Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

I woke up with a start, and looked around me.

Danglebells! I'm still here! So it was all real?

How is this possible? Last thing I remember is losing my balance and was about to hurt myself with a fork. What on earth happened to me? Wait, could this be like those manga I've read? Did I die and got reincarnated? Or for some reason got transmigrated? But it's in the World of Genus. It's too good to be true. Not that I mind, after all it's a dream come true for someone like me.

This is so awesome!

Wait, now that I think about it... if this is something similar to those manga and inside a game like WoG, then could it have a game system as well? Danglebells! That would be the best.

I should be able to summon a window for my stats or something, right?

Hmmm...

"Stat!"

Nothing happened.

"Windows! Appear! Open! Status!"

Still nothing.

"Tch!"

So, it's not like that. Well, if it is then I should have gotten some sort of notification yesterday, right? Too bad.

I slumped back to my bed and just stared at the ceiling. A smile started forming on my lips. Well, it doesn't really matter. Who cares if I got reincarnated or transmigrated or whatever. The important thing is I'm here, and it's real, inside World of Genus, not to mention with the people I actually knew. Well, not that I'm particularly close with any of my guildmates, except Nero. But base on what happened yesterday, so far almost everything and everyone is consistent with the ones I knew. Generally, at least. Nero and Jeila... that's new. And also about Teiran...

Ah. But who cares. I did think that Nero and Jeila are a good match, I mean I used to silently cheer for them before when everyone started teasing them. And it's not that bad getting pampered and having a big brother like Teiran. Except the 'overprotective brother' part, his personality is consistent with the original too.

Right. I'm sure everything's going to be fine. This is my chance of living a life that I've always wanted and dreamed of.

I can't wait to hunt monsters, run dungeons and do quests. And since I just changed to my 5th job class, there should be more maps available now.

I'm going to take my time visiting all the cities and villages in WoG. Elves, dwarves, orcs... not to mention the Cat kins. And the delicacies too! Definitely the best part. I can't wait to see everything!

Just then, my internal monologue got interrupted by a knock on my door.

"Ms. Avyzhia, are you awake? It's me Rheal."

Rheal? Who's that again? I don't think we have a guild member with that name. No wait, didn't Teiran said something about someone bringing me clothes this morning.

"Y-Yeah, I'm awake. Please come in."

My eyes widened when I saw the person on the other side of the door.

"Good morning, Ms. Avyzhia. I've brought some change of clothes as master instructed."

Rheal turned out to be one of original Teiran's familiars. Well, not exactly like the familiars wizards have, but a super rare gacha item he won from an event that increases attack range by 30%. Everyone made a fuss about it cause he's the only one we knew who had it. This Rheal however isn't a semi-transparent spirit that floats around him, but a real person. And she's super cute, though a little too serious looking.

By 'master', does she mean Teiran? Is she Teiran's apprentice? He has an apprentice? Wow. Well, he is one of the best hunter class member of the guild, despite his attitude he's really strong.

"Thank you, Rheal. Let me treat you to a meal sometime for your troubles." I got up and took the bundle from her.

"T-There's no need for that, miss. I'm just doing what master asked."

Aww. She sounded shy, is she blushing? How cute.

"Of course, there is. And please just call me Avy, you don't need to be too formal with me. I'm not your master."

"I-I can't do that. You're my master's si- "

"'Avy'." I interrupted in a serious tone.

"...then... how about 'Ms. Avy'?" She asked softly.

I just smiled at her in agreement.

Since the 'Rheal' I used to know is just a gacha item I used to admire from a far, it'd be nice to get friendly with this one. It feels like having a little sister of some sort.

Which should be a good thing. After all from what I remember Emblem have very few female members, I should get friendly with everyone.

"Master said he'll wait for you in the common room, so you should take your time."

"I see. Are you eating breakfast with us then?"

She shook her head no. "I'm going to handle some paperworks regarding the new guild so I'm going to be busy starting today."

"New guild?"

"Ah, you probably hadn't heard of it since you just came back. It was decided that Emblem will sponsor a sub guild for the less experienced members. And I was chosen as it's guild master."

"Whoah, that's awesome! Congratulations. Everyone must have a lot of trust in you to be given that position."

"Actually, nobody wants to do it so we had to draw lots and I got unlucky."

"'Unlucky', huh? Ha, ha."

I understand what she meant. Emblem may not be one of the largest guilds in WoG, but our members are definitely one of the strongest. Our guild leader prioritizes quality over quantity. Minimum entry requirement is level 100 and must be at least in 3rd job class, not to mention the weekly guild wars and world dungeon runs are mandatory.

In short, all of Emblem's members are individually strong, even our teamwork during runs and wars aren't bad. But that's it. Outside the required wars and runs, everyone only really cares about getting stronger by themselves. I mean, if everyone doesn't prefer soloing I would've probably been kicked out of the guild already. And this new guild for 'less experienced' members is probably just the core members wanting to dump training the newbies to someone else once and for all. Rheal must really have a lot on her plate right now.

