ]
Tons of other messages like these appear before I press a last key and say.
- Now let's see what will happen.
Nissa POV:
What should I do? How is it even possible?
My brain is a clompet mess as I walk restlessly in my room.
- I can't go outside or else some psycho will turn me into a test subject. If I tell my friend will they consider me as a monster and try to kill me?
Stop right there will you? I know exactly what you're thinking. You think that I am overreacting that I watch too many movies, don't you? Well... you might not be wrong about it, but I bet not a single one of you did wake up in the morning only to find himself with a tail and cat-like ears. And if perchance you did, your reaction might have been close to what I'm doing right now if not worse. anyway back to the main topic. I have no idea of what to do.
I spend a bit more time thinking and in the end decides to fake illness and stay locked in my room. At last this way I will have more time to think on what to do next.
- Okay Nissa, think what might have caused you to turn like that. You did nothing to anger the god of fate right?
I stop my thoughts as I finally hear good news. My brother is speaking on the phone and it appears that he will spend the weekend with his friends. My parents are currently on a trip for their work: they are journalists; so it means that I'm going to be alone for the weekend.
Unfortunately, I ended up finding nothing by the end of the weekend except that I can make a window like the one in STO appear. This window shows my stats, my race, my class, my skills and a few other things. I'm starting to wonder if I'm being crazy. I barely slept during the weekend. I continued to fake illness to skip school on Monday. Right now it is Monday afternoon and the classes are ending. My friends are going to bombard me with questions and I don't know what I will tell them. I flinch as my phone starts vibrating. Well I didn't expect a call, guess it's even worse than messages. As soon as I pick up my phone I hear the worried voices of both Ryan and Thia.
- Are you okay Nissa? Did something happen? they shout at the same time.
They seem a little bit too worried from me skipping school just one day. I'm starting to wonder what is making them this worried.
- What do you mean? I have just skipped school for one day and you act as if some terrorist just kidnaped me. I ask them
- Wait, you didn't hear the news? All the media are speaking about it. Ryan answer
- Speaking about what? I ask eagerly
I'm getting more and more curious about what is going on.
- During the last two days people have been turning into some subspecies of human. Some of them have been going on rampage since then. says Thia, not letting Ryan answer. That's why we were worried. There are elves, beastkind...
- What! I'm not the only one! I cut her before realizing that I said out loud that I have been transformed.
- OMG you've been transformed too?!
- Well, yes...
- That is amazing! Hang on we're coming right now. Ryan shouts excitedly.
About five minute later I hear them knocking on the door. I hesitate a bit but as I hear them knocking fiercely again I decide to go open the door. As I open the door I see both of them staring at me agape.
- Wow! that's something, don't you think Thia?
- You're sooooo cute !!!
Thia jumps on me and begins to stroke my ears. Guess I've been worrying myself for nothing.
- Stop that I'm not your pet. I let out in an embarrassed tone.
I don't want to admit that I feel amazing from Thia stroking my ears. I sigh as I feel relieved from all the stress that I accumulated during the weekend. It appears that my friends don't mind the fact that I became a cat-girl.
Oh! I almost forgot. With my transformation came this.
