Chapter 66 - Whites Swordsman 13

The two continued their hunt for wild beasts and were quite fruitful in their expedition. They encountered a large beetle creature which was quickly rendered incapable to fight by Qi Yuan.

The beetle had a friend which tried to save their comrade but failed miserably with one motion from Qi Yuan.

Since they had two subjects with relatively equal injuries, Qi Yuan gave one of them the normal healing potion and the other was given special healing potion and the duo observed the beetles reactions to it.

Since Qi Yuan held back and didn't cause them severe injuries unlike Li, the one given the normal healing potion recovered normally after a few minutes. But, the beetle given the special potion recovered in under a minute with no signs of injuries and its strength seemed to have grown quite a bit, making it much more stronger then its friend.

QI Yuan jotted down the findings happily and the duo continued to repeat the experiment on different beasts until all five of the special potions ran out.

Noticing that they ran out, with a dark expression, Li reluctantly said "Uh...we ran out. We're done right? You got your data right?"

Of course Qi Yuan would simply say "Yep, you can go home." That would be too easy for Li, instead he looked at Li with wide eyes and a bright smile which made him look like a crazed scientist "Do researchers stop after one trial period? Of course they don't! Don't worry, I have plenty of resources to continue making health potions, let's go back!."

With that, Qi Yuan dragged Li back to the cave "SOMEBODY SAVE ME!" Was the last thing heard across the forest.

When they returned, they created the potions again using Li's blood.

The rest of the day, the duo just created as many healing potions as they could with Li's blood so they don't have to come back so often.

Li asked Qi Yuan if they are going to do anything else, to which Qi Yuan told him that for the last day or two left, they will just find creatures and give them potions.

He said to Li that when he gathers the needed material to create higher tiered potions or pills, he will come find Li, which displeased Li a lot.

For the last remaining days, the duo set out again and hunted a variety of creatures throughout the forest and a lot of them, Qi Yuan forced Li to fight.

He wanted Li to get used to fighting while giving him some pointers on his footwork and ways to increase his power through his body.

It was like a mini training session Li had to do which Li himself found to be quite fun but also very easy. As a cultivator, he was in the strong body realm and his body was already incredible with its high durability and stamina before his growth.

Being in the strong body realm seemed to have increased his body's stamina and durability that far surpasses any ordinary tier 1 cultivator.

However, this growth in power made Xuan li very worried, over his time with Qi Yuan, he noticed all aspects of his body had increased since advancing like his regeneration. He was worried that if he kept advancing stages in his cultivation, his body would end up becoming impenetrable entirely.

He already felt that a lot of the previous people who tried to hurt him before and succeeded wouldn't be able to leave a mark on him any more.

The worst part was that Li didn't even know how he advanced!

He double checked with Qi Yuan about the nature of cultivators and how every cultivator has a cultivation art that builds their whole foundation and is responsible for their growth across the different tiers.

Now Li knew he didn't nor was going to practice a cultivation art yet he still advanced from nowhere! Truly, he found his luck to be horrible and wondered what horrible act he committed to lady luck for such an outcome.

If any cultivator heard Li's thoughts, he would immediately be beaten up and proclaimed as a worldwide enemy to them! Every single cultivator would love Li's condition, who wouldn't want an automatic cultivation body?

Anyway, after going through all their healing potions, the two were about to head back when they ran into a bird. Qi Yuan got an idea and injured the bird to submission and asked Li to give his blood to it.

"What why?" Li asked.

"I want to see whether your blood, in its purest form, works better than our potions."

Li did as he was told and gave his blood to the bird until his wound healed.

In a matter of seconds, the bird started to heal all his wounds. Its healing was much faster than the potions Qi Yuan made with Li's blood.

Next the bird started to grow and grow until they towered over the duo.

"Wow...It went from an ordinary bird to a tier two spirit beast!" Qi Yuan exclaimed in fascination.

However, the big bird started to spasms uncontrollably, the duo moved away as they didn't want to get hurt from its big body.

Next, the bird's power continued to rise and as it was about to evolve to tier 3, it exploded!

The bird's blood sprayed Xuan Li and Qi Yuan and the surrounding trees were covered in red.

"Okay...don't feed your blood to anyone."

"Yep."

The two first took a bath from a random river they found, of course they took turns to do it. However Qi Yuan stressed to Li to not come over when he was going to wash himself off the blood.

Li rolled his eyes.

Afterwards, the duo returned to the cave as they packed up everything from it.

"Congrats, we will return tomorrow morning," Qi Yuan said.

Li dropped to his knees in near tears "Finally! I'm free!" He shouted with all his might

And that's how Li's horrible and torturous week ended.
