Synopsis
For about maybe 365 days ago, the first zombies appeared on earth. Yet we have no idea how they appeared, some believe they were made by scientists who didn’t have control. And other believes it’s a way off telling us to stop contamination of earth. The government gave out a messages telling everyone to stay inside, but honestly that wouldn’t be helping us at all, we would eventually be low at food, maybe starvation. And so Me and my friends decided not to stay in our state, firstly it was because we wanted to see everything for our selves, we wanted to see the zombies. And the other reason was that we had heard from somebody that they were going to blow up one state by one state because they didn’t believe that we could stay insides or something. Honestly I have no idea what was going on, all I knew was that I wanted to get out and explore everything for myself, along with my friends Nolan, Kyrie and Zinnia.

Chapter 1 - Our story

" Isn't it beautiful how earth is cleaning itself. Turning the living into dead walkers and have them kill all living creatures around them? And then once all the living are gone the dead will live on for a while until they're dead and there's no living left on earth... isn't it beautiful?" Nolan spoke sarcastically and leaned back against the hard wood wall and dragged out a cigaret and lightened it.

I looked over at Zinnia giving her a 'Is he serious' look before my gaze turned back to Nolan and I rolled my eyes. " How is it beautiful that the entire earth is dying? Do tell... now I'm curious " I asked sarcastically and crosses my arms above my chest, giving Nolan some raised brows " Oh Come'n Tami... I'm just try a brighten up the mood here...." he grunted as he blew out a cloud off cigar. " Oh shut up Nolan, we all know this apocalypse is going to last until our final journey..." I snapped angrily. " Besides I'm already a bit pissed that I'm stuck here with you... I mean why couldn't we just stay at the camp where we would be safe with everyone else... behind fences and locked out from the outside world..." I grumble as I slide down the wall and tucked my legs up and rested my head up on my knees. " Well yeah... we could've stayed at the camp, but you heard the man, he was going to bomb the entire camp for no reason... which he did, and lucky for us we manage to escape " Nolan spat in a serious tone and tossed his cigarette at the ground and put his shoe up on it so the fire would die. " Hey guys... please..." Kyrie spoke in a soft tone and gave Me and Nolan an 'stop it' look.

" This is hard for everybody, and we have to stay together as a team to actually survive this whole apocalypse alright?" Kyrie sighed and shook his head. " He's right... as much as I wish not to be in this situation we have to make the best out off it and try to stick together... even so it can be hard sometimes " Zinnia said and gave me a serious stare.

After that we all went silent and sat quietly in the little cabin we'd mange to find. We weren't going to stay for too long though, soon we would have to go out hunting and looking for supplies and weapons to protect ourselves from the zombies. Each one off us had a story to tell, a story that would tell who we were, not who we are. Because who we are now are very different from who we was, now it's about surviving. We all know each other from school, we've been best friends since the first day in kindergarten. Sometimes if I dig deep enough, I can find the best memories we've shared together, and to be honest that has helped me through a lot, especially during the apocalypse. Sometimes I've wanted to give up. But as my dad once's told me,

' it's never to late to continue Tamika, I know that sometimes it'll be hard, and you just want to give up. But remember that you have come this far because there is something that keeps you going, you might not know what it is, but it is there. It's with you throughout your whole life, and believe me, in the end it'll go, just keep going okay'. This were he's last words before he was in a car crash and past away. I think he's my reminder to wanting to live, sometimes it's almost as if he's right there with me. And because off what happens with dad, my mom was a wreck, she started doing drugs and drinking and eventually she just disappears and left me alone, on my own at the age off 16. The first years were really though, but my friends kept me going and here I am today, alive and the best... or was the best veterinarian in my state until this apocalypse Brooke out.

Nolan and kyrie on the other side are Steph brothers, Kyrie was running from a war in Africa and ended up in America, in the beginning he had no home and ran around stealing and starving. But eventually Nolan and he's family took him in and eventually adopted him as their child. In the beginning they tried to find kyrie's parents, but they'd vanished, just as quick as a tear. Nolan and Kyrie have a close relations ship, and I can't imagine the two off them being separated, it would be like tearing a heart into two pieces, and when that's done the heart doesn't work, none off the pieces does. Before Kyrie came Nolan had a hard time with his father, he didn't have a close relation ship to him, all he thought Nolan was that if he didn't grew up being the same as his father he would become a failure, and obviously Nolan didn't accept this which then he ended up being sent to the military. And after military Kyrie came along which made Nolan's life a bit better, but he had to go back, and as I said you can't tear a heart apart so Kyrie tagged along with Nolan. Kyrie and Nolan's parents stayed at the camp that was bombed even though we knew the truth and we all tried to drag them with us, but Nolan's stubborn father beloved that he was a failure and all he was saying was a lie. So I guess you know what happens to them next.

So Zinnia's story isn't much to talk about really, she had normal parents that liked to travel a lot. No they weren't rich, they just used their money wisely. And well her parents where killed by zombies before anyone knew about it, sadly.

So we're all orphans you could say, but at the same time I wouldn't say that because I'm 18, so is Zinnia, but Nolan is 22 and Kyrie is 20, so we're adults taking responsibility for our actions, most off the time, not all the time really, not anymore. Now we don't really care about what our actions does, especially not towards other people. We don't trust anyone else outside off our little group. But now that we've traveled outside off the city we haven't had much human interaction, besides each other. It's a weird feeling, and I still can't really process it, but I know that as time passes, I'm probably going to get used to it really quickly.