"Hey, if you need anything, just let me know. I don't have a lot of experience on guild wars, but I can at least solo certain boss monsters." I grinned confidently.

"Thank you, Ms. Avy. I will keep that in mind." She smiled gratefully. "Then if you don't need anything else, I will take my leave."

"Okay. Thanks again. And good luck! I'll definitely treat you to a meal when the new guild is established."

"I will look forward to it."

Daggers. Check.

Katars. Check.

Bow and arrows. Check.

I should bring some Shuriken, just in case. And 10 bottles of my poison should be more than enough.

Since I don't have my Inventory, I'm carrying everything myself. Did Teiran chose this set of clothes himself? All of the equipment and ammo I usually have with me have a place in them. As expected of my brother, he's so reliable.

Teiran wasn't kidding when he said I don't really have anything in my closet though. Other than some pajama and underwear, I really don't have anything in it unless you count the leather straps and cloaks. And was I such a tomboy that I'd actually decorate my walls with the weapons I owned?

When I was playing on my computer, of course there's no need to spend on some set of fancy costumes and room decorations. I'd rather buy better equipments or upgrade them. This has to change now though. It won't hurt to own at least one dress or a Moonbeast stuffed toy or two. Adventurer or not, I'm still a girl. I'm definitely going to need a dress someday and maybe secretly invite someone over or something. I can't have my room look like some weapons storeroom.

I wasn't able to date in my previous life, but maybe this time I could get lucky.

But, let's just take everything slowly for now. I can't wait to start my adventuring days.

"Come on, Jeila. Don't be like this."

I heard someone called out in the hallway. The voice sounded frantic. What's going on?

Since I'm already ready to go anyway, I decided to check it out. I was taken aback with the scene.

Jeila, or at least I think that's her, has a couple of bags in her hands while her Metalbeast pet is carrying a couple more plus some boxes. Is she going somewhere?

"I'm sure he didn't mean it. You don't have to do this. You're being rash."

Oh, so that was Dheyniz earlier. She looked more stunning in person. Being the only female knight in the guild, I imagined her to look more fierce and muscle-ly. She's more feminine than I thought.

"Please get out of my way, this has got nothing to do with you."

"Can you at least wait until Rheal finishes establishing the sub guild? You can transfer there then, I'm pretty sure Rheal would appreciate another pair of hands."

Transfer? Is she leaving the guild? Why?

"What's going on?" I asked the girl nearest to me, who happens to be Mertyla, the only female merchant class of Emblem.

"A-Avyzhia?"

Apparently I startled her when I suddenly spoke because she called my name a little loud, getting the attention of not only Dheyniz and Jeila, but also of Rosette who stood nearest to the two.

"Umm..."

This feels very awkward. Why are they looking at me like that? Do I have something on my face?

Nobody said anything, but Jeila glared at me fiercely before she forcibly pushed the female knight out of her way and went out of the door, followed closely by her pet.

"Jeila, wait." Dheyniz called after her, but she's already gone.

"This is all your fault." Rosette glared at me, looking like she's about to cry. "If it weren't for you he- "

"Stop it, Rose. We all know it's not Avyzhia's fault. With how things were going, it's bound to happen." Dheyniz interrupted.

"Well she's still part of it!" Rosette threw me another glare before stomping away. Mertyla followed her after mumbling 'sorry', leaving only Dheyniz and I in the hallway.

"I'm sorry about that." She sighed heavily.

"Did I do something?" I asked slowly. What did I do? I barely talked to anyone last night, or was it from before the job trial? I don't really have any memory of that. "Is Jeila leaving the guild because of me?"

"That..." Dheyniz hesitated, but gave in still. "...not you, exactly."

Dheyniz told me everything she knew of what happened. Apparently, Nero and Jeila had an argument last night. Well, they usually bicker all the time so everyone just went about their business even though they were in the common room. Then it turned more intense than usual, and suddenly Jeila was already shouting and crying at Nero. He tried to calm her down but she won't hear any of it, to make matters worse she suddenly made him choose between her and me.

Well, damn. I never imagined I would be put in a situation like this.

For the record, even though I've known Nero for the longest time and we totaled 3 guilds together, I had never thought of him that way. And I'm positive that he's the same. I'm pretty sure it's just a big misunderstanding.

Plus how could Jeila just up and leave the guild because of something like that? If she's upset then why not just leave for a couple of days, Nero would've done the same. They often do something like that before anyway.

There are times when the bickering they do on the guild chatroom get super intense that nobody can stop them, not even the guild master, and then they ignore each other for days. After a while they'll be at it again.

I didn't even try to meddle before, why do I have to get dragged in the middle of it now?
